Mission: Mission 100: I'm Going to Ruin Somebody's Day
Location: McKnight Homestead - Utgarde Colony
Timeline: 1830Hrs - July 12th, 2393

Lieutenant Melody McKnight-Yamaguchi regarded Daisy and her father, both in silence as she was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a light grey sweatshirt, a pair of sneakers finished the casual look and she looked as far as one could get from a Starfleet uniform while looking like she was wearing something nice. "Well guys, what can I say... Maybe mom was telling the truth. Maybe what I experienced was a hallucination. I can't tell them apart." the incident in question had been several hours earlier, now she was angry and it showed.

Orthos regarded his daughter for a moment. "Melody," he said quietly. "Let's go step outside before Talon gets here," he said it in a quiet tone of voice. "The kids don't need to know there is a dispute here."

Melody regarded him. "There is no dispute here dad."

"Melody, you know better than to lie to me like that," Orthos answered quietly. "I know how you think, I know you as well as you know yourself. Let's step outside," he added right as the doorbell beeped at the gathering, demanding their attention.

Orthos sighed softly. "Bollocks!" he hissed quietly.

Melody turned and went outside onto the outside patio as Orthos followed his daughter outside.

Daisy smiled at Melody. "listen to your father. He is wise and he loves you."

Meanwhile, standing at the front door, stood Talon Yeager and Davijaan Yeager. He held a large cake in his hands while Talon carried the other half of the desert. "You think Daisy and Orthos will mind?" Davijaan inquired of his spouse.

"It's not them I'm worried about," Talon answered in a quiet tone. "It's Melody. I'm waiting for her to start shit with me."

"You're expecting trouble." Yeager knew better than most about the complicated and complex relationship that Talon had with Orthos, also it was not something that Yeager needed to worry about, he trusted his spouse, otherwise, he would never have married her. Yeager regarded his spouse in silence while he nodded his head, the door opened a moment later and before them stood a female who was half Klingon in looks.
"Hey, are we late?" Talon inquired.

"No, you're just in time. Come on in." Daisy replied warmly.

Yeager regarded the handsome female before him in silence. He followed his spouse into the home in question, this was his first time meeting Daisy and her family even though Talon had told him much about them. He slipped off his boots next to the door, the same as Talon did before he followed her into the main living area. Melody and Orthos were outside and were clearly in the middle of a conversation.

Talon let out a soft sigh. "This is gonna be interesting." she paused. "So, other than the fallout from today, how have you been otherwise Daisy... Did you and Orthos get your issue resolved?"

"Yes, we did. We're doing well, thanks." Daisy told Talon. "Make yourselves comfortable. Do you need any refreshments?"

"No, I'm good," Talon answered evenly as Yeager nodded. "Sure, could I get a glass of water, please?" he inquired of the handsome woman before him.
"What's all that about.?" he inquired while he looked over at Orthos and Melody.

Daisy chimed in. "Oh, there was a little misunderstanding. Melody is relaxing outside for now."

Talon knew better but she opted to not say anything on the matter, she let out a soft sigh. "It's because of today."

Yeager looked confused as he gently placed the cake onto the nearby countertop. He suddenly realized what Talon was speaking about. "But you didn't say anything to her." he protested.

"It doesn't matter Davijaan," Talon answered in a quiet tone. "What matters is what Melody remembers and she said I yelled at her. I have to accept this whether I like it, or not." the older female explained. "I still have to answer for what I said and did."

"You shouldn't apologize for Melody's hallucination," Daisy told Talon. "It all took place in her head. You had no control over anything."

Talon regarded Daisy. "I know my daughter well. She will want to discuss things with me and I intend to let her have her say," she explained evenly. "Hopefully, we can keep it civil."

"Orthos also shares your opinion." Daisy sighed. "Let me know when you're ready to handle her."

Talon nodded. "I'll give Orthos a little more time to calm her. There is no need to anger her just yet." she sighed softly.

Davijaan smiled. "I wish we could have met under better circumstances, Daisy. I have heard a great deal about you," he added as he received the glass of water. "Mmm, cheers."

Daisy smiled at Yeager. "You're too kind, Captain. I also think these are pleasant circumstances. So far, Melody has behaved."

Davijaan regarded Daisy before he shifted his attention over towards Melody, who was standing outside, in an argument with Orthos. He sipped his drink in silence for a moment. "Melody is not subtle and she's only biding her time. Notice her arms?"

Talon noted how her daughter was standing. "Yeah. I give it ten minutes."

Davijaan smiled. "This dance is going to get educational. For me, that is."

"Melody is Melody. If you expect people to rise above themselves you're going to be disappointed." Daisy stated.

Talon raised an eyebrow. "Maybe she will surprise us," she commented. "Do you need a hand with dinner?" she inquired of the larger female before her.

"Orthos is the one who cooked dinner. I'm actually helping him." Daisy admitted. "And I hope you're right about Melody. She is a good person and a solid officer. I'm not sure why she spins out of control."

Talon opened her mouth when she heard the door opened and in came Orthos. He greeted Talon with a gentle smile on his lips. "Hey, guys. What's going on?" he inquired of the three people in front of him. "Talon, you wanna talk to her now or do you want to wait?" he regarded her.

Talon paused. "No. I'll talk to her now."

"Alright, she is ready for you," Orthos responded in a gentle tone. "She wants to talk to you. I asked her to be civil."

"Okay. Thank you Orthos."

"Good luck, Talon." She told her.

Talon nodded. "Thanks." and with that, she turned and went outside, she closed the door behind her as Orthos turned to Davijaan. "Its good to see you again Dav." Orthos greeted his old friend with a wide grin as the two men shook hands before they embraced. "You too Orthos. Its been a long time." Davijaan answered.

"Aye old buddy, it has. I assume you heard about today's events?" Orthos asked.

"I did. Talon is not expecting her chat with Melody to go well. We should keep an eye on it, just in case." he explained.

Orthos nodded. "Yeah, Davijaan Yeager, meet Daisy Rohr-McKnight." he did the introductions. "Daisy, this is Captain Davijaan Yeager. More commonly known as 'Oddball.'

"That's an interesting nickname. How did you earn that?" Daisy asked.

"I used to be a starfighter pilot," Yeager answered with a smile. "But that was before Sammy came along and I had to go legit. I didn't wish to leave her as an orphan should something happens to me." he let out a gentle sigh. "Considering her mother had been murdered less than a month after she had given birth to Sammy. So, yeah. I needed to sort things out and quickly too."

Daisy nodded. "Okay, you were a pilot. That makes sense. How did you get together with Talon?"

Yeager regarded Daisy. "I ended up with her because he ended up with you." he indicated Orthos as he spoke. "Talon and I had been friends for a long time, I wanted her as my exec when I was commanding the Miranda-B but she wasn't available." he sighed. "After her divorce from Admiral Hunt. I was able to help her clean things up, I also spent more time with her children then she did."

Daisy raised her eyebrows at Yeager's reply. "You're a good man for looking after the children."

"Hunt was cruel to her. I made sure he knew how I felt." Davijaan answered in a quiet tone.

"Yeah. I had to drag you off of him." Orthos commented quietly. "I thought you were going to kill him," he added quietly. "In hindsight, I should have left you alone to finish matters."

"He hurt the woman I love. The mother of my children." Yeager answered quietly. "I was going to kill him, had you not stopped me," he added quietly. "I wanted his blood for his crimes... Considering he had abandoned his children to be raised by their mother, he didn't care what he did so long as he got his way, so his kids became my kids, as far as they are concerned, they are my blood and that, my good people. Is the end of the matter."

"That's very noble of you. Most men consider children of other men a burden." Daisy told him.

"Yeah. I've been asked that actually." Yeager answered quietly. "Oh hey, Yeager, why would you wanna raise another man's kids.?" he answered his own question with a question. "Let me ask you this one Daisy... Would you help raise Marie." he inquired. "Talon's youngest, considering that Orthos is her father."

Orthos didn't react, to him this was clearly old news. However, he didn't say anything.

"Well, of yeah. If Orthos actually needed help doing anything." Daisy joked.

Davijaan smiled as he regarded the large female before him when suddenly the doorbell rang. Orthos turned to Daisy. "Expecting someone.?"

Yeager answered instead. "That might be Sammy. I was wondering if she had gotten lost," he commented.

Daisy moved to answer the door.

Outside, stood a young woman who looked part Klingon who was of a similar size and stature to Daisy herself, only she was smaller and a few years younger. "Hello. Is Captain Yeager's party here?" she inquired with a gentle smile. "Are you Major Daisy Rohr-McKnight?" she added a moment later.

"Yes, and you must be Sammy? Please, come on in." Daisy replied.

"I am, thanks," Sammy answered with a gentle smile as she followed the other woman into her home. Sammy looked around before she noticed the small collection of footwear, so Sammy gently slid off her boots as she smiled. "Hey Dad, I thought you said this place would be easy to find, I lost my way, twice," she commented, her smile losing none of its potency.

Yeager nodded as he regarded his daughter. "Well, you did make it. I take it there is no sign of Monique?."

"No. She didn't even tell me if she was coming or not. But then the Dreamcrusher is in the system and, well, maybe she got busy. You know how much of a workaholic that girl is."

Yeager nodded his head sagely. "I do indeed, she and I are still getting to know each other."

"I think it's cool. I get to have another family member around to pester," she commented.

Yeager nodded. "I know you all too well, Sammy." he turned to Orthos. "Orthos, meet Sammy, my eldest." he turned back. "Sammy, this is Orthos. A very old friend of mine."

Orthos gently took the younger woman's hand. "Hello, Sammy. It's good to meet you."

"You too Orthos. So you introduced Dad to mom?"

"I did, I'm glad I did too," Orthos answered with a gentle smile. "Daisy, meet Sammy. Sammy, this is Daisy.."

Sammy regarded the other female who was much like herself. "Its good to meet you properly Daisy. Do you speak any Klingon?" she inquired.

"Umm...No. Actually, I have little understanding of Klingon language or culture." Daisy admitted.

"Well, that's more than me," Sammy answered in a cheery tone of voice. "I have none and that doesn't bother me at all," she commented evenly. "So, what's for dinner?" she added, a gentle grin on her face. "I wasn't sure if I should bring anything... So I opted not to."

"Spaghetti and baloney," Daisy replied. "I know it sounds odd, Orthos makes it work."

Sammy grinned. "Sounds great," she responded, a gentle smile playing at her lips.
