| Personal History | Kameron was born in 2366, he was the third child of what started out as a happy family but things went sour when his brother James was killed in an accident. Ranik blamed Kameron for his son's death rather than help his son through it, he caused the situation to explode out of control. His wife, however never forgave her son while Ranik realized over time that he had gone way too far but it was far too late to make amends. Jessica however, never bothered to make the effort. Everything fell apart on one January morning in 2388 when his youngest son was out with his older brother and a bunch of his friends at a pool party while Kameron was at home, celebrating his graduation from the academy. Something went horribly wrong and James drowned. It was an accident but Ranik couldn't deal with his own grief at the time. His grief turned to anger, as a result, harsh words were said between father and son. Kameron walked out in the middle of the tirade and Ranik disowned him in his rage. It was a mistake that would later haunt him in years to come as father and son no longer speak. Things were only exacerbated when Kameron refused to join the Marines and instead joined the Navy. He went off to the Academy to learn how to fly fighters and it was here he met a woman who would really define who and what he was, as a man, as a husband and later as a father to his own children, he vowed to his wife Elizabeth that he would not make his fathers mistakes. He originally kept the Solusar name for lack of anything better. When he got married to Elizabeth Yamaguchi, he took her name and dropped 'Solusar' altogether. For him, the choice was a simple one as her family cared about his well being and they made an effort to involve him in their affairs. Torilla regards him as kin, Jake does too as they both see the effect that Kameron has on Elizabeth, a calming balm for the angry woman, she too was a soothing balm for him as well. Torilla both liked and respected the young man for this. However, the effect was not to last. In late June their marriage would be tested as a misunderstanding between the two exploded into a major incident which ricked dragging a lot of other people into the matter, Kameron was not keen on dealing with his wife's rather massive family on the matter so he decided instead to leave things alone and let things take care of themselves. Kameron and Elizabeth spent a few days apart but before they could resolve issues on their own, fate stepped in with Ensign Tienn Iteela beating the living daylights out of his wife, this brought him back to her, it also made him want to demand revenge as he began plotting various ways to hurt what he saw as the 'mindless Bajoran bitch'. In the end, however, when he and Elizabeth resolved their issues, she asked him not to chase it, citing the need for JAG to deal with her as they generally tended to take a dim view of things like this happening on Federation ships, even one as bad as the USS Roanoke. Kameron acceded to his wife's request as he brought the cats that he had acquired from Teval for her to hang out with, the cats quickly bonded with Elizabeth and Kameron while they were living in sickbay, while she was waiting to get her knee fixed, then he would join her off on the Tranquility on medical leave, given to him by Commander Lasky who didn't need a long-winded explanation. Kameron remained by her side as she was evacuated from the USS Roanoke, with their cats to the USS Dreamcrusher as she was not capable of doing full duty while her knee was healing, they took Shadow from Fives with them as well as Comet and Avalanche with them. Now they are working on healing the rifts in their relationship while she's focusing on her pregnancy. Kameron remaining by her side. Early in January of 2392. Kameron watched as his wife gave birth to her brother and not her son, he had wanted her to keep the child as their own citing the father's problems and the fact that Lasky and Yamaguchi have problems between them. Elizabeth, however, kept her word and turned him over to Commander Lasky. Kameron respected her choice, even if he didn't like it, however, she did understand why and while she chose not to take issue with his issues with Lasky, she nevertheless began planning for her own children who would follow in short order. In the middle of March of 2392, Elizabeth would become pregnant, this time with her husband and now the two of them are preparing for their first child of their own, all of this while Kameron is training to become Chief Science Officer of the USS Dreamcrusher, a week or so later his training was completed and he was appointed to become department head of science, it also came with a promotion to Lieutenant. A year later, however, Kameron was reassigned to Starbase Vanguard as one of their science officers, his wife and son were sent along as well. |
