Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Luhanna is generaly a happy woman, easy to get along with and relate to, she comes from a large family with several children of her own who are all adults but at present she is alone in the Federation, however this has recently changed, several other Draenei including a sibling and one of her children now serve in Starfleet. She has an inquisitive mind and has no troubles with working long shifts. Also she can play not one but a half a dozen musical instruments but also enjoys her time off with various activities, one of them is martial arts. She has a formidable skill set in regards to her species psionic skills, she is exceptionally strong with telekinesis but she's not a strong telepath, when facing off against a psionic threat, she will need to measure her response carefully. The Draenei have a weir form, it changes a few things including skin tone, eyes and fingers. The skin color goes from whatever the original color was to black, eyes change to red and the fingernails develop length until they are about six inches long. Also, they develop the mentality of a cornered animal which if not handled correctly, she can turn on her own. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Her work ethic and her attention to detail, she also has an excellent memory which is both good and bad. Also Luhanna has three black belts of various martial arts styles and in conjunction with her psionic abilities, makes her a truly frightening foe on the battlefield, however that said. she will go out of her way to avoid a fight. Weaknesses: She sometimes works too long and pushes herself too hard at times, also her mouth has gotten her into plenty of trouble which doesn't help any, also if she is attacked by another psionic, she will use lethal force. The Draenei weir form can be a serious weakness as it can be hard for Luhanna to control, when confronting her when she is in this state, use extreme caution. Also when others use telepathic assaults on her, she will return the interest using up to and including lethal force. |

| Ambitions | To see peace between her people and the Federation of which she had heard so much about before being rescued by a Starfleet vessel when her escape pod was damaged, had she not been recovered, she would most certainly have died. She's fascinated by the Federation as she had never seen an organization like it. The Federation Fleet is as vast as the space in which it patrols and is the greatest armada the galaxy has ever seen under one flag. |

| Personal History | The Draenei woman known as Luhanna Wintersnow was born in the Earth year twenty fifty, she was the youngest of her siblings as she was born on the Draenei colony of New Halaa and she grew up under the shadow of what she and her people considered the golden age of her history. The Draenei were a decent sized nation of some two hundred and fifty worlds, only a tenth of the size of the Federation yet their technology was in many ways more advanced then the Federations was, also their military was far more advanced with heavy carriers that are several thousand meters long to multi-legged walkers that are very heavily armed with the technology to transport them to whatever location to whatever other location they are needed via a combination of shuttle, transports and matter energy transport. Luhanna went into the sciences as she developed an interest in gravity and its relations with everything else in the known galaxy, she enlisted in her nations home military to protect the peace and the civilians among the various colonies. The Draenei have the ability to terraform strange planets into something one can live on as she spent her career in the sciences as well as various other skills, she would serve across many ships and colony worlds held by the Draenei. Their tech allowed them to use the same space frames for many centuries rather then several dozen years as most powers seemed to change their entire lineup in a distressingly short time. Also their tech allowed them to build ships on a truly impressive scale, some of them got up to sizes of over two dozen kilometers long but these kind of ships were few and far between as they instead preferred to use larger ship designs of about two to five kilometers in length for many of their ship designs, what's more they were able to use extremely strong armor plating, also in addition they were able to refine an alloy they gave their hulls incredible strength. Their Faster then Light technology also allowed them to move these massive ships around, they get around dealing with aggressive neighbors with shows of strength without being belligerent. Wintersnow served on many ships as part of the Draenei Confederation from the Revenge class Heavy Carrier Relentless to the Assault Carrier Shadows of Courage but the most dramatic assignment of her time as part of the Draenei military was as part of the Frigate Ardent Prayer when she was performing long distance reconnaissance of an area of space known to the Federation. The frigate was attacked by a group of mercenaries who were out for a quick payday but they were not intending to counter the sophisticated computer system's aboard the Ardent Prayer, even after taking heavy damage and forcing the crew to abandon ship, the Captain refused to leave and it was he along with his Chief Engineer who was able to hack into the mercenary computer systems and they turned their own ships systems against them, the end of the battle was brutal but swift. The Captain then went and recovered his entire crew, all except Luhanna herself who was instead recovered by a Starfleet vessel, named the USS Lionheart which was an older Oberth class science vessel. They recovered Wintersnow's escape pod and they were able to deliver her to the nearest Starbase since her home vessel had already moved on and left her behind, Wintersnow decided to join Starfleet at this point rather then sit around and do little, besides she was still young at two centuries of age. She had expected a more challenging education while at the academy and thus she was able to learn more about the Federation as she couldn't share with them any of her peoples advanced knowledge which was several decades ahead of the Federation as it would have caused her more issues then she was prepared to deal with or tolerate. She graduated near the top of her class at the academy and while she was offered the USS Ambassador for her first assignment, she refused as she felt she had an advantage over the other cadets as they were still young children, even at twenty compared to her two centuries of life, she had many advantages that others simply lacked so she requested USS York instead. Her assignment on the USS York was uneventful but full of interesting situations as she had to keep reminding herself that she was on a ship that was almost a thousand years outdated by her standards, but she was able to improve the York's systems in that they operated better and were generally more efficient by the time she was promoted and then transferred over to the USS Melbourne, one of the newer Excelsior class ships that was less then two years out of the yards, Starfleet command was now getting concerned about the general age of the ships in the fleet and they started a major research and development drive which would produce some of the newer ships seen later on, of course Luhanna's improvements in the York's systems factored into this. She was transferred from the USS York to the USS Melbourne in mid 2336 as she was assigned to assist with rebuilding the ships computer core which she did in four months rather then the assigned six, what's more the system worked twenty percent more efficiently. From there she was reassigned to the USS Ronald Regan. Across fifty years of service in Starfleet, Luhanna went from one assignment to the next, never really attracting a lot of notice but she did earn a great deal of respect and accolades from her service aboard the various ships she was assigned to. She helped design the sensor control systems installed aboard the USS Yamato as well as complete the computer core reprogramming job alone in six months, this work earned her a commendation for original thinking as normally it would have taken a crew of four the same time to do the same job. She missed Wolf Three Five Nine as the Prosecutor was several hours too far away to be of use in the battle, however she did help save many hundreds of lives from the crippled and destroyed ships, the Prosecutor helped to recover fallen personnel and escape pods from the battle, then she headed for the nearest Starfleet base to drop them off then she made for Earth, again arriving too late to be of any use, she did however began the salvage operation on the Borg wreckage, as well as recover several dozen of the former Starfleet personnel who had been assimilated by the Borg. For Wintersnow this was a major shock, she had no idea that an invading species could be so parasitic in stealing bodies from the Federation, or anyone else for that matter so she began to develop an interest in dealing with the Borg but while she developed new research and technology for dealing with the Borg while being assigned to Starfleet vessels like the London and the Fearless, she found it wasn't until she was assigned to the Warspite where she could do some good, However before she could do anything, the Borg attacked again in what's now called 'The Second Borg attack' where they were able to fight their way to Earth orbit, it was only by the intervention of the Starship Enterprise-E that the Federation Fleet was able to destroy the Cube at Earth, to say nothing of silencing the critics, it also impressed Luhanna as well, maybe the Federation could benefit from some Draenei technology after all but before she could open that line of communication. the war with the Dominion started. During the battle for Tyra, the Warspite was badly mauled during the battle and she was one of fourteen to survive that massacre, she also brought home some four thousand personnel from the other ships that had been destroyed during the battle. She cross decked to other ships many time during the war as she decided that she needed to help take the fight back to the enemy, her research into dealing with the Borg on permanent hold for the time being as she found she enjoyed killing Jem'Hadar and Cardassians, she fought the entire war, from first shot to last on the bridge of many ships, helping to kill them while keeping her own people alive. She earned much respect and valor as well as four medals for various actions during the war. As soon as the war ended, she was assigned to the USS Kitty Hawk after she finished her repairs, after that she went on relief missions to the Cardassians but after as time, she tired of this, helping her former enemies who seemed almost ungrateful for her work so she requested a transfer to another ship, her request was approached and she was sent to the USS Courageous before she left Federation space on a four year exploration mission beyond Cardassian space. She returned in 2381 to find the Federation undergoing some major changes as well as being under siege from her old nemesis, the Borg so she was transferred to the USS Shadow of Intent and the ship was assigned to protect Berengaria VII during the Borg Invasion, the attack by four cubes failed as the small Federation task force had been able to repel the attack with use of transphasic warheads as well as two tri-phasic quantum warheads, both of which shattered a Borg Cube a-piece She survived the Borg Onslaught unscathed but she spent almost the entire invasion seething with rage as she longed to go hunting for Borg ships, watching as planet after planet was glassed, billions were slain and all the while, her anger grew before she heard that the Borg attack had been halted by a brave few at the final confrontation near Axion. For the next few years, the USS Shadow of Intent and her assignment afterwards the USS All Under Heaven carried out relief missions to Federation bases and worlds, damaged by the Borg with their attacks but she was surprised when she was selected to join the USS Magellan for the first exploration assignment since the Borg attack, every single Federation starship had been recalled to assist with relief assignments. The assignment was rewarding and now since the Borg threat was officially listed as over, she turned her attention back to her original goal she had set for herself some sixty years previously, upgrading the Federation's technology. To that end, she requested assignment to a Battleship or a Dreadnought, to her surprise she was offered a posting aboard the USS New Hampshire, one she accepted, also she recently had heard that a couple of other Draenei had also joined Starfleet in the last several years. The news came as something of a surprise but it was a welcome one. Her assignment to the USS New Hampshire was only a couple of weeks as it was due to a computer error, her orders were misfiled by an incompetent clerk on Starbase 400 but afterwards she was assigned instead to the USS Shadow What was more welcome was her reunion with her daughter while waiting for the New Hampshire to undergo maintenance, the Shadow was badly mauled during a fight with several pirate vessels, the Shadow destroyed her opposition. She had not seen Telios or any of her other family in several decades and needless to say, she had missed them. Due to the battle damage the Shadow had sustained, she decided to depart and go to another command rather then spend three months waiting for repairs to be carried out, she found herself being reassigned to the USS Roanoke to work on her computer and science systems. Upon reporting aboard, she was quickly assigned a commission of Lieutenant Commander and told she was now the Chief of Science. This assignment was jut like any other but the Roanoke would have more then her fair share of thrills and spills for the unwary and the uneducated. Also recently when the USS Dreamcrusher was assigned to protect the Roanoke, she was reunited with her daughter, Commander Telios Wintersnow who had followed her mother into Starfleet service. Also she had regained contact with her people around the same time as Telios informed her that Master Admiral Shellan Wintersnow was looking after things regarding the Draenei's first meeting with the Federation which, Luhanna had quietly contacted her daughter and had asked her to put it off for a few years while the Federation gets some issues sorted out. In late June of 2391, she was present alongside her daughter for the wedding of her friend, Siaxx Dvald as the small Bolian woman got married to Colonel Jillian Sullivan, better known as Phoenix. However, more recently in early July, she was present for the aftermath of the severe beating that Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi sustained at the hands of Ensign Tienn Iteela, this has caused Luhanna's personality top undergo a rather serious phase shift. Luhanna would also find out that Elizabeth was pregnant, this had a dramatic effect in which she had to fight to not lose her way as a result of this, for a Dranaei, someone hitting a pregnant woman for any reason was unthinkable. In the middle of July, 2391. She was promoted from Chief of Science to Colonial Liaison Officer and Chief of Staff for the battlegroup. Its a posting she is going to relish greatly. Since being assigned here, she has assisted with closing out the relief mission to Tarod as well as ensuring Captain Zara Tane's legacy among the outer colonies. In early 2392. Luhanna was reassigned from the Colonial support office to strategic Operations in order to round out her experiences before she went into command full time. So she now wears red instead of white. After the destruction of the USS Roanoke, Wintersnow was offered her choice of assignments and she selected the one she knew would bring back her first love. That of science and she went off to the USS Heart of the Tiger as their new Chief Science officer, her assignment here would be a challenge which would not only challenge her, it would also change her beyond imagination. The next assignment for her was because dependents were not allowed to serve on starships due to protocol two nineteen. This applied mostly to the Taurus Reach area but it was also added to other commands as well. This parted her from Jordal Hunt as she took in his son whom he had with another Dranaei female. She would be assigned to Starbase Vanguard before quickly being promoted to become the assistant chief science officer for the Starbase. |
