Mission: Mission 105: The Mirror, Shattered
Location: Various Locations - USS Infinity
Timeline: 1030Hrs - October 8th, 2393

The USS Infinity emerged from warp near the rendezvous point before she was to head back to the portal. T'Shaamet was in sickbay, sitting on a biobed as she regarded her husband in silence, while he was giving her a quick medical checkup. She was half tempted to give in to the impulse and start swinging her legs as a human child would. The only reason she did not was of the woman nearby who was over a foot taller then she was and almost eighty pounds heavier.

Commander Sarah Horner regarded the small Vulcan female before her as well as the ship's chief medical officer and the Captain's spouse. "Well, their leader has indicated that the vast majority wish to return to our universe with us. He cites that the Empire has seen periods of instability before and nothing has changed, this series of events we dealt with is nothing new to them."

"Makes sense," T'Shaamet answered. "Make sure you impress upon him that if he comes with us, that choice cannot be unmade..." as she regarded Horner with a look. "We arrive at the rift in about an hour or so. I want them to be sure that they are ready to deal with the ramifications of their choice," she commented with her usual soft dulcet tones before she turned to her husband, she regarded him with a soft smile. "So, will I live?"

"Yes, but you do need treatment for a couple of conditions that bother you." Antilles regarded his spouse. She could see he wasn't flirting with her and this wasn't a way of him seducing her. "What are my problems?"

"You did take a major head injury a few days ago, plus you have been driving yourself hard throughout this assignment," Antilles explained. "Captain, yes you are my spouse and the mother of my children but I'd like very much for you to get some rest after we get home. I have made arrangements for our usual babysitter to look after Evoras and T'Rama for a week or so. While you catch up on sleep and I get to watch over you and make sure you are not overdoing anything. Doctors' orders..."

Horner knew she had to step in here and prevent this from getting out of hand. "Captain, please... He's right. You're not the only one guilty of this... We're all been pushing at this mission hard... I was going to give extended shore leave for the crew when we got to Vanguard... The crew has earned it and it would be easier if they saw you getting into it as much as they did."

T'Shaamet regarded first her husband and then her first officer. "I was going to take some time off... You need not worry number one, Jackson..." she assured them both. "Getting some time off the ship will help me... I wonder what the beaches and deserts on Utgarde are like..." she regarded her husband as she said it. "Sarah, go see the leaders of our passengers and see what they had decided if you would be so kind... I suspect my husband wishes a moment alone with me."

Horner raised an eyebrow. "I will leave you two alone then..." and with that, she turned and departed as T'Shaamet regarded her husband as if waiting for him to start yelling at her or something. Antilles regarded his spouse in silence for a moment. "You didn't want to take the time off... Did you?"

"Why would you draw that conclusion?" the small Vulcan inquired. "Your logic escapes me."

"It's not logic. T'Shaamet. It's a simple statement. I know you and I know how you think. But you said you were taking time off... So I won't need to resort to such distasteful measures." as Antilles regarded her. "Such as setting up a campground ahead of time and then having you beamed down while you slept, seemed rather abrupt... I would have preferred you to have some to this relaxation yourself rather then my forcing it on you."

"You would have me kidnapped from my ship?" T'Shaamet inquired. "With members of the crew assisting you with said effort?"

"I would and quite happily too," Antilles answered. "What's more, you know I would do it too."

T'Shaamet regarded her husband. "I know... That's why I already decided that leave time for us both, somewhere with no technology would be good for us both, you get to meditate and I get to sit back and bake... What is there not to like?" the small Vulcan inquired. "I think that's how you humans say the line?."

"Yeah, you got the line right," Antilles answered as he regarded her. "It'll give us time to discuss these Klingon children..." he added.

"I was unsure if you were still thinking of the matter." T'Shaamet regarded her husband with a quiet look in her eyes.

"I am," Antilles admitted. "But we can discuss that later... Right now, you are in good health, minus the healing from your head wound," he commented. "I am concerned about you becoming exhausted, however."

"I will endeavor to work on it," T'Shaamet answered.
