| Physical Description | Rae Sloane is generally good-looking, she wears her hair long and she often can be seen wearing her uniform tank top with the uniform vest and her pants rather than the over-jacket so she often gets confused for a junior ranking officer. Most of the time Rae encourages people to think she is a junior officer as they don't bug her for favors or political support. She is very physically toned and somewhat muscular as she tends to spend long hours in the gym. |

| Personal History | Rae Sloane was born the youngest of her siblings on the colony world of Harvest in 2340. Her father was a harsh and strict authoritarian and he tolerated no nonsense whatsoever from his children as he was just unsuited to raising children so he treated them like they were under his command. His wife tried to protest but Robert Blake was adamant, his word was law and he enforced it with ruthless force. Rae wasn't the only one on the receiving end of his wrath, her siblings were as well and her siblings decided not to follow their father who'm they hated into Starfleet which they openly despised as a result. Rae instead went off to starfleet and applied to the academy in the fall semester of 2358. She then proceeded to sever all communications with her father as she detested him for what he said and did to her as a while and as a young woman while growing up. However, she was able to maintain her relations with her siblings, even though that took a lot of work over the years. She focused very heavily on her studies and while her time at the academy was eventful for her, it was also quiet and so she graduated with honours before being assigned to a Starbase, in this case it was Starbase 417. She remained here for eight years, but she met one of the civilians, a man named John Sloane. The two ended up getting married and they had two children who grew up with their father who didn't have to deal with the same restrictions on life that their mother had to deal with as being a member of starfleet. Rae was not interested in exploration, more she was interested in developing the Federation's fighting and computer capabilities. Her first command came while she was assigned to Starbase 293, an older Regula III Class starbase which was something she didn't mind. Where as most others would prefer to command starships, she preferred starbase's and it would continue throughout her entire career. Her base was attacked four times during the Dominion war but she along with her personnel beat off the various enemy attacks each time. After the Dominion War. Rae was transferred from Starbase 293 to Starbase 234. Here she was promoted to Commodore and this started her march to the Admiralty, which was where she always wanted to go. In 2383, she was posted to Starbase 60 where she became Executive Officer for the Seventeenth Fleet. She did well in her new posting after a minor rough patch with her learning a lot in a short space of time. After adjusting she found she excelled at coordinating a large number of ships and assets in a selected area of space and a few years later she rose to become commander of the Seventeenth Fleet. In early 2390, Rae found herself being recalled and promoted so she could take over as the new Chief of Staff for the Starfleet Commander, this was a major step on her road to becoming Commander in Chief of Starfleet herself so she accepted. Since then she has remained on Earth as the Chief of Staff, knowing full well she has people she needs to make happy which she can't so she doesn't try. However in late 2393, she decided that it was time to call it a career and she dropped her notice. On December 1st of 2393, it took effect and she departed from Starfleet. Her career concluded as she returned home to Harvest for the first time in almost 36 years. |
