| General Overview | Heather Walking Bear is a generally cheerful young woman who has much going for her, she is easy to get along with and easy to please however once angered, she becomes unreasonable and argumentative, she does carry her emotions on her sleeve and isn't subtle about things whatsoever on any levels at all. When needed, she has no trouble stepping up to the plate when needed and has an excellent work ethic which means she's mentally flexible. When provoked, however, she can lose emotional and mental control in a very explosive fashion. This almost always ends poorly for all concerned. Heather is also a highly trained and dedicated pilot, she can handle complex calculations quickly. She's a devoted mother, wife and diplomatic officer, she's also an outstanding pilot, something she shares with her husband |

| Personal History | Heather Walking Bear was born in 2356 on the world of Alpha Centauri IV. A world rich in water and beaches, she grew up loving to swim in the seas and since the planet was warm from pole to pole, she didn't need to wear a lot either so she grew up wearing very little in terms of clothing. Walking Bear was always a practical woman as she joined the swim team in high school while she matured from a gawky child to a confidant and extremely good looking young woman. She and her team won two championships while she was in school but she was ultimately a pilot as she joined a flying club where she could hone her skills. Walking Bear discovered almost by accident that she had flying talents around eight years old and over time, until she developed her skills, she loved it but she also craved more and when she graduated high school. she instantly set an application to go to the academy. it was accepted and off she went to Earth where she not only encountered issues with men, she also encountered issues with the cold for the first time too. Walking Bear had been raised on a planet that was a good deal warmer then Earth was and it also was closer to its host star, so the sky's were brighter. Walking Bear went to the Academy in 2374 and she would become a pilot of renown. Some were comparing her to Albert Ball and Manfred Von Richthofen but she was very quick to remind people that she had never seen combat but she generally fared well against the Jem'Hadar in battle. However she would never get to face them as she didn't graduate until 2378 and she was assigned to the USS Hermes where she started showcasing her diplomatic skills in addition to her flying skills and this was ultimately what earned a promotion and eventually her assignment to the USS Courageous where Captain Yamaguchi was told he need a diplomatic officer or else so he settled for Heather Walking Bear since she was showcased as having top marks from her previous two assignments. Walking Bear ended up in a friendly duel with the ships Marine officer which she won, interested in him. The two began dating as she decided not to be coy about it and within months the two were married and she had twins, also around the same time she was the one who gave him the call-sign of 'Gryphon' as he had the eyes of a hawk and the strength of a lion. Walking Bear was now a full-time mother and wife to a Marine and while she didn't see it coming, she was also not opposed to it either and she's remained aboard the Courageous until 2388 as Chief of Conn and Chief Diplomatic Officer. In Mid 2388, she, along with her family and everyone else from the Courageous as she went in for her twenty-year refit, they was moved to the USS Song of the East, a newly commission Pathfinder II class starship and she remains here ever since. In 2389, she had a second set of twins and she's now raising four children with her husband beside her. She remained aboard the USS Song of the East as Chief Conn and Chief Diplomatic Officer until the Song of the East went in for refitting to Renown class specs. She and the rest of the crew were reassigned to the Renown class USS Infinity. In late 2393, she was offered the chance to be an Executive Officer of Starbase Vanguards ground base. Walking Bear accepted without hesitation. Later in early 2394. Her rank was adjusted as it was found by JAG that Walking Bear had been unfairly held back despite having an impeccable service record and often doing double duties on many of her assignments. However, all of this ended badly as in early 2394, she was needed on Starbase Vanguard to take over as their permanent second officer. She accepted. As she got to fly ships for a time. She would remain living on the planet surface but she would fly her shuttle to and from work every day. |
