Face to Face - Part One

Mission: Mission 95: Through the Looking Glass
Location: Various Locations - Starbase 12
Timeline: 1100Hrs - September 7th, 2392

Commander Siaxx Dvald was wearing command red with her uniform fit for inspection, she looked up at newly-promoted Captain Marcus Duval who would be taking command of the USS Oathsworn, a newly commissioned Guardian-class battleship of the line. "So, how does she look to you?" Duval inquired of the smaller Bolian woman before him.

"Manticore is in good hands... Besides, congratulations Captain." Duval regarded Siaxx. "She's a fine ship with a hell of a crew, she'll never let you down."

"I know sir. I read about Manticore while I was planetside with the Tranquility. Do you think they'll build another?" Dvald asked the small Bolian female let out a sigh.

"I hope so. She proved her worth."

Just then the Com system beeped. "Siaxx. Oh, See'Yax!" came the taunting of someone who sounded like herself. "I got something for yee. Come down to Cargo Bay Twenty Four on the base, come alone and dressed to impress.."

Siaxx paused, she frowned as she looked up at Duval who looked down at her. "What the fuck was that?" he asked.

"I have no idea but that had better not have been my twin sister, Rhaenys, screwing with me." Siaxx paused. "But I'm as curious as the next Bolian," she answered. "Have security meet me there and contact Dreamcrusher. Inform them that we have their guy who's on the run skulking about in the starbase cargo holds." and with that, she stepped into the lift. Lieutenant Tyla Shrikewing beside her.

Dvald regarded the much taller female beside her, she was easy on the eyes as Siaxx realized that she could spend hours staring at this woman's features. "You're not going to yell at me for going in harm's way... are you El Tee?" Siaxx inquired.

"No," Shrikewing responded. "So long as you aren't stupid about things. Sir," she responded bluntly.

Siaxx nodded. "Of course."

Moments later, the doors opened and out stepped the two women. The rest of the security detail was outside Cargo bay twenty. "All other entrances are covered and there is a transport inhibitor in place. There is no way out except through us skipper."

"Excellent. Open the door and let me through." Dvald commented. The security officer nodded and Siaxx went into the darkened cargo bay, she stepped slowly as a soft peel of laughter could be heard throughout the room. "So predictable." came the voice.

"Who are you?" Siaxx inquired.

"Aunt Siaxx!" a small child shouted. "Over.. here." came the voice of Saki Yamaguchi who was lying on the ground nearby. "I thought she.. was you," Saki complained.

Siaxx realized the trap for what it was and she also realized that this was most certainly not Rhaenys playing games with her twin, no. This was another version of Siaxx herself. That's when Siaxx realized that she had walked into a trap, one that was simple and yet, just as deadly as a quantum missile going off next to her.

Meanwhile outside. The security detail was watching and waiting as Lieutenant T'Lee Duval came down the hallway with a dozen of her own guys, a small being covered in fur, a marine Colonel was with her followed by an engineer wearing the rank of warrant officer and had a worried look on her face.

Shrikewing turned to greet the new arrivals. "We have the runner.. whoever this person is, trapped inside. She has one child with her and Commander Dvald has already gone in to deal with this situation." she turned to the Colonel and the small being. "What can I do for you two?"
Shrikewing paused as she smiled. "It's good to see you again Teval."

His response was cut off with the sudden sounds of two angry women yelling at each other. Siaxx Dvald meanwhile was busy tending to Saki Yamaguchi, the gently slipped the small child a knife. "Slip out of those bonds and I'll draw her away from you. Just be ready to go out the door when I give the signal." Siaxx said to Saki who nodded in silence before the small child reversed the grip expertly on her blade before she began shearing through the bonds quietly.

Siaxx meanwhile began looking around. "Show yourself. These theatrics are tiresome!" she complained.

Nighthawk chuckled softly from the shadows. "You are weak. Like them." the other Bolian responded.

"Oh really," Siaxx answered. "You are boring me, woman. Show yourself already. You wanted my attention so now you have it. If you have hurt your hostage. I suspect her mother will make your eyeballs pop out of your skull."

Outside in the hallway, "What's going on here," Teval asked.

Shrikewing paused. "Commander Dvald has gone in to deal with the intruder, the trouble is that there is a young civilian in the room."

Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen regarded Teval. "Yeah. Saki is the civilian in question." as she pulled off her toolkit and went over to the panel nearby, with a yanked the panel came off. "Well, we'll see how this goes," she muttered to herself more than anyone else. Yamaguchi-Cullen nodded. "Let's see... Okay, she's fried the lights. So... You wanna play games.. okay." and with that. Rachael went to work as she proceeded to lock down the entire cargo bay as the other entrance slammed shut. "Alright, the main door is unlocked."

Teval nodded to himself. "Alright, I'll go in quietly then. Rest of you, stand fast for now."

The kurokuri captain then quietly moved in the room, since his small size and light footsteps gave him a naturally stealthy ability. So his entrance into the room went unnoticed to Siaxx, Nighthawk, and Saki.

Meanwhile, Siaxx knelt down next to Saki. "How many times must I tell you, never trust anyone," she commented softly as she reached down to Saki.

"Siaxx. Look out!" Saki screamed. Siaxx swung her fist which connected with her duplicates face, blue blood spurting from the woman's face as she went for Siaxx. "Come here you fucking freak!" Nighthawk snarled at Siaxx, who smiled back at her. "I'm gonna tear out your intestines and wear them like a necklace!" she snarled back at the two women began to fight each other.

Teval took careful aim with his weapon and fired, stunning both Siaxx and Nighthawk.

Saki meanwhile quickly slipped her bonds, before she moved over to the two Bolian females. "They look identical.." she commented. "Which one is.. which?" she paused as she regarded them, she noted that one of them looked slightly larger than the other, also she had a larger chest then the other. "Oh right. That's Siaxx." she indicated the second Bolian female. "So... Who's this?" she indicated Nighthawk.

Shrikewing and her security stormed the cargo bay, they moved in and secured the room quickly. Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen followed in silence, her toolkits and the like, she went over to her daughter who seemed unharmed. "Hey mom." as mother and daughter hugged. "You okay?" Rachael inquired.

"She didn't harm me if that's what you were wondering," Saki commented. "The one with the smashed up face is the alternate Siaxx. This is our Siaxx.."

Rachael paused as she regarded the two women. "I see why you went with her. I can't tell them apart and I know her better than anyone..." she paused. "Alright."

Teval turned to the security team,"Alright first, take them both to the starbase hospital."

"Right away." the security officers responded as they carried out Teval's instructions, moments later the two women were gone as Rachael regarded her daughter. "Come on. I'm taking you too to get looked at."

"Yes mom," Saki answered with a nod, as she generally did not argue with her mother or major authority figures anymore.

Teval then tapped his combadge. "Captain Teval to Commodore Andrew Whiteshadow, We have another doppelganger for you, heading to the main hospital."

"Sounds good Teval. I'll meet with the duplicate there. Whiteshadow out." as Rachael nodded. "Come on you." she addressed Saki who followed her mother out the door, the two of them heading for the main hospital.
