| General Overview | L'Ruan is a Vulcan except she understands that not everyone will understand the usual bluntness of a emotionless person so she has attempted to cultivate something of an outgoing personality. She is Bisexual and as such finds that she favors women as much as men, if not more so. Also because of her Borg technology she retained after being rescued from the collective, she can use a personal shield to survive in places most would not dare to go. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: She is rather easy to get along with and deal with, providing you don't waste her time. Weaknesses: She feels she is slowly losing her logic in favor of emotions. Considering she is a victim of familial abuse indicates that she has a lot to deal with. |

| Personal History | L'Ruan was born in 2325 as part of a traditional Vulcan household steeped in tradition and history, she alongside her brothers were raised as old school Vulcan's with the emotions their ancestors had, deeply hidden. They were raised in short to be the perfect drones for military service so when the time came to enlist in Starfleet, she did so, along with her brothers. Her time spent among various alien races was at first repugnant as she found them conflicted and divided when compared to her faith in logic. Her parents were extremely rigid in their upbringing, far more so then the Vulcan norm but when the Romulans reappeared on the galactic stage for the first time in decades, it seemed to vindicate the way in which they had raised their children. Her brothers had begun to reject their parents harsh instruction of them before they had his their teen years, but all of them went into Starfleet none the less where they swerved a total of twenty years apeice until they settled down to find mates and create families of their own, once they did so, they left Starfleet service and returned to Vulcan. However L'Ruan entered starfleet and she found here a treasured contentment and respect from her peers that she never got on Vulcan so she remained in Starfleet, she joined in twenty three forty five and graduated the academy on Earth in twenty three forty nine, her first few postings were relatively uneventful but it was her sixth posting which would change her fate forever. She was commanding the USS Kyushu as Captain, her first real command when she was ordered to join the Fleet in the Wolf System, orders were orders and off she went. Not realizing it was to her almost certain doom. She was no match for the Borg cube but then, nobody among the fleet was a match either and one by one the fleet was eradicated while the Borg attempted to stop the fleet from attacking and assimilate as many as they could, the Federation personnel whoever through collective acts of heroism and luck, were able to save a lot of their comrades however many thousands were still killed or missing, assimilated by the Borg, like L'Ruan was. L'Ruan found herself experiencing a whole new world of hell as she found herself trapped inside her own mind, her body was a mindless tool to be used for someone else gain. She was sent along with the others back to the Delta Quadrant that were captured in the Wolf System. She spent the next ten years as a Borg before she would find herself attacking the USS Warrior, an Excelsior class ship which used a derivative of an old style electromagnetic pulse weapon to disable and then capture the Sphere she and sixty others were crewing. Captain Edward Dragon who had recently returned from a thirty year long mission of his own, from being trapped orbiting very close to a black hole, he found himself assisting this Vulcan woman during her period of readjustment. She quickly relized that her time of pon far was almost upon them as he offered to assist her with matters, he did not like it however as he felt he was taking advantage of her, she assured him that this was simply not the case. Nature took their course and so did biology, within weeks L'Ruan found out that she was pregnant and rather then terminate the baby brewing inside of her, she opted to keep the baby as well as remove most of her Borg implants. She took two years away from the fleet to sort her life out, also she requested a grade reduction back to Commander as she felt she needed to relearn how to operate in this new starfleet. Command agreed and off she went to the USS Duke of Edinburgh, an older Excelsior where she relearned a great deal thanks to the Borg implants she kept. It was around this time that she and Edward Dragon got married, they both hated their time apart as he brought out something in her she never expected and she brought out things in him as well. Her service here was uneventful so she transferred off to the Achilles, a Federation Heavy Destroyer, the first of her kind as she came to know this warship very very well, then she found her calling, it was in science and with that she requested transfer to a Luna class vessel with openings, to her surprise, the Toronto needed an Exec so off she went. She remains on the USS Toronto until 2391, with her young son in tow, now she has made her home aboard this ship with her eclectic crew and one could say she was happy here. After the promotion and the transfer of the Highlord to another assignment thanks to the Military Reorganization Act of 2391, she was promoted to Captain and offered command of the Rawalpindi as the USS Toronto did not warrant a Captain as its commanding officer., she accepted and she then requested Franklin Davis as her Exec, since he was wasted in Destroyers or so she felt. |
