Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Holodeck Nineteen - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1845Hrs - June 21st, 2393

Commander Tienn Iteela smiled as she sat down next to her boyfriend, she wanted to come with him to this family get-together as she needed help to resolve the issues the remained unaddressed between the two of them and she was not sure of what to do. Tienn looked at Nebris. "You think the kids get on with Jake?" she inquired, she felt it strange calling Jake Yamaguchi the grandfather to her children.

"Why not, they get on with their cousins," Nebris answered. "Maybe seeing everyone will help.." he sighed softly.

"Maybe." Tienn agreed but she was unsure, her boyfriend was still sorting himself out from the rabblerousing rebel he used to be before he was gender-switched over a year earlier, when he had assaulted then Commander Lasky and the two had gotten into a fistfight and Lasky had also threatened him to clean up his act or else.

Tienn had taken him in hand and had decided to form a friendship with him, the trouble was that one thing had led to another and she had ended up becoming pregnant with his babies, she had not been prepared for her issues or the troubles that would arise between Nebris and Tienn herself. The issues seemed to keep coming and it was wearing her down, she couldn't cope anymore with the issues between them and she was seriously considering ending their relationship as a result. "Nebris. We should talk."

"Tienn. All we ever do is fight and argue. Is there anything left to talk about?." he sounded utterly beaten and defeated. "I'm sorry it didn't work between us. I'm sorry..." he ran out of steam as he sighed. "I'm... sorry," he added as a whisper.

Tienn had not been expecting this and it showed. "Yeah... Actually, we do have much to discuss.," she responded quietly. "But first, I wanna know... Is our relationship worth saving? we both made mistakes and we both screwed up, more than once."

"Yeah Tienn, we did... Both of us. We were never meant to become parents to the twins so soon... " Nebris answered as he let out another sigh. "Yeah, we do need help. but who do we ask to help us with the kids.?" he paused. "Gabe or Savannah could help," Nebris answered.

"They have three infants already and they can't help us, they can hardly help themselves with their own problems," Tienn responded. "What about Rachael?" Tienn inquired. "I can't ask Elizabeth and Ouros can't do it either, she's got commitments," she explained.

"Rachael has had plenty of parenting experience and she could help... We can ask her, she misses her own children.. we can alleviate her issues." Nebris paused. "I need time to sort out who I am... All my life I was female, I was a brat and irresponsible, I was a child in a woman's body and I kept getting away with the stupid, insane shit I pulled. I was a drunken whore and I loved it, I loved it when guys would take me to bed, either alone or in groups, I didn't care I was whoring myself out, so long as I got to enjoy it, what did I care right?" Nebris paused a moment as he breathed in.

Tienn regarded him in silence, she had no idea about any of this but she elected to encourage him, to keep talking, venting his feelings and thoughts and that this might help him with his issues. "You've clearly thought about this for a long time, go on. There's more? isn't there?"

"Yeah." Nebris paused. "I didn't think you wanted to hear it?"

"Why would you assume that?. We've been more or less together for a year now.. and it been a challenge, yes, but I do care, I wanted to hear what was bothering you for months now, now we seem to have gotten there. So, since you are of mind to speak about your problems and concerns, time to vent. Go on, I have nowhere else I want to be... and you need to vent.."

Nebris seemed encouraged by all of this. So he sat back down and composed himself. "I didn't care. That I think... Was my main issue. I didn't feel what I was doing was wrong and what did I care of the men and women I slept with were just using me for their own gratification, for their own pleasure and not my own?." Nebris said. "What was it to me.... Well it matters.." he paused. "Because of some weird and strange transporter accident that s still not been fully explained, my life was Lasarra ended, shattered in the quantum fires of energies that were never designed to go through what they did... I was turned from female to male, right down to my DMNA coding. I can't go back to being female."

Tienn knew what a relationship with a woman was like as she sometimes on her own failed relationship with a woman named Benice Gyce, a relationship that had seemingly come right out of nowhere and developed on its own into a highly potent sexual relationship with these two women ending up in bed, fucking each other senseless more times then Tienn cared to admit.

Suddenly Torilla Yamaguchi's voice called out. "Guys, dinner's ready," she called loudly.

"I sometimes wonder if this was my fault."

Nebris regarded her. "What do you mean?" he inquired of her.

"Had I had more self-control, I could have prevented my being pregnant before it had ever taken place. I could have learned the lessons from my relationship with Gyce form coming back to haunt me. We weren't in a relationship for our sake, we were in it for the twins sakes."

Nebris nodded his head in agreement. "I know." he turned his head as he mentally touched Rachael's mind with his own. Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen was his doppelganger in this reality. Rachael turned to Savannah and Gabriel. "Nebris needs to talk to me, I'll see you guys at the table k?"

"Okay. Take it easy Rachie." Gabriel responded as Savannah added. "It'll be okay sweetie."

Rachael came over as she found Tienn Iteela and Nebris Yamaguchi seated alone. "Hey guys, what am I interrupting?"

Nebris regarded her, he owed this woman a penance and they both knew it. "Rachael. I am about to ask a great deal of you but before you turn me down... Would you consider looking after the twins for us so Tienn and I can sort out our issues."

"Yeah." Rachael surprised herself with her statement. "Is there anything special I should know about Halanian, human and Bajoran babies?"

"No. They are healthy and are quite intelligent as children go." Tienn answered in a flat tone what indicated how weary she felt. "I'll let you take them home with you tonight if you wanna drop by and collect their things with us."

"Yeah. I'll handle things with you. You two guys are finished as a couple then?" she inquired.

"We're going to take a break from our relationship and let things cool between us," Nebris answered quietly.

Rachael regarded Nebris, she saw her twin from another reality as she had at once time seduced Ennis, thinking that Lasarra was Rachael and Ennis had neither forgiven or forgotten that event but for now, she felt an intense surge of pity for the two people before her. "I'll take in the twins. How long should this be for?"

"I don't know.," Tienn answered.

"Alright. I'll assume that this is permanent and move on from there." Rachael responded in a gentle tone of voice.
