Mission: Mission 114: Be All My Sins Remember'd
Location: Various Locations - Starfleet Command
Timeline: 0800Hrs - October 28th, 2393

Master Admiral Pasha Andreyev was thankful that he wasn't asleep when the message came in about the Halanan cure that had been created by the medical staff on Starbase Vanguard. He smiled as he picked up a PADD. He jotted down a note to have the entire Starbase crew awarded the highest award the Federation had to offer. The Presidental Unit citation and the medical staff was to be awarded the highest medical award available in the Federation. It had been tested and whats more. The cure actually worked. Now it was the time to break the news to the rest of Starfleet command.

Andreyev moved into the large meeting hall, as he did, everyone else got up to their feet as a sign of respect. "Thank you, be seated, everyone." Andreyev smiled as he took his own seat. "Alright. We've been informed that Starbase Forty-Seven has managed to create a cure against the Halanan medical issues presently plaguing this species. It's been tried and tested and... Ladies and gentlemen, it works."

"It does?" Grand Admiral Xavier Bell inquired as he sat back in his chair. "We were assisting with the matter but most of our work was still only theoretical. Still. I'd say that congratulations are for the Starbase personel who assisted with the matter at hand. Fine work." he commented.

Grafton smiled. "Outstanding," he answered. "Why do I have a feeling that not everyone in the room is overly happy about this?"

"Where did they get their information from?" Master General Clement Beauchamp inquired as he leaned forward in his chair. "Because I was told that this was all theoretical and nothing more... Yet they went from talking about it. Acquiring infomation to use for the basis behind it. Then they went to make a cure. One that worked no less... Where did they get the infomation from for this effort?"

Veres slowly blinked her large eyes. "I will answer that one. Master General," she commented with a smile on her lips. "The infomation was deemed as classified and you. Along with most of the personel in the room were not informed. Due to the need for operational secrecy." the small-framed Caitian noticed the hushed chatter and people sharing looks. "We are all above reproach.!" Beauchamp answered. An annoyed tone in his voice.

"I never said you weren't General," Veres answered, her tone of voice had not changed. "However, due to the sensitive nature of this information. I must ask that it not leave the room..." as she tapped the display before her. The lights darkened before a display appeared before the gathering. "This is an interspacial connection... Which connects our reality to another reality... A portal, if you will." she explained.

"Wasn't that the mission that the Infinity went through to gain intelligence on the nation-states present?" Grand Admiral Chegwidden spoke up.

General Walther nodded his head. "Makes sense. Considering these guys have been downright..." he paused a moment for dramatic effect. "Unpleasant to deal with..." he was understating the relations with the nation-states and he knew it too. "Considering they have sent various people here in various missions."

Chegwidden nodded. "Yes, we have been able to deal with them in various ways... Mostly through themselves outing themselves."

Lu'Pal nodded. This Vulcan woman was on her last assignment before her retirement took effect on new years twenty-three ninety-four. She was already preparing her personel and her staff for her successor, whoever that was going to be. "Yes. I had heard of some of them, their files do make interesting reading..." the middle-aged woman then shrugged her shoulders in a manner that said she cared little for the matter at hand.

M'Tala was a Caitian female who was also head of Starfleet security. She regarded the Vulcan female with a measure of disdain and she was among those who would be glad to see the end of this Vulcan woman as head of Starfleet Operations before she retired. "They all make excellent Starfleet officers. They were motivated to do something different. Especially after the USS Charal was able to sever the connection between this reality and theirs... Those who remained are in the process of integrating into our societies."

It was then that Nick Castle spoke up. The man was the most enlisted man in all of Starfleet and his rank of Master Chief Petty Officer of Starfleet reflected this detail. "We're getting off the topic of why we're here," he commented. "We have a cure for the Halanan situation. What we need to sort out is how it's utilized and who gets it first..."

"The best people to decide that are the medical personel on the ground. On New Halana itself. We can make the cure available to them and they can handle the matter themselves." Doctor Malik Odan explained. "They will know better than anyone else who needs what."

Andreyev nodded his head. "Very well. I will contact Vanguard and make the arrangements. Thank you everyone." he answered with an air of finality.
