| Personal History | Kolar was born on Korvat colony in 2352 alongside his twin brother K'Wor. Korvat colony was Federation space and House Kaang was looking to diversify its interests into the Federation, partly to protect it against its various enemies but also because this house was a little more progressive then most. House Kaang saw unlimited expansion of the empire as ultimately foolish and wasteful of lives, treasure and effort as it was never going to happen. However the house in question was smart enough to keep this information and their opinions to themselves. However one of their main enemies, a House named Duras made their move with the aide of the Romulan military, they crippled or destroyed a dozen ships from other houses. In response. House Kaang began making more inroads into the Federation and it wasn't long before the house was almost Federation, their sons and daughters going off to serve in Starfleet instead of the Klingon defense force. The eldest son named Kolar was no different. His career in starfleet was one of singular distinction as he fought in over two dozen major battles, earning much honor for himself and his kin as he fought everyone from the Breen to the Klingons and back again, fighting in the Federations wars, he was there to help Jake Yamaguchi save the Courageous as Kolar took the conn station to help bring the damaged ship back into the fight and prevent the Jem'Hadar from finishing her off at the Battle of Coridan. Kolar remained aboard the Courageous, even starting a family here after meeting one of the science officers, he would go on to have three sons and when the Courageous went in for her twenty-year refit, her crew would all move over to the USS Song of the East, a new Pathfinder II Class ship. When the Song of the East went in for refitting to Renown class specs. He and the rest of the crew were reassigned to the Renown class USS Infinity. His assignment to the Infinity was memorable for several reasons but in late 2393, Kolar was offered the chance to move into command and become the Executive officer for the USS Farragut, he decided to accept and for the first time in his life and his career. Kolar was parted from his wife. |
