Finding the Crew

Mission: Mission 42: A House Divided
Location: Various Locations - Battlecruiser Ryazar's Shield
Timeline: 0100Hrs - September 14th, 2391

Ryuukei yawned as the battlecruiser dropped out of FTL in the Vega system. Weyai was just staring to fight off fatigue, then commented," Well hopefully we don't scare them too much."

Ryuukei nodded but didn't say anything.

Meanwhile on the bridge of the USS Stalingrad. Captain Marie Yamaguchi turned to her first officer. "You rang?"

"You better see this for yourself skipper." Commander Ken Noros indicated the display before them. "This ship just appeared and they are heading towards Vega. They have not hailed us."

"I see... Very well, Yellow Alert... Shields to maximum, stand buy all weapons.... hail them."

Just then the com system beeped. "This is the Trafalgar. We're moving into position to assist you.."

"Copy that Trafalgar... Let them throw the first punch.."

"Confirmed. Reyes out."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "Anything?"

"Nadda." Lieutenant Zheng Jet responded. "I'm still hailing zhem."

Weyai reacted as her console beeped, "Oh, hey, we are being hailed, two federation ships are approaching, um, their shields are up and weapons on standy."

Ryuukei just remembered that he forgot to call ahead and tell them they were coming. He hot a couple commands on his console and opened a comm channel, "This is Command Warrant Officer Ryuueki Akavai of Starfleet R&D, may I help you two."

Marie Yamaguchi let out a soft but long sigh as she recognized the person who was addressing her. "Tell the Trafalgar to stand down... Apparently.. we have friends in... different places.."

"Sir.. they have no shields or weapons powered to speak of."

"Alright... stand down then." Marie sat in her chair, grateful she didn't need to shoot at anyone. "Still... Mister Ryuukei... Tell me something?" she inquired. "How are you in command of... that ship... aren't you supposed to be on Starbase Twelve?"

Just then there was a flash of energy as a third Federation ship appeared from slipstream. "This is Fleet Captain Lee Yamaguchi...did I miss the party?" a third voice inquired in a rather jovial tone.

Ryuukei answered a bit nervously, saying, "Um, yeah, well, its a long story, but we are here to see the Akurian Colony thats present here."

Just then Zuko's face came on the viewscreen, saying, "Did we really scare you guys that bad."

Marie raised an eyebrow. "Well considering its a three kilometer long starship just appears out of nowhere, no explanation given... Yeah." she admitted. "You gave us quite the surprise."

Meanwhile on the bridge of the Tvashtar. Fleet Captain Lee Yamaguchi turned to his Exec. "Remind me to never piss him off."

Autumn Konavalov nodded, her sixty years of life not slowing her down in the least. "It is so noted sir."

Julia Yamaguchi who was sitting over at the communications station on the far left of the bridge simply laughed. "I think she's toying with you."

"Yes.... I do too." Lee responded in a dry tone.

Meanwhile over on the Akurian Battle cruiser. "Were they really gonna fire on us?" Kameron asked.

"Yes." Siaxx answered.

Ryuukei sighed and guided the battlecruiser into orbit. He then said to the various ship captains," Well, anyway, since I know some of you are Yamaguchi's, if you want to talk to Elizabeth, or otherwise just want to poke around, your welcome to come aboard if you like."

Lee Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "I'd welcome the chance to visit with my niece." he rose to his feet. "Autumn.. the usual yadda yadda yadda.." he turned to his wife. "I'll be back soon."

Julia didn't have the same connection he did to Jake's children so she in truth was reluctant to go and visit.

Meanwhile Elizabeth Yamaguchi was lying on her bunk, dozing lightly when Kameron's voice beeped at her. "Hey Elizabeth, you'll never believe what almost happened... we almost ended up at war.... with the Federation fleet."

Elizabeth blinked as she slowly heaved herself out of the bed. "I'm on my way." as she quickly began to dress, before she left out a soft laugh as the absurdity of it was something to behold.

Kurso Teska entered the bridge, saying to Ryuukei," Well of all of us that where Former Akurian Military, your the one with the highest rank, so I think it should be you and me that goes down there to talk to the colonists."

Ryuukei nodded, and Arumi added, "Ill go."

The three of them went to leave the bridge, with ryuukei saying," Teval, you got the ship O.K."

Teval nodded and sat down at one of the command consoles and waited, while Hakaya and Zuko went to greet their guests, whom where beaming into the Adjacent room Weyai told them to beam into.

Siaxx made herself comfortable., "So... now what oh fearless leader.?"

Teval gave a long yawn, then replied, "Well we just wait for Ryuukei and the others to hash things out with the Akurian colonists, other than that, really not much to do right now."

Siaxx stretched out her arms and legs. "Mmm... not been so pampered in quite some time... I get to sit around and no as little as possible." as she gently scratched behind his ears.

Teval started to purr and his eyes got very heavy, "I could really use a nap right now."

Meanwhile, on the planet, Ryuukei and Kurso Teska walked into the Akurian colony. Walking up to the former captain of the colony ship Ryuukei asked," Hey I'm Ryuukei Akavai of the Akurian Military."

The older captain, Hyril Akarin, a Sehkeen Leokuri, whom had been serving as governor of the colony since they had lanced there, looked up at Ryuukei. " Ryuukei Akavai, its been a long time since I have seen you, so does that mean the Akurian Confederation has made it over here."

Ryuukei shook his head," No unfortunately, but they should be here soon. You do remeber the Ryazar's shield though."

Hyril nodded, her long snow leopard like tail stood up, " Yeah I remember, she got pretty beat up."

Ryuukei nodded," Yeah, she did, but we have recovered the battlecruiser and she is in orbit now."

Hyril's ears stood up curiously," Really, what of the crew."

Ryuukei gave a sad sigh," Most of them didn't make it, less than a dozen survived, so I would like to bury the crew here."

Hyril nodded while Ryuukei continued," anyway, we are currently manning her with less than 20 people, and we need to go investigate the wormhole that got us here, as well as doing a few other things, so, I kinda need an Akurian crew for her."

Hyril nodded again," I will see what I can do, but I'll be honest, there are several thousand of us, and I wouldn't surprised if the majority of them wanted to come onboard."

She then stood up, " But first, I'll organize some volunteer's, lets take care of the crew first.
