The Yamaguchi Get-together - Part One

Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Holodeck Nineteen - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1830Hrs - June 21st, 2393

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi wore a dark blue apron over the front of the black one-piece bathing suit she was wearing to protect her skin from anything that might come off the barbeque in front of her, the larger then average woman smiled as she ran the large metal spatula under one of the burgers, before she proceeded to flip it onto its back, there was a loud sizzle as the soft meat came into contact with the metal surface.

Torilla then took a moment to regard the scene before her, her entire family and all of their spouses except for Ennis Cullen were present. Her husband was nearby with the twins as they played in the sand, Jake was encouraging them to 'not' throw sand at the other. He was wearing a pair of black shorts and nothing else.

Rachael meanwhile was seated on one of the nearby deck chairs, she was wearing a light blue one piece that looked very nice on her while Savannah who was sitting nearby was wearing a two-piece bikini which really highlighted her figure, next to her was her husband who was wearing a pair of shorts, much like his father.

Ouros Yamaguchi was sitting on the ground, alone as she meditated, she was wearing a simple dark golden one-piece bathing suit that wrapped around her neck and was backless, she wore her hair short, unlike Elizabeth who wore hers long. Torilla knew that she had just ended a relationship that had really no chances of succeeding and while Torilla was unhappy about it, she also understood why Ouros had terminated the relationship.

Torilla had taken every chance she had to make these three adults from an alternate reality who were stranded in this one, welcome and like part of her family because as she was concerned, they were. She regarded Ouros with a smile. She watched the other woman slowly open her eyes before she locked eyes with Torilla, she smiled back at the older female.

Selendis was nearby, sitting next to her boyfriend as she was wearing a two-piece bathing suit that highlighted her femaleness. She seemed to greatly enjoy spending time with her boyfriend. For Torilla it was easy to see why as he was gentle with her and good to her. Atin meanwhile was wearing a black pair of boardshorts.

Meanwhile nearby was Tienn Iteela, the handsome Bajoran female who had a rather strained and unusual relationship with various members of this family as the incident with Elizabeth eighteen months earlier had shown that she was slow to forget or to forgive. Torilla knew that many in her family had easily forgiven her for what happened and many had forgotten about it, Elizabeth had not but then she had gone out of her way to make Tienn feel like part of the family any chance she had because she was dating Nebris who was, as far as Elizabeth was concerned, was her younger brother as while he came from another reality made no difference in Elizabeth's eyes, he was two years younger then she, herself was and she took the time to help him and assist him with Tienn.

Tienn was wearing a simple black one-piece singlet that highlighted her features really well as she was sitting next to her boyfriend, the two were having some serious issues in their relationship and Torilla know that unless these two resolved their issues, it would destroy their relationship, the children they had were the main issue so Torilla smiled as she decided to approach the two with an idea that might help them.

Torilla glanced over at Jake who was busy playing with all of the infants the gathering had brought with them. Gabe's three, Jake and Torilla's two, Nebris's two and Elizabeth's one were all hanging out with the father and grandfather respectively and Jake seemed to be having a good time with them all but Torilla could sense all of the feelings everyone present as everyone kept a close eye on Jake and the kids to make sure he didn't get overwhelmed with entertaining them.

Torilla smiled as she looked around, everything with her massive and oversized family was as it should be, she decided as she knew that many of them were adults and responsible for themselves, she couldn't help but be a little concerned at times, these people around her were her kin and her claim to fame among her own people.
