Mission: Mission 44: Operation Bedlam
Location: Planet Surface - Lobox VII
Timeline: 0900Hrs - October 6th 2391

On the Bridge of the Argonne Commander Sorvok observed the activity on the bridge. "Commander Spurrer, are the landing personnel ready?" The Vulcan captain asked his executive officer.

"They should be almost ready by now." Spurrer replied. "I'll call down and check. =/\= Spurrer to tranport room, are your marines ready Major Hobbs? =/\="

Meanwhile in the transport and fighter bay NCOs where busy shouting last minute orders at groups of camouflage armed marines moving in the hangers.

"Almost, we are finishing up our last minute inspections." Hobbs replied.

"=/\= Alright, please inform the bridge when you are all loaded up. =/\="

"Understood, Hobbs out."

Werner was busy loading his platoon up into a transport. The last man boarded and Werner did a last minute check. It was then he turned around to see Sergeant Major Devon. "You!" Werner shouted as he went for his K-Bar.

Devon had already unholstered his sidearm. "Go ahead and do it Gunther. I'll blow your empty head off your shoulders."

Werner snarled and left his knife alone. "What do you want?"

Devon smirked "I don't know how criminal scum like you got off that rock. I do know that soon you will die and I will enjoy watching you suffer."

"I'm going to kill you." Werner flatly told Devon.

Devon laughed at Werner's threat. "That would be an interesting trick. Now get your ass on that transport marine." Werner turned and boarded the transport.

Tienn Nerra loaded up with her marines. "Lets move it guys." she said softly as she gave Werner a look and then she noticed the other guy, now she frowned. "Move along gents... now." she said softly as she slid her sidearm away.

Behind her, two Orion female marines showed up, one carried a rather massive and ugly looking sniper rifle with a sidearm while the other was carrying some spotting gear in addition to a carbine.

Chalan walked into the transport followed by Varkon and nightstar, not even bothering to look at Devon. After him came four small beings, Ryuukei , Weyai, and Aerin Ranval, along with a Hivao Kurokuri, Kasana Rekevo. All four of them wore an Akurian combat vest and carried their normal energy rifles.

The door opened and in walked Sergeant Major Duval, he carried all of his gear as he looked around at the other marines, spotting first Werner and then Devon.

He growled softly before making himself comfy where he was sitting.

Yuri was sitting next to Duval, he himself carrying both a TR-117 with a trasporter attachment and grenade launcher as well as a 12.7 mm ballistic rifle with a transporter attachment.

Sparrer tapped on the comm. "Commander Sergeyev, are your fighters ready to launch?"

Sergeyev nodded, "Pozitivnyye tovarishch (affirmative Comarade). My wing is ready to go.

"We will be coming out of warp soon, have your pilots ready please." Sparrer replied.

The battlecruiser Ryazar's shield had somewhat longer ranged sensors. Arumi, whom was sitting in the command chair, put the ship at general quarters. She then said over the Comm," Ryazar's Shield to Argonne, We aren't picking up any ships at the target, looks like its all clear, but we know the romulans love their cloaking devices."

"Thank you Captain Arumi, stay alert and engage any enemy vessels." Sovok responded.

Meanwhile the Tranquility and the three destroyers were also moving into position as Commander Dvald's voice came over the com system. "Tranquility to Argonne. We're on station and ready for your wounded." she explained. "Try not to send me too many."

Carrie Hawkwood was seated on her bridge, she kept her silence as she looked at the display before them, indicating where various ships were in relation to the planet itself. "Alright.." she said to herself. "Helm, stay with the Tranquility."

Ryazar's Shield was the first to drop out of warp, followed seconds later by Argonne, Tranquility and the three Destroyers.

"Anything on our scopes," Arumi asked."

Lirvinx, whom was at operations control, shook his head," Nothing yet. The Ground base has detected us though, they have raised their shields. No wait, got Em, A D'Deridex and two Mogai's."

The three romulan ships dropped their cloaked and fired several shots at the battlecruiser, which promptly returned fire. However the romulan ships made no attempt to make a stand, and after making a firing pass, they recloaked and engaged their warp engines."

Arumi studied the situation carefully, while Lirvinx mentioned," Yeah its confirmed, all three of those ships had the same upgrades as the two warbirds we encountered a month ago."

"Even so they knew they didn't stand a chance, not with just those three ships, so they quickly beat feet out of here." Arumi added. She then said over the Comm to all ships," Those romulan ships where running the upgraded tech as well. I think its safe to say we cant keep akurian tech or federation transphasic shields out of romulan hands anymore, but at the very least, when we take this base, we should be able to find out all of what they got, and figure out just what else they where up too. Orbital space looks clear for now though."

Siaxx Dvald chortled softly. "Now that... was worth the price of admission."

One of the Captain's of the Destroyers spoke up over the com. "I feel cheated... I want my money back..."

"Don't worry... you'll get your money's worth.." Lorne commented. "I am sure this will be the first we've seen of them... and not the last.."

Arumi just nodded, But she was unable to shake that sinking feeling. Something about the whole situation just didn't feel right. Something kept nagging at her, but she couldn't figure out what.

Lirvinx felt it too," I don't like this, that was too easy."

Arumi nodded," Yeah."

"Proceed with caution and keep the task force informed of events." Sorvok answered.

Ryazar's Shield opened fire on the base defense shields with its secondary batteries. The destroyers also assisted and within moments, the shield was down.

"Argonne, the shield is down, your fighters are cleared to proceed."

"Acknowledged Ryazar's Shield. Commander Sergeyev, you are cleared to launch. After your unit secures the transport passage inform the bridge." Sorvok instructed.

Sergeyev acknowleged," All squadrons, the light is green."

Sergeyev was the first to leave the hangar, flying a scorpion bomber. Then following him where the EW Gryphons, then the remaining scorpions, and finally, the remaining Gryphons.

Meanwhile in the transport bay the marines were loaded on their transports. LaJae had an obvious look of distress on his face. He could finally take no more and got up from his seat and went over to Captain Tienn.

"Captain, I can't go on this mission." LaJae cried, tears streaming down his face. "I'm not a marine. I'm a logistics specialist. I don't belong here. Please don't make me go."

Tienn blinked her expressive eyes. "Sit down, shut up." she responded bluntly. "If I'm going... then so are you."

LaJae fell to his knees. "I'm begging you!" he cried. "Don't send me in. I'm not qualified. I don't want to die."

Tienn couldn't believe this situation was occurring. "You... are simply unbelievable." the small Bajoran woman growled. "Get the fuck back to your seat or I will have you throw out of this bird before we land... with your fat ass you might do some serious damage to the planet itself..." she got angerier. "Now GO... and SIT the Fuck DOWN!" she raised her voice.

LaJae kept his head down as he went back to his seat. "I shouldn't be here." Bross cried to himself.

Birkman looked over to him. "You big pussy. I hope you get killed."

"Shut the fuck up your asshole." LaJae cried.

Braelynn Di'Tomasso suddenly started slapping her pockets. "Shit.. where is it!" she called.

Odessa Martell regarded the other Orion woman. "Where's what?"

"Its here... fuck I can't find it.." Braelynn began frantically tearing apart her pack after she pulled it off of her back. "Shit, Shit. Shit!" she growled softly. "I can't find it."

Martell sighed as she held up a power cell. "Missing this!?"

"You stole it!" Di'Tomasso growled softly.

"You dropped it." as she gently unzipped the other womans jacket top and dropped it down her shirt, Braelynn sent a hand to chase it but only succeeded in pushing the power cell into her bra so she sighed before she peeled off her jacket and uniform top, then uniform undershirt with several dozen sets of eyes watching as she did this.

Braelynn clearly had no modesty at all as she stood up, almost topless. "Yes?" she looked down. "Oh." and with that she dressed slowly. "Sorry boys... shows over."

Tienn Nerra smiled as she watched the show with interest. "No.." she protested as she watched the Orion dress.

"LaJae brought down my morale and those Orion girls returned it to original levels." Hausser told Tienn. "I also lost the urge to break LaJae's neck."

"Maybe LaJae will do us a favor and not come back from this mission." Tienn smiled. "Now I see why my sibling prefers the female company..." as she glanced over at the two Orion woman who had resumed their preparations.

Meanwhile on the bridge of the Argonne Sparrer gave permission for the transports to launch. "The transport element is on it's way Captain." Sparrer told Sorvok.

"Excellent." Sorvok responded. Then Nye and Snee came onto the bridge. "You presence is not needed here Colonel. Please return to your command post." Sorvok told them.

"I don't think so you little green blooded twerp. I'm taking command of this ship." Nye told Sorvok.

Sorvok raised an eyebrow. "Colonel Nye, you are now acting disordinate. If you do not return to your station I will have security put you under arrest."

Nye smiled. "I'll save you the trouble. Korgnov, put Sorvok under arrest." Korgnov had his phaser drawn and a smile on his face.

"Your actions are illogical Nye. You will never be able to command the Argonne." Sorvok told Nye. "Computer: Colonel Nye is now under arrest. Remove him from the command position."

"Unable to comply." The computer responded. "Colonel Nye is in command of the Argonne."

Despite his Vulcan heritage, Sorvok had a confused look on his face. Nye continued to smile. "I knew those turds would put a little lap dog like you in charge. So before I was removed from this command I had a little program installed. Now I have command of the Argonne."

"Colonel Nye, you are hearby under arrest and will face a court..." Before sorvok could finish he was shot by Korgnov.

"You bastard!" Sparrer shouted and was then hit with a Klingon agonizer used by Snee. He fell to the deck in pain and Snee cackled.

Nye let out a laugh. "Send a message to the destroyers to back off and guard the hospital ship. The Argonne doesn't need their help."

LaMonica tuned her head. "Chto yebat' eto!" she growled in russian which the translator turned into "What the fuck is this!"

Meanwhile Smith-Carey looked between the people involved. "Whats this about!" he inquired politely.

Meanwhile Sergeyev contacted Ryazar's Shield. " O.K. my wings are deployed, once My guys got a target they cant take out, they will spot them for you."

Arumi nodded, "We got it." Sergeyev's tactics where quite simple, but brilliant. He had his flights of Gryphon's and EW Gryphon's go and make it look like they where about to make a run, provoking the romulan base to fire anti fighter missiles. His birds would immediately go into full evasion, while Arumi used her ships 20 cm guns to knock out the air defense installation. As soon as his fighters began their runs Sergeyev's assessments was quite correct. The bases air defenses where a lot stronger than the intel reports had given.

Lirvinx was the one to deliver the bad news. "Um, Arumi, colonel Nye is telling us to fall back for some reason. The destroyers are already pulling back.

Sergeyev, whom still had an open comm," WHAT?, tell that Fuckwit he can go fuck himself with the biggest railroad spike he can find."

Arumi looked annoyed, then said to Lirvinx and Sergeyev, "We aren't going anywhere, if fuckwit doesn't want our help, too bad we are doing it anyway, Sergeyev, proceed as planned."

Back on the Argonne several security personnel came onto the bridge. They had there weapons leveled at the bridge crew.

Korgnov smiled evilly at the bridge crew. He looked right at Smith-Carey, "We are acting more responsibly. Follow your orders given to you by Nye and all will go well. I have only stunned Sorvok. If any of you try anything stupid I will vaporize him and turn him into a few particles of atoms on the deck."

Nye then heard Sergeyev's reply to his orders. His face flashed red. He looked over at Korgnov, "Put two of your boys on the fighter deck. When that Russian bastard lands, have him shot." Korgnov smiled and nodded.

Smith-Carey growled. "More responsible my ass.." he growled softly. "You're gonna hang for this...Tellerite swine.." he whispered.

LaMonica meanwhile was gently tapping at her display, as she used her body to shield a message in the clear. "Do not land on Argonne, mutiny in progress. Argonne is bad."

A minute later she tapped the 'send' button.

Sergeyev swore loudly," I knew this rat bastard wouldn't give up so easily."

Arumi decided to contact Ryuukei, whom was in one of the Transports. "Ryuukei, this mission is going to shit fast, Nye just committed mutiny and took over the Argonne, and is now issuing some of the dumbest orders."

Ryuukei looked at Chalan and Nightstar, Both of them having heard over the Comm what was going on.

On board one of the transports Hobbs received LaMonica's text. Hobbs didn't know what to think. She showed the text to Captain Weichang. "What do you think? Is it an Orion trick?" She asked her junior officer.

Weichang shook her head. "I'm not sure. Would it hurt to try and contact Argonne?"

Hobbs sighed, unsure what to do. She finally decided to try and hail the Argonne. "Hobbs to Sorvok, We are starting our decent. Is everything still a go?" She asked.

"What why wouldn't it be?" Nye asked. "Are you losing your nerve Hobbs?"

"Where is Captain Sorvok?" Hobbs asked.

"Sorvok is no longer in charge. You take all orders through me. Anything else and I'll have you shot on the spot." Nye threatened Hobbs.

"Roger that Colonel, Hobbs out." Hobbs then turned to Weichang. "Nye took over." Weichang grimaced. Hobbs looked over at the shuttle pilot. "How long until we hit dirtside?"

"About two minutes." The pilot responded.

Tienn sighed. "Shit..." she sighed as people looked to her for what their orders were going to be. "Alright.. since we have no orbital support... Colonel, what now?" she asked Hobbs.

"Captain Tienn, my transport will attempt to go in. When we secure the landing zone the other transports will attempt to land. If our transport fails to land, do not send any more transports down. Understand?" Hobbs asked.

Tienn nodded her head. "Confirmed Colonel." as she tapped the display next to her. "All Transports, this is Two. hold station up here."

Hobbs called to Major Bix, the second in command of the landing force and on another transport. "Understood Major Bix?"

"Understood Colonel." Bix replied.

Ironhide looked over the map. "Ironhide to Crazy Ivan. Whats the plan?" he inquired. "My guys were sent to support you... so thats what I'm gonna do.."

"You are cleared to land transports." Nye stated. "Hobbs do you understand?"

"I know my duty Colonel." Hobbs replied sharply. "After and only after we secure the landing zone will the other transports land."

"You are on the borderline of losing your command Hobbs. Nye out." Nye looked at Snee. "Is Major Bix a team player?"

"Major Bix follows orders, if that is what you mean Colonel." Snee replied.

"Good, Hobbs is about to be relieved of her command." Nye told Snee.

Sergeyev watched in horror as the transports stated going down. "Fuckign retard Nye." He then activated the comm, Sergeyev to all fighters, The transports are going down anyway, form up and protect the transports by any means necessary. Ironhide, If I go Down, your in charge."

Ironhide nodded his head. "Confirmed." he sighed.

Sergeyev then sent a message to Nye, "Hey Knuckle Dragger What the hell do you think your doing, their air defenses are still up, are you trying to get everyone killed."

Nye fumed at Sergeyev's words. "Just do your duty, little pilot."

Just then Ironhide's voice came over the com. "Oh can it will ya." he growled. "Crazy Ivan. Ironhide here. I'm going to have my guys go in with the Wild Weasel strikes while you guard the transports."

Ramirez listened to all of the com clutter. "Fuck... Command is gonna have a field day with this clusterfuck of a mission."

Meanwhile Siaxx Dvald was sitting in the command chair on the Tranquility. "Oh this mission just went to hell." the small Bolian commented softly.

The skipper of the Miami sighed softly. "Well.. This is unexpected." as he sighed. "Tactical... is the Argonne targeting anyone?"

"Nosir." came the response.

"Very well. " Lorne responded as he narrowed his eyes. "Hail the Ericsson."

"Ericsson. Hawkwood here... Whats up H?"

"Skipper, we can't let this situaton go down like this... our guys on the ground need cover and we are stuck watching our back, You got orders?"

"I do.." Hawkwood sighed. "Arm all weapons, load all missile bays.. " she then sat down in his chair,. "Inform the other Destroyers to do the same.." she growled. "Akatsuki and Fairfax will handle the ground support and cover the Tranquility while the Miami and I... will handle the Argonne if she throws a tantrum."

Sergeyev's Birds managed to cover the transports long enough to allow them to land. However at the last minute, the base revealed its hidden air defense Armament, and over two dozen fighters got shot down, as well as three marine transports got hit. One managed to land safely, but the other two crashed. Only a third of Argonnes fighter wings remained in the air, the rest either shot down or forced to do an emergency landing on Ryazar's shield.

Sergeyev swore as a missile severed his port Nacelle. He just managed to get his burning bird out of the atmosphere and just managed to pull into the hangar of Ryazar's Shield as his engines gave out. His bird skidded halfway across the deck before coming to a Halt. Pulling himself free of the wreckage that was his scorpion he tapped his combadge, "Sorry Ironhide, my bird is scrap metal, your in charge now."

Ironhide nodded. "Confirmed Crazy Ivan. You make it down alright?" he inquired. "Destoyers, this is Ironhide. requesting ground support, take out those ground defense sites?"

"Confirmed." came a response as one Destroyer slowly shifted position before she opened fire with her main battery, drilling two of the sites along with one of the hidden ones. Ironhide sighed as he vectored his pilots in using wild weasel strikes to flush out the remaining ones.

A few minutes later Ironhide pulled the trigger to release his main warhead, he forgot about it as he sought to escape gravity's hold on his fighter before checking. "Yep. all SAM's are history... Ground teams whats your status?"

Tienn's voice came back. "Transport three here. I got four dead and eighteen wounded, they've been sent up to the Tranquility. "Its a right mess down here, we're still organizing... give me five minutes." Tienn then cut the com.

The small Bajoran woman tapped the display before her as it spat sparks in her general direction. "Yeah... this thing is toast. Lets unload our gear and get moving." she called to her charges. "LaJae, that means you too!"
