T'Shaamet sighed. "Well... I guess we're fighting after all." the small-framed Vulcan sighed dramatically. "Very well, target their ships shield generators and communications suites," she said to Kayden. "Aye, sir..." as the Infinity began taking weapons hits from missiles from all three ships.

T'Shaamet sighed softly as it suddenly dawned on her that these fools she was facing didn't have the slightest clue who they were facing off against in battle. "Target the flanking Centaur first... And fire." T'Shaamet commented quietly. Kayden quickly finished with his firing solution as he launched several standard quantum missiles from the forward heavy vertical missile launcher, they sped across the darkness of space before smashing into their target, which quickly destroyed its shields and reduced it from a small ship of the line to several hunks of debris, however, the ship was still mostly intact, as the Infinity turned her attention to the other two ships.

The second Centaur moved in close to the Infinity while the Excelsior remained at range, the Centaur wanted to use its phasers which were stronger at close range while the Excelsior could batter the Infinity into submission from long range with sustained missile volleys. At least that was the theory that T'Shaamet was considering in her head, she ran a finger down her jawline as she watched the two remaining ships force her to split her attention between them both, one ar point-blank range and the other at a distance. "Nice grasp of tactics... But it won't help you." T'Shaamet muttered ever so softly under her breath.

"Are we jamming their calls for help?" Lt Commander Heather Walking Bear asked from her post at the front of the bridge.

Command Master Chief Petty Officer Elizabeth Smithson nodded her head. "Yes Commander, they can't call for help unless we wish it..." she answered with a nod of her head, it was clear that she didn't like having to fight her own but then Smithson suspected that everyone else on the bridge felt the same way too.

T'Shaamet regarded the two ships. "Now that we have closed with the Centaur. Let's deal with that Excelsior," she commented. "Nell, please make that ship go away." she was expecting to see the Excelsior suddenly melt and turn into a fireball but she was hoping Kayden wasn't going to be so blatant about it.

"Willdo skipper." the younger Bajoran answered as he launched four missiles and dropped two more like mines as Walking Bear who was watching the scenario unfold, played her part dramatically well as she clearly wanted to try and get away under limited impulse power. "They are intensifying their fire sir."

Lt Commander Meslina Amakawa turned her head. "I think we pissed 'em off sir," she commented to everyone on the bridge.

Meanwhile, the warheads that Kayden had launched at the Excelsior all suddenly went live all at once, they smashed into the elderly ship and reduced both nacelles to scrap metal, the Excelsior spun to starboard due to the kinetic force of the impacts as several internal explosions breached the hull from the inside out. While all of that was going on, the Centaur fell to a quick but short melee as the Infinity's phasers reduced her to more or less a floating piece of scrap metal.

T'Shaamet shook her head, she wanted to stay and help but she knew she couldn't do it. "What's the status of those three ships?"

"All three ships are severely damaged." came the response from Lt Commander Eknir Zh'Shraaliin, she too sounded unsettled and unsure, but that was to be expected. "One of the Centaurs is being abandoned and the Excelsior is tumbling out of control, however, one of the three ships is in danger of destruction at present." the Andorian reported.

"Can't we stay and help them?" Lieutenant Sapata M'Herris inquired gently.

"No Lieutenant," Duval answered. "We can't... We didn't pick this fight and what's worse was that it was completely unnecessary," he added.

"All because some Imperial captain decided he wished to show dominance over someone else," Meslina Amakawa answered as she let out a long sigh. "Did anyone get off a distress call?" she inquired.

"Negative sir," Smithson answered quietly as T'Shaamet nodded her head. "Alright then. Heather take us out of here... Warp eight, any heading. Now..."

"Aye Skipper," Walking Bear answered as the massive ship flew into warp, leaving the battle scene far behind them as they resumed their course and speed towards their next destination. "Heading two two nine, mark one-two... speed warp eight..." she commented. "I'll maintain this heading for another twenty minutes and then get us back on course for Starbase Sixty Two," Walking Bear reported.
