Mission: Mission 91: The Sum of All Fears
Location: ACSF Noble - High Orbit over B Kayor.
Timeline: 1300Hrs, August 15th, 2392

The appointed time had come and so had the Yamaguchi's had reassembled in the medical bay where Anzan had his paperwork. "We're all here Doctor," Plataea commented as she gently helped Torilla sit down on the bed.

Anzan decided to begin with Torilla. "Alright Torilla, as the only pure Halanian, you carry the worst of the genetic defects. Genetic Predisposition to Breast Cancer and skin cancer, the THD, and you're also a carrier for Azoospermia. However since you are in an artificial body, only the THD has any consequence."

Plataea gently rubbed the other woman's shoulders. "See. We'll get you fixed up in no time and you'll be right as rain soon." she smiled as she truly believed it.

The other Yamaguchi's watched in silence, all of them were being uneasy. All the children and grandchildren were uneasy too.

Anzan then moved on to Gabriel, "Alright Gabriel, aside from the two issues I told you about earlier, There are no other issues with you, however, you are a potential carrier for some of these conditions, so your children need to be screened."

Savannah nodded as Gabriel smiled. "Sounds good Doctor." as Savannah picked up her two infants. "Come on Gideon. Let's go over there so Mommy can get you guys looked at. I promise it'll be okay. you guys have been really well behaved today.." as the four moved off over towards Kasana who was waiting nearby.

Gabriel meanwhile had a wide smile on his face, he was determined to face this bravely for his mother and family. Even if it killed him.

Anzan decided to get the worst cases out of the way, and the next worst case was Rachael. "Rachael, you have Melanoma, type 2. you also have eye degradation and a genetic predisposition for breast cancer."

Rachel's eyes went wide as her case of fear morphed into outright terror. "Oh God," she whispered. "I have cancer.." right as she burst into tears, right there as Saki tried to comfort her mother. "It's okay mom."

Rachael was turned everyone else out as she gave into her own terror. "Noo!."

"These are all fully treatable," Anzan affirmed, "I am going to ask the Federation Starfleet if they can reassign you to the Federation detachment that is being established on this ship, to make the process easier."

Plataea gently tried to comfort Rachael as she gently rubbed the smaller woman's shoulders. "It's alright sweetie, we know about it and we're gonna get this sorted out and healed."

Rachael blinked as she sighed, she then wiped her eyes. "Mmmm.."

Anzan, unfortunately, had to drop the news regarding saki. "Unfortunately, Saki is also not in the clear. she has a predisposition for cancer as well. So as a precautionary measure I want to remove all the moles on her body, as they are benign for now, but they could develop. She is also developing the same eye issue as her mother, and she has positive genes for THD, and as such has a high chance of developing it later in life."

Saki blinked. "What?" she paused. "Wait... I have mom's issues too?" the child paused as Elizabeth gently picked up her niece as she gently tried to comfort Saki while watching her sibling have a meltdown.

Rachael paused. "What of my babies?"

"They got lucky," Anzan answered, "They are clear of these genetic conditions, however, they are possible carriers, but since they are still in the early fetal stage, genetic therapy is very easy."

Rachael had stopped crying as she felt more numb now than anything else but she came back to herself, a frown appeared on her face. "Wait.. they?" she paused. "Oh..."

Elizabeth smiled. "You got twins. Nice!" she responded as she gently held Saki in her arms. "See Saki, you wanted siblings, you're gonna get them."

Anzan hesitated, wondering how much more abuse this family could take. Fortunately, everyone else's cases were less severe than Rachael's or Torilla's.

Plataea noticed Anzan hesitating. "Go on Doctor. It can't be that bad... can it?" as she gently hauled Rachael into her lap, she gently held the smaller woman like she would a child. "It's gonna be okay Rachael." as she gently held the other woman close to her.

Anzan sighed then moved on, "Alright, Elizabeth, You don't have any issues manifesting yet, but you do have a genetic predisposition for cancer and THD. You have a higher than normal chance of contracting cancer, and as for THD, again if it cannot be removed from your genes, Age reversal treatments can keep it from manifesting."

"So I'm in a similar situation to my mother. Just thirty years behind her." Elizabeth explained. "Alright then." she paused. "What of my baby?" she inquired.

"Positive for Azoospermia, clear on everything else, but maybe a potential carrier."

"I understand," Elizabeth responded. "Whats the treatment?" she inquired.

"Same as everyone else," Anzan answered.

"Alright then," Plataea responded. "Let's all go eat lunch then," she commented softly. "I'll let you guys contact Kameron and Ennis. They will need to be told about this, " she explained. "Torilla will be fine, these guys will take good care of your mom."

Gabriel nodded. "Alright, Well guys and gals. Now we know where the issues so let's go deal with them. Together, as a family."

"You all heard the man," Plataea responded with a grin. "We're not beaten yet and everything will be fine."
