| Personal History | Morae Stormstout was born on Reach, the second Vrukul colony world which was the first one the Vrykul Nation settled when they began expanding out from their home system two centuries earlier, now in 2270 when Morae was born, the Vrykul Nation was four dozen systems strong and growing. While growing up she was much loved but driven to excel. She found a home in policing duties and it was generally assumed that she would go into the local policing forces when she came of age but she surprised everyone by going into the military and thus could protect others on a planetary scale rather than a local scale. Her family supported her and off she went into training, she did well in basic where she picked up everything that she was taught, from weapons training to security procedures and protocols. To Criminal investigation procedures and the like. Graduating four years later, she was assigned to her first ship, the VSS Ego Crusher. Her assignments in the Vrykul military were relatively interesting in that she had to police the space-lines, look after various colonies and expand the Vrykul's borders. This with her got interesting during the Vrykul-Vauxhan War in which she was called into service to fight the war which she did with general enthusiasm. Over the course of the war, she was promoted and she was able to assist Fordring in the plan that would ultimately win the war and end the fighting. A year later when the first Federation starship arrived, the Excelsior had their first meeting with the Vrykul leadership as the Federation wanted to get to know the Vrykul people, several dozen Vrykul went to the Federation with the USS Excelsior when she returned. Morae instantly stuck in to join Starfleet, her application was approved and off she went to redo the schooling that she already knew, upon graduation. Morae was sent to Earth spacedock as a security officer and here she remained for eight years, becoming one of the towns Sheriff's, being nice and civil to veterans and punishing the lawbreakers before she was promoted and transferred to the USS Peerless, an older Ambassador class ships where she remained for another several years, she learned a great deal across the two assignments but while the Federation encountered the Borg and later the Dominion. Morae realized that a major fight was in the offing and she decided to prepare for it. She spent the early to mid-seventies fighting almost every enemy the Federation had and even a few of their allies too as she fought the Klingons in the Federation-Klingon War of 2373, the Second Borg attack of that same year and the Dominion Wars of the mid-seventies and she came through it all unscathed. Unlike a lot of others all around her. She went from the Dauntless to the USS Breedlove where she remained for a few more years. She was present for the recovery of Lieutenant Lee Yamaguchi and a couple of years after this event, she went over to the USS Courageous as their New Chief Security officer where she has remained almost to this day, were it not for the Courageous's twenty year refit when she started in 2388. She would have remained here. Morae was transferred along with everyone else from the USS Courageous over to the USS Song of the East which was a newly commissioned Pathfinder II class starship and she has remained here assigned to this ship ever since. When the Song of the East went in for refitting to Renown class specs. She and the rest of the crew were reassigned to the Renown class USS Infinity. |
