Posted on Thu Mar 19th, 2020 @ 5:45am by Division Admiral Talon Yeager & Lieutenant Samantha "Sammy" Yeager & Lieutenant Melody McKnight-Yamaguchi & Post Captain Davijaan "Oddball" Yeager & Department Master Chief Petty Officer Stephen "Orthos" McKnight & Major Daisy Rohr-McKnight

Mission: Mission 100: I'm Going to Ruin Somebody's Day
Location: McKnight Homestead - Utgarde Colony
Timeline: 1845Hrs - July 12th, 2393

Orthos smiled as he regarded the two women before him. "I made a lot of it too, I know Talon loves Italian and after the day everyone has had, I figured why not," he commented

Yeager regarded Orthos. "I heard you two almost got divorced over it."

"I wasn't going to put it like that," Orthos answered evenly. "You can help any time Daisy?"

"No, that was all in Orthos' head. If I was ever to divorce him, he would still have to cook for me." Daisy replied lightheartedly.

Yeager chuckled softly. "But you were affected with that hallucination event?" he inquired of Daisy.

Orthos sighed softly, he had a rather pained look on his face but he opted to say nothing at all.

"No, I wasn't on the station. A lot of other people have also had events. I know of one pregnancy because of it." Daisy added, trying to divert the subject away from Orthos' consternation.

"Oh?" Sammy giggled. "Sounds like it was insane."

Orthos nodded. "It was," he answered evenly.

"That's actually an understatement. One of my marines is in sickbay from concussion damage. Three people in engineering almost drowned, despite a lack of any standing water on the station. If anything Orthos was more resistant to the event than most others." Daisy told them.

Orthos sighed. "I was still a victim of the matter," he responded quietly. "It could have been worse."

Yeager nodded her head. "Yeah, I could have become pregnant with some random guys baby." she sighed softly. "Or you, Daisy." she smiled. "Or you and Melody or all three of us..."

Davijaan raised an eyebrow. "Would we be able to handle all of that insanity?" he inquired.

Orthos turned. "Dinner is ready, guys," he added as if saving his wife and daughter from having to answer Talon's statement.

"Good, I'm starving," Daisy replied to her husband's statement.

Orthos went over to the large countertop where the food was sitting around, waiting to be eaten, to be dished out and enjoyed. He grasped one of the ladies before he began dishing up the food. "Does anyone have any allergies?"

Sammy smiled but she was expecting her adopted mother to say something but there was silence as Orthos nodded. A moment later he handed out plates to everyone that were full of food. "Dig in guys," he commented as he turned to Daisy. "What about the three guys in engineering who almost drowned, what happened there?"

"It was all in their heads," Daisy explained. "They had a collective hallucination that they were on a ship sailing across the Caspian Sea and their boat capsized. None of it was real but they all believed it."

Yeager smiled as she made herself comfortable at the table. "Sounds like what everyone else has been dealing with today," she explained. "I think everyone should be given a day off to process what they endured and suffered through," she added. "I'll mention it to Celeste when I see her."

Orthos sighed inwardly. "I know a few could benefit from the time off."

"Oh? The mighty Orthos admits he might need some time off?" Daisy teased him. "This must have been a severe attack indeed."

"Considering my wife wanted to divorce me and she said it all in Klingon, no less," Orthos answered. "Then she denies it ever happened."

Davijaan listened and watched in amusement as he ate his food in silence.

"Well, you are lucky to be married to her," Daisy replied, trying to suppress a giggle.

Yeager giggled. "It could have been worse. You could have hallucinated actually divorcing her and ending up in bed with me," she commented. "Then Davijaan walks in on you hanging ten with me," she added

Davijaan didn't rise to her bait as he finished the mouthful of food he had been eating before he smiled, he continued eating as Sammy added. "Or you could have bedded me," she responded. "Then bed mom when you finished with me. Or bed me after you finished with mom."

"That's just creepy," Melody commented, her first words for the first time in over ten minutes.

"So she speaks?" Daisy chipped in, between mouthfuls of food. "So what happened to you during the incident, Melody?"

"Mom and I got into a fight," she responded lightly. "I came to see dad about it but I ended up seeing you," she added.

"At least you didn't end up in sickbay with a concussion or sea water in your lungs," Daisy told Melody warmly.

"Yeah." Melody indicated her mother as they spoke. "Plus we did resolve the issue."

"You did?" Orthos inquired in a gentle tone. "Good," he added before he grinned. "Very good."

Davijaan regarded Talon. "This didn't affect us on the Shinano, did it?"

"No," Yeager answered her husband. "I did look into the matter, Syal was a big help to me on the matter," she added.

"Okay." he paused. "Well Orthos, it looks like I get lucky and you didn't."

"It could be worse.." Orthos shrugged.

Daisy nodded in agreement. "Considering what happened on a rusting hulk of a ship we were assigned to before, oh yeah. Things could have been a lot worse."

Yeager giggled. "Torilla told me stories of that ship at length." she paused. "Her children too. But I think it was Jake who had the most productive things to say on the topic." as she grinned at her husband. "His clean-up job was worse than the job you did with that idiot when you got the Miranda."

"Ouch." Davijaan winced.

"Yes, I'm always amazed at the junk Star Fleet keeps operational," Daisy added.

Yeager regarded the Klingon looking female. "The Miranda is actually a Renown-class of battlecruisers, not one of those ancient little toys," he explained patiently as he was clearly not amused with her statement.

Talon raised an eyebrow. "Davijaan, aren't you wanting your own command back?"

"I'm not opposed to it but I've not been offered one since I became your Chief of staff," he responded. "Besides, my time is spent with the kids, they like having both parents present."

"Family is important," Daisy replied, looking not Davijaan but instead at Orthos.

Orthos meanwhile was busy eating a mouthful of food, he did not like talking with his mouth full, it was showing too.

"Family is important," Yeager answered. "I've commanded ships in the field, I have the rank and grade to show for it. Now I want to raise the kids for a time before I head back into the field," he commented. "What of you? Daisy..."

"Well, that's why I'm glad I was assigned here. We can raise our children and still have our careers." Daisy told Yeager.

"Much like Talon and myself, being assigned to the Valhalla," Yeager explained. "That ship is downright huge."

"Well, Starfleet is building newer and larger ships as time goes by, I remember when the Galaxy first came out, they were the largest yet, now they are tiny compared to these new ships." Orthos explained. "Besides. Starfleet is finaly sorting its issues out and that... Is what we should be glad for."
