| Personal History | Julia Antilles was the second of a set of twins, born in 2336 on the New Denver Colony, this world was rich in animal life but also boasted lots of farmland so growing up, Julia Antilles learned the value of a hard days work. Unfortunately for Paul and Julia, their parents focused their efforts on him rather them both. Paul was always close with his twin sibling growing up and while she had to fight twice as hard, their parents were, in all honesty, bad parents as they tended to ignore poor Julia. Paul was sent to spend a summer with his uncle when disaster struck, the colony was attacked and nearly obliterated. Paul and a couple of others were the only survivors and so he was recovered by a Klingon Commander named Kaang. Julia however did not know any of this as she fought to recover from the loss of her twin as he was a part of her in ways her parents could never guess or know. What Julia also didn't know was that her family would start a long association with the Klingon house of Kaang. It was also very fortunate that Kaang himself was a moderate and a reformer rather than a traditional Klingon as he raised Paul to be a warrior but also to be more than just an average warrior. He found that in his absence. Julia had gotten into a relationship with a friend of hers she had met at school named Pash Cracken and by age thirteen, she had borne a son by him, she had named him Keyan and since her parents refused to have anything to do with him. Julia was forced to grow up extremely quickly so she moved out of her parent's home and in with her boyfriend who relied on his older siblings to help him with the accommodations since his folks also didn't approve of their relationship. Julia was forced to move out as her parents insisted she abort and when she refused, she was disowned by her folks. Her aunt Kadian Wolf took Julia in and helped with her issues. Wolf was not the type to coddle people and nor was she gentle or subtle, but she was exactly what Julia and Keyan needed. A steady hand and a watchful eye. Wolf would come and assist with matters but she would not move in. When Paul Antilles came back from the dead. The event return was a major shock to Julia, she had adjusted and moved on since her brothers passing. She was now a mother in her own right and her son was a handful. Kadian Wolf did much to reconcile the siblings back to some semblance of a family but the picture got more crowded with the introduction of Andrea Crane, she brought Paul back down to Earth and Julia quickly noticed that the two were a perfect pair. They completed each other and were able to resolve many of the other's issues. Paul offered to move in and assist Julia with her son and various issues and concerns. She refused him as she did not need the issues that he would bring with him to add further problems to be addressed. She was proven right, and wrong at various times and places. Needless to say that Paul and Pash didn't get along was a major understatement. Even Julia could not bridge the divide between the two men as she quickly realized that they needed to deal with it themselves. However, all of this changed when Paul found out how much of a devoted father Pash turned out to be but more issues would arise when Pash who was not from Earth, took his son back to his people to be blessed as a Cracken but they refused to have anything to do with him. In revenge, Pash severed all ties to his people and refused to have anything further to do with them. He even went so far as to change his last name from Cracken to Farlander, an insult but one he took on the chin and made his own. This series of events created a bond between Paul and Pash that turned from abject hatred in the start to mutual trust, respect, and love as Paul accepted Pash as family, and nothing has ever broken that bond, not even death itself. Keyan was ten when Pash and Julia went to the academy but the stress of school very nearly destroyed their relationship. It took the meeting of Paul's first wife, the one who he would call his soul mate to remedy the various issues as Julia recalled meeting Andrea for the first time. Andrea was quite shy in their first few meetings as Paul, Pash, and Julia were family all in the academy, all of them were assigned to different quads. Minus the various issues, the foursome was able to adjust and they did well at the academy. By the second year, Paul and Andrea were married, and along came a set of twins. Paul graduated in 2363 and Julia graduated at the same time, except she would not serve with Paul for over ten years. However Julia and Pash would end up on various ships together, she would rise to gain her command and by 2372 she was offered command of the USS Fredrickson. She might have been an older Excelsior but as far as Julia was concerned, she was all she ever needed but it was the Dominion War that would shatter what family they had. Andrea Crane was killed and weeks later Pash Cracken who was by now a Lt Colonel in Starfighters died at the Battle of Benzar. This caused Julia to go through a slow decline as she slowly lost herself to her own rage, killing as many of the enemy as she could, it could have been argued that she enjoyed it, even looked forward to it. The Fredrickson was heavily damaged in one of the early battles of the Dominion War and needed to be towed away from the battle zone back to Starbase 38 where she was quickly refitted and repaired in time to see action in Operation Return, the first major Federation and Klingon victory of the war. On stardate 52646.1, the Fredrickson, along with the USS Sentinel and USS Musashi, was assigned to a Dominion sensor outpost in sector 25013, as part of an effort to destroy the shipyards at Orias III. The USS Fredrickson was destroyed within the first minutes of the engagement, taking most of her crew with her. Julia and a hundred or so were able to escape but over three hundred were lost in action. Julia was recovered by the USS Sentinel. She was assigned to another ship as Captain but this time it was an Akira class rather than an older Excelsior class, the USS Kenya, an Akira class ship and she was the one who ended up helping out with a lot of the administration work for the Seventh Fleet, helping Rear Admiral Valarie Umstead's command work all the smoother and by the end of the war she was using a new holo-communicator which she had adapted for use as a command and control interface. Julia spent several months perfecting and tweaking her system as fortune was with her, several skippers volunteered to assist her with her trials. The first major fight where her new system came to be used was at the battle of Chudala, the system allowed Julia to keep her forces better coordinated and controlled, she was also able to win a battle against a force of Jem'Hadar attack ships that outnumbered her three to one, she had her ships soaking off damage using a series of interlinked shields between her dozen ships and together they cleaned out the Jem'Hadar forces in and around Chudala. Her next fight was supporting the liberation of Betazed as the Dominion sent a relief force to strengthen their hold in the area around Betazed, and again, she won a major victory as the Klingons destroyed the original Dominion base where the attacks were coming from. Her last fight of the war was the March on Cardassia and the ending of the war, she was one of those who advocated the glassing of Cardassia but fortuitously she kept those opinions to herself. After the end of the war. Julia remained as part of the Seventh Fleet but she was reassigned from the USS Kenya to the end of the war before she was transferred to her third command. The USS Great Britain which was a Sovereign-class ship and brand spanking new and while her service here was good, she proved she could do administration as well as command, in fact, she liked admin work better than command so Valerie Umstead stuck in the paperwork to make it happen. Julia was transferred and promoted as she became the third in command of the Seventh Fleet, helping with the day to day operations of the fleet. Julia ended up on Starbase 156 which was an older Regula III Class. It was around this time that she met Julian Yeager who was between assignments, they hit it off rather well but he impregnated her almost by accident and this rather then separate them, it brought them closer together and they got married just weeks before their son, David Yeager was born. This was a base design that Julia outright detested but she was able to reorganize the efforts of the Cardassian relief efforts to more than double what they were six months earlier. She was assigned here for four years before getting promoted to Rear Admiral and then she ended up as the Exec of the Seventh Fleet, a Fleet she had fought for during the Dominion War, assigned out of Starbase Lya Station Alpha. Throughout their marriage with Julian Yeager. Julia has since had two more children which she has relished their pregnancies. Also, she reconciled with her son as he felt that she had abandoned her which was true. Admitting it to him she didn't ask for his forgiveness as she didn't deserve it but he gave it to her anyway as he understood that she had a job to do and she needed to do it. She was promoted and then reassigned to the new Starbase 375, which was a new Ournal I class while she assumed command of the Seventh Fleet and she would have been happy to remain here but in early 2391, she was asked to take over as Commander of Starfleet Forces - Alpha Quadrant. Julia told her not to simply refuse her as she was going to do but he explained the wisdom of accepting the command that she could do something with it and she was not a political lackey like John Walton was so Julia changed her mind and accepted. She remains on Starbase 67, with her children beside her while her husband is off commanding the Fourteenth fleet. She is going to make something of Starfleet Forces in the Alpha Quadrant like April Yamaguchi was doing in the Beta Quadrant. |
