Location: Inside the HD-385784-2395 Star System
Timeline: 1800Hrs - November 24th. 2391

Commander Javier Morales walked back onto the bridge, PADD in hand as he regarded Torilla Yamaguchi. "This has to be the longest week we've ever done, Nearly constant round the clock shift work has left the various crews tired and on edge, always being alert for various issues and problems.

With the loss of one ship already and the Pinto, Nerves were getting frayed and tensions were starting to heat up. Torilla nodded her head, her eyes were tired and so was the rest of her.

"So... everything set up?"

"Yeah. the Commander has broken down his crew and consolidated them with ours for now. We have another seventy right souls to look after, but we do .... well we did have several sets of empty guest quarters which...I filled."

"Good." Yamaguchi smiled as she accepted the PADD. "The Commander is assisting in Engineering as apparently that's his career path before he was offered a command.

"I'm sure Rachael will appreciate the help.."

"Well... Two Chief's can cause issues, especially when one of them outranks our present Chief Engineer.."

Yamaguchi sighed. "Lovely.." she considered it as she shook her head softly. "I'd go insane... Which at present... is not far from the truth."

"I hear ya."

Meanwhile sitting on the left side of the bridge where the svelte Andorian Shen had been sitting for hours. Lt Commander Sh'Ando tapped the earpiece she was wearing in her right ear. "Come Again Ericson.?" she inquired aloud.

Yamaguchi turned her head. "Trouble..... again?"

"Unknown sir... I got a hail from the Ericson but it cut of midsentence.."

"Where .... Where is she located?"

"Heading One nine eight. mark two three....she was charting elements of the inner asteriod belt for safe transit lanes..."

"Not far from that Brown Dwarf..." McKnight commented. "Its possible that Ericsson might just be having engine trouble."

"And she may be in danger. Helm... Lets go head there again.... Jiao.. Inform the rest of the battlegroup of this development and request assistance."

Bihkami was the first to notice on the Akurian battlecruiser. The raccoon like Kono Kurokuri informed Ryuukei," Hey Ryuukei, I got a garbled message from one of the other federation destroyers, and I have just lost their power signature, their engines have gone dark."

Ryuukei sighed, now thoroughly irritated," Great, now a second ship is having problems today, how many operational drones do we have left."

Bihkami shook her head," We are down to seventeen."

Launch two of them, and send them to Ericsson's last known location," Ryuukei commanded."

Bikhami nodded, and a minute later reported, "Drones are up and on their way."

Ryuukei leaned back in his seat," How long until they get there."

Bihkami checked the clock," About ten minutes, they will get there much sooner than any other ships though."

Meanwhile over on the bridge of the Rawalpindi. Captain L'Ruan peered at the tactical display, this was turning more and more into something from various war zones she had observed while she was enslaved to the Borg Collective. "Captain, the collision of Gas Giant Three and the Brown Dwarf is due in fourteen minutes,.."

"Understood." L'Ruan responded as she turned her head to regard the officer speaking to her. "Sir... The instability in the gravity is preventing us from getting any closer to the star... The radiation levels are also flaring up." he paused. "It has a forty percent chance of overwhelming our shields."

L'Ruan raised an eyebrow. "No way to counter it?"

"Not with the time we have remaining to us Captain.."

"Very well.. Inform the flagship.... and recommend mission abort."
