Mission: Mission 34: Between Two Fires
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1700Hrs - June 23rd, 2391

The Beachfront was called Zlatni Rat Beach, it was located in Croatia, in southeastern Europe and Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi was clad wearing a pair of shorts, they were a dark red in color while he wore nothing else as he was preparing the barbeque for the meal that they would be having later on tonight. He found himself regarding his wife, his eyes lingered over her frame as she regarded him with a smile. "Now Jake... you know I can hear you thinking." Torilla commented as she smiled at her husband.

"Yeah... is it too late to cancel dinner so we can have a private event here on the beach?" Jake came right out with it.

Torilla chuckled softly. "Then there would be issues and trouble later and you forget..."

"Whats that?" Jake inquired of his spouse.

"Sand gets Absolutely everywhere," Torilla answered with a smile.

Jake gently coiled his arms around his wife's torso as she smiled. "It does.." her smile widened.

"So... nothing wrong with sex on the beach." Jake answered.

"There is when sand gets into funny places.." Torilla responded softly before she gently kissed her husband on the lips. "But later... It'll be diverting."

"Just diverting... Torilla, I'm almost offended."

"Thats because you are such an easy target, husband of mine." Torilla answered as she regarded him.

"We have company.." she indicated the three children nearby, Saki was hanging out with her aunt and uncle who were much younger then she herself was. Tressa and Paul were having fun building sandcastles with Saki helping them, she was on a mission to show Torilla that she was a big kid now and not a child as everyone seemed to keep inferring.

Torilla smiled. "Alright. keep those two safe and away from the water.... and no throwing sand at each other... it'll get into your eyes and can blind you."

"Alright Aunt Torilla, you can rely on me." Saki had said and off her granddaughter had gone, off to slay the dragon in its lair as Torilla had kept an eye on her charges, all the same.

The door opened and in came Kameron Yamaguchi, wearing only a pair of shorts, except his were bigger and were colored a deep blue. "Hey guys... are we late?" Elizabeth Yamaguchi inquired as she pulled off her shorts and shirt to reveal that she was wearing a two piece light blue colored bikini which didn't hide much.

Jake smiled. "Nope... you're early. We're still waiting on a couple of people.."

"Ahh... Gabe and the balloon that passes for his wife." Elizabeth commented.

"Now now... you're gonna look like that soon enough Elizabeth," Jake responded to her statement.

Torilla regarded her eldest. "Elizabeth. I raised you better than that. So.. what gives?"

Elizabeth paused. "Mom. it was just a statement."

"Said in malice and cruelty. What's gotten into you?"

Kameron did not see this one coming as he went over to Jake. "So... you need a hand with this?"

"Sure... Let's go over dinner tonight... Let the ladies fight among themselves."

"Elizabeth has been having issues with being sick in the morning, its annoying for her." Kameron explained. "That's why she's in a foul mood."

"That explains much," Jake responded. "I remember Torilla except she didn't have morning sickness."

"What did she have?"

Jake chuckled softly. "She needed to get laid every morning... Hormone problems."

"Sounds painful." Kam regarded Torilla who was regarding her daughter with an acidic glare. "Ladies... Enough," he growled.

Jake raised an eyebrow as both Torilla and Elizabeth turned to regard Kameron who had spoken up. "Torilla... we're having issues adjusting to being sick in the morning. that's all... Elizabeth hasn't started anew conflict with Savannah or anyone else.."

"Yeah... Mom, seriously... I'll be fine once I adjust to being an invalid."

"Being sick in the morning or needing to get laid in the morning?" Torilla inquired

"Both." Elizabeth answered. "I have your issue as well mom. I'm willing to bet that Rachael and Gabriel do as well."

"I never considered that." Torilla admitted.

"Yeah and its a good thing too." Gabriel's voice came across the beach as he approached, his wife by his side as she was busy peeling off her shirt and shorts to reveal a dark green two-piece maternity bathing suit that actually suited her.

"Seriously guys... are you done fighting?" came another voice as Rachael appeared, she was the smallest Yamaguchi but she felt that she was the cutest too.

"Rachael!" Savannah greeted her sister in law with a gentle hug, Rachael gently hugged her back. "Savannah. Its great to see you guys." before she felt her feet leave the ground as her brother picked her up in a great big bear hug. "Rachael," he said.

"Hey Gabe." Rachael felt him put her down again as she reached down and in one smooth motion, she peeled her shirt off to reveal a dark green one piece which actually made her look good.

Saki charged over to her mother as she leaped into her arms. "Mommy!"

Rachael held her daughter close. "Hey Saki... Are you being good?"

"Yes... the twins are behaving and we're making sandcastles."

"Really?" Rachael sounds cheerful on the idea. "How about I come over and help you."

"Yay!" Saki cheered

Rachael looked at Gabe and Savannah. "Where is Gideon?"

"He's being babysat by Doctor Bart Mancuso," Savannah responded.

"Don't they call him the Gargoyle?" Rachael inquired.

"They do. Yes." Gabriel smiled at his sibling's reaction to the statement. "He's not bad, once you get to know him a little.."

Elizabeth added. "He's also highly experienced in pediatric medicine, prenatal and neonatal care. You two couldn't be in better hands in regards to your little one.."

"Its actually little ones... we're expecting twins."

Elizabeth went from happy to overjoyed as she gasped but then she felt her good mood evaporate like a chunk of frozen nitrogen left behind on Vulcan's forge surface area. "Wait... how was this missed?" she asked quietly opf her brother and his spouse.

"You got me... we've been asking ourselves that question... so has Doctor Mancuso.."

"Never wise to fuck with the gargoyle." Elizabeth sighed softly. "Still... its wonderful to see you two again." as she handed them a drink each."

"What do you guys think of the program?" Jake inquired as he came over to where most of his children were gathered, he spotted Rachael moving off to hang out with her daughter and her infant siblings as she quickly knelt down in the sand of this tropical breach, before picking up a bucket.

"Its great.. where is this place?" Kameron inquired.

"Its Zlatni Rat Beach,.... its in Croatia on Earth. Southeastern Europe."

"Oh so this is a real place then?" Elizabeth inquired as Jake opened the barbeque before he smiled. "Yep.... and I can start cooking the food."

"Alright." Elizabeth picked up the plate of burgers. "you gonna start with these?

"Something like that yes.." as he accepted the plate from her and with a delicacy that most never saw, he peeled the burgers and placed them all onto the grill, one at a time.

He smiled in satisfaction as he heard them begin to cook and sizzle, meanwhile Jake lifted the pie flipper as he flipped his burgers, taking his time to make sure they were cooking properly, then he closed the lid. "Alright.. lets see..." as he took quick stock of what he had. "Burgers, sausages, chicken breasts, streaks." he commented as he plucked one of the chips from the large bowl nearby and ate it. "Mmmm... regular." he commented. "Torilla... you didn't make salt and vinegar or anything else?"

"Nope." Torilla answered evenly.

"Well that sucks.." Jake responded with a smile. "and here I was thinking you were going to surprise me."

"I did.." Torilla responded evenly. "You should have heard the people thinking while we were walking down the hallway, as I was wearing this and nothing else."

"You have no modesty... do you mom?" Elizabeth commented.

"Nope." the older woman answered. "Oh the mental images they were creating."

Elizabeth shook her head. "Typical... I tell you... typical."

Rachael meanwhile was lying as the kids were rapidly burying her in sand, Saki looked at her mother. "Keep the sand away from mom's face guys.." as she slowly poured another bucketful of sand over her mothers now buried torso. "Saki... ?" Rachael inquired. "Why are you burying me?"

"Because I can mommy" the eight year old responded. "Its fun."

Rachael regarded her daughter. "and If I asked you to unbury me?" she inquired.

"I want a picture of you buried first." Saki responded.

"Ahh..." Rachael responded as Torilla came over. "Saki?" the larger woman inquired. "What'cha doing?"

"I'm burying mommy... the twins are helping me..." Saki explained.

Rachael regarded her mother. "Its just sand mom." she added. "The twins are tiring...and there they go..." clearly she knew what she was talking about.

Tressa sat down next to Rachael's head. "Hi." she greeted her much older sibling as she wiped Rachael's face clear of sand while Rachael closed her eyes so the young child would work without issue.

"Hey sweetie... why don't you and your brother go hang out with Dad..." Rachael commented with a smile
"I'm sure he'd love it.."

Tressa nodded her head, clearly tired as she picked herself up and off she went slowly, her brother was right behind her as Saki was busy filling what would become her last bucket of sand before pouring it over her mothers legs before she began smoothing off the same. "Can I get a picture?"

"Sure." Torilla produced a camera that she had brought with her for the occasion as she snapped a picture of her granddaughter proudly displaying a mound of sand with Rachael's head poking out and her feet at the other end. "Very nice Saki." Torilla smiled. "Now would you mind unburying your mother so she can join us at the dinner table?"

"Yes grandma Torilla." and with that Saki turned and went to work as she began digging Rachael out, Rachael closed her eyes as she began gently shaking, the sand began falling away and in moments, Rachael pushed her arms out to help Saki.

A minute or so later, Rachael was able to stand as Saki helped her mother up. "You're getting so big Saki." Rachael smiled. "Come on... Lets go eat.."

"Yay!"

Rachael walked beside her daughter as Rachael sighed, while caked in sand. "Go on Saki... I'm going to clean off..." and with that she moved towards the water before she felt the first splashes of the waves roll around her feet and legs before she dove in to wash the sand off.

She surfaced before putting her feet down then she emerged from the surf, wishing for a moment that Ennis could be here but she would make sure that the next family event, he would be participating in as she went over to join her family at the dinner table, she took a moment to adjust her suit as she walked.

Jake regarded his middle child as she approached. "What will ya have?"

"I'll have something of everything Dad." Rachael smiled as Jake selected the items for her while she sat down at the large picnic table before Jake handed her the plate of food he had prepared for her as she took a moment to regard her family who were all together again.
