Mission: Mission 14: Rage Rage Rage Against the Dying of the Light
Location: Various Locations - USS Shadow
Timeline: 0910Hrs - April 15th, 2390

John's Quarters
John Doe is sat meditating in his Quarters waiting for what happens next it is the first time in a long time that he was not on a small ship with a group of strangers waiting for his moment to strike or waiting with the rest of the team for the mission to star. Yet this time was different he was on a starship just waiting for action. He is just waiting for the call to action.



Security Office
Joe was sitting at his desk going over the latest duty roster for the security department, they would need a couple new officers due to department transfers and ship transfers. There where a couple new ones waiting at Star Base 400, along with Sgt. Azhurlar. The Klingon was from the House of Torg and would come aboard the Shadow to be by Joe's side. Would also be good to see his cousin Lee again.



Starbase 400, Bar
M'i'kee sat with a drink in his right hand, a PADD in his left. He watched the room like a hawk, a habit he'd never really lost when in unfamiliar areas. It'd taken him weeks to stop doing it on the Shadow, and even then he still did it when in the crew lounge. This place had far too many people walking around for his liking.

He scrolled through the information Gabe had sent him the day before, Quite how he'd managed that trick M'i'kee wasn't sure but he knew that no matter what the problem somehow Gabe always managed to find a way around it, the man was too smart for his own good sometimes. On the PADD were detailed plans and specs for the two torpedoes the Orion's had used on them to such great effect, practically tearing a Sovereign class starship apart wasn't easy but Orions had managed to do just that.

"Does this guy ever sleep?" He thought aloud as he finished his drink, his eyes scanning down the screen at more and more technical data.

"Excuse me sir?" A passing waitress asked having just dropped off an order for the nearby table.

"Um... oh nothing sorry, just thinking out loud." he replied, turning to face the middle aged Bajoran, "Can I get another Tarkalean ale please?"

"Of course, I'll just be a few moments." The waitress replied with a smile.

"Thank you."

M'i'kee gave the waitress his glass and a nod. Rubbing his eyes he shut down the PADD. Most of the information presented on it was way above his head but he was able to grasp at least a little of it. Instead he looked out into space as the waitress returned and placed his drink on the table.

"One Tarkalean Ale, anything thing else?"

"No that'd be all thankyou." M'i'kee said as he took the glass.

"I'll be back in about ten minutes with another." The Bajoran said with a chuckle.

It suddenly dawned on M'i'kee just how quickly he was getting through the Ale.

"That would be great." He replied with a smile.

He picked the PADD back up, "May as well get this finished." He said to himself.



Security Office
Joe had finally finished the reports and decided to head over to see his cousin.



Main Bridge - USS Shadow
Telios Wintersnow took a moment to enjoy sitting in the Captain's chair as she felt
her tail get caught again for the umpteenth time as she reached down and pulled it
free but needless to say, this was getting to be quite irritating and painful. "I need to talk
to the Captain about her chair... its hurting me to sit here..." Telios thought to herself

To her surprise, she got a response. "Bad day dear?" came the telepathic response from
her mother who was also aboard ship.

"This chair... it hurts my tail..." Telios thought back, she was still happy to see her mother
whom she had missed for so long.

"Its okay dear." the older Draenei's voice drifted back. "I know how that feels... I had to
made a few adjustment to chairs that I use so I don't have that issue..."

"I don't think Captain Baldwin-Webb is going to let me have my way.." Telios sighed softly,
the first sound she had made aloud in over ten minutes, prompting a few others from the
personnel present on the bridge to look her way.

"Maybe... but maybe you should ask anyway.." Telios could almost see that slow creeping smile
cross her mothers face. "You never know honey."

"Yeah.. I'll ask her next time I see her." Telios commented as the older Draenei smiled. "Well.
I'd best head on back to work." and with that she went over to the turbolift door, it opened as
another officer she didn't know stepped out, she went around him and entered the turbolift.

Telios knew her day would be long as she rose to her hooves, which made an odd clopping
sound as she stood up. "Can I help you?"

Captain Michael Hunt and Acting Captain David Webb entered the bridge as they came face to face with Lt.Cmdr. Telios Wintersnow which shocked Captain Hunt as he had never seen a Draenei before.

"Could I have everyone's attention please? This is Captain Michael Hunt," David introduced him to the crew. Then he raised the PADD in his hand and read out the orders from Starfleet Command, "Acting Captain David Webb, Acting Commanding Officer of the USS Shadow. You are hereby requested and required to relinquish Command of your vessel to Captain Michael Hunt as of this Stardate. Signed Admiral Hollinger, Starfleet Command. Computer, transfer all command codes to that of Captain Michael Hunt. Voice Authorization: Bravo-Tango-Delta-Lima-Echo-359."

The computer made a series of beeps, "Transfer Complete. The USS Shadow is now under the command of Captain Michael Hunt."

"I relieve you, Sir." Mike said as he shook David's hand.

David replied, "I stand relieved. Sorry for the short notice. But Yoshi and I made a last minute decision that we didn't want to raise our daughter on a Starship and she wants to be highly involved in Jadzia's life. So she decided to resign her commission. I want to stay in Starfleet, but have no desire to command a ship. So to still work and to still live with my family, I've taken a desk job at Starfleet Command, Intelligence Department. They made me Acting Captain for this change of Command ceremony. To that end, Captain Hunt here is your new CO. It's been an honor serving with you all."

David removed the 4th gold pip from his collar and turned it and the PADD over to Captain Hunt. Mike said, "Good luck, Commander."

"Good luck, Captain. Take care of our former crew," David replied and left the bridge.

"As you were," Mike ordered the bridge crew. He walked over to Telios, "Lieutenant Commander Wintersnow. I've read over the Senior Officers personnel records. I'm under pressure to quickly fill the Executive Officer's spot. I think you have what this ship and I need in an XO. Are you interested?"

Telios Wintersnow smiled. "I'd be honored," she commented.

"Great. Congratulations Commander," Mike replaced her black pip with a gold one. He added, "Starting tomorrow, wear a red uniform."

"You have the Bridge, Number One," Mike ordered before going into his new ready room. He read over more personnel records to see how many of the Department Chief positions he could get filled before they left.

Mike tapped his comm-badge, "Captain Hunt to Lt.(JG) Duka. Please report to my ready room."
