Dreamcrusher to the Rescue

Mission: Mission 30: All Thats Left
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0800Hrs - March 22nd, 2391

Zuko looked up at Luhanna, whom was back at the Science console with Torilla. "So you got those shield ready."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow as she looked at the officer who was more massive then she was, a thought ran through her mind of 'He's gonna eat me!' before she brought her momentary feeling of panic under control.

Wintersnow, turned in her seat. "Indeed sir..." she responded as she regarded Yamaguchi. "Are you alright sir?"

Yamaguchi regarded the massive feliniod before she turned back to Wintersnow. "I'll live..."

Zuko noticed that Torilla was uneasy, prompting him to ask," whats wrong."

Yamaguchi paused. "Uhh nothing... I'm fine.." she responded. "Its okay.." she answered. "I'm not used to serving with a .... being such as yourself... "

Zuko didn't really get it, so he simply asked Luhanna, "So are we about ready."

Wintersnow responded. "I'm bringing your shield modifications online." the Draenei responded. "I've beefed them up by a factor of six."

Zuko nodded, then said, "Alright, lets do it." He then walked over to his helmsman, saying, "Take us in."

Tasha hit several commands on the console and brought the ship smoothly into the anomaly. The ship rocked somewhat as it wen through, but it only lasted for 30 seconds before an entire solar system appeared in front of them."

"Any damage," Zuko asked.

Commander Kevin Mitchell looked at his console, "No we're good, no damage reports."

He then turned to Luhanna, "Which planet are they on."

"The fifth planet.... the largest moon orbiting that class J gas giant." the Draenei explained. "I'm tracking over a dozen lifesigns..." she paused. "Sir... I recommend we take a runabout down to the planet.... "

Yamaguchi commented. "I'd like to fly it."

Zuko nodded, "Alright, but we will probably need to salvage some of the downed birds, so I am sending several runabouts down to recover them."

"Sounds good." Yamaguchi responded. "In any case... I have a reunion with my daughter and I need to meet my granddaughter.." she paused as she mentally reached out to Rachael, down on the planet surface. 'Rachael... can you hear me?' she called.

Rachael Yamaguchi who was speaking with Siaxx, suddenly lifted her head to the stars. "Mom?" she whispered. 'Mom!!' Rachael called out to her mother with a need all its own. 'We're here!'

Torilla Yamaguchi smiled as she felt the touch of her daughters mind against hers. "I've found them." as she tapped in a set of coordinates. "Right there."

Teval walked over to Rachael, saying, "What is it."

Rachael opened her mouth to say something but she found she couldn't, she paused to regain control of her emotions. "Gather everyone up... We're going home.." she smiled. "Our rescue team has arrived."

Siaxx looked up as she could see a small star that seemed to be moving. "Look.. its them!"

Meanwhile, Torilla watched the sensors as the Dreamcrusher, so like her husbands ship in so many ways and yet, so unlike her as well. "Captain. Mind if I go bring our people home?" she asked Zuko

Zuko nodded his head, as he had decided to remain on the bridge until they got back.

Torilla went over to the turbolift and she was gone. "Main Hanger Bay," Torilla said aloud. 'Rachael, I am coming for you. How is everyone?'

'We're all fine mom... We did lose one person though... Saki Kishimoto.' Rachael's response came back, Torilla could feel that her daughter was far stronger then she had been before. 'We have a lot to talk about.'

'Yeah mom... that we do.' Rachael replied, Torilla could almost see her daughter weep for joy. 'I have someone you must meet and... I have two little bundles of joy who must meet their mother.'

The door opened as Torilla stepped forward, walking into the hanger, finding it a bustling hive of activity.

She went over to one of the deck crew. "Who do I see for a Runabout for a rescue mission?"

The lieutenant in charge of the deck pointed out four runabouts that were ready to take off, "Pick one ma'am, these four are ready to go."

"Thank you El Tee." Yamaguchi responded evenly before she turned and went over towards the runabouts which were assembled nearby, she quickly selected the one she wanted.

She went aboard and sat down in the pilots chair. "Bridge, you read me?"

Wintersnows voice came back. "Loud and Clear Commander."

"Stand by." she paused. "Control Tower this is Runabout.." she paused while she got the name. "Zed-Fifteen..." she commented. "one soul aboard, requesting permission to launch?"

"This is control tower you are cleared to launch, your third in line after seven and twelve."

"Understood." Yamaguchi closed the airlock door and she powered up the Runabouts systems as she watched Zed Seven power up and depart the hanger while Zed-Twelve finished its power-up sequence, she mentally reached out to her daughter. 'Rachael?' ask she asked, she felt someone else there as well but only for a moment.

'Yeah mom?' came the response.

'Who was that... I felt someone else..'

'Oh... that was Saki... you'll meet her soon enough mom...'

The second runabout cleared the hangar bay, and a voice came over the comm," You are cleared to go."

"On my way out the door." Yamaguchi responded and with that, she departed the Dreamcrusher's hanger bay.

Yamaguchi did a quick scan as she located the lifesigns she was looking for, but she noticed more lifesigns then what she was expecting.

Teval watched as several runabouts appeared in the sky, with one setting right down in front of him. Rachael stood beside him, with Hakaya on the other side, and their five kids behind them.

Torilla Yamaguchi secured the runabout before she tapped the hatch release, she then rose to her feet as she walked out the door and into the air. "Hey guys..." she greeted the people gathered. "Teval...Hakaya.." she greeted the two Kurokuri that she remembered. "We figured out how to get in here so we could rescue you. We were trying with small ships... not realizing we needed a larger ship.." she explained. "Is this everyone?"

Boomer emerged from the treeline with Kameron Yamaguchi, behind him. "Well.. this is new.... is that Torilla Yamaguchi?"

Yamaguchi nodded. "Yep. I see my mother in law came to save us.." he commented as the two men went over to the Runabout.

Torilla regarded Kameron. "Elizabeth will be so happy to see you alive and well."

Kameron came over to his mother in law, as if not believing that she was indeed real. "Torilla?" he whispered.

"I'm here son." before she gave him a big hug. "I'm here and we're all going home.."

Kameron wrapped his arms around his mother in laws torso as he hugged her back. "You have no idea..."

"Oh but I do." Yamaguchi responded. "Help me round up the others..." she turned and her youngest daughter was there, in front of her as she leapt into her mothers arms. "Mom!"

Torilla gently held her daughter in her arms. "Rachael... Thank god your alright," she said softly, as if not believing that Rachael was actually real and that she was now only several inches shorter then her mother rather then being over a foot shorter then she used to be.

Boomer watched the mother and daughter reunion, a rare smile on his face as he was truly happy for them, he had been here for two years and while he had not enjoyed his stay, it had brought some things into clarity for him.

Meanwhile Siaxx arrived, with Phoenix right behind her, both women had one of the twins with them each. "Well.. I guess it is true.." Siaxx commented. "Here... Its best you take Paul and Tressa to meet their mom..." she paused. "I need to pack up Greywolf's things..."

"We'll be here if you need us," Phoenix consoled as she took her little counterpart in her arms.

Siaxx turned and went into the cave as she mentally took inventory of what she would need, she was in the middle of it when she felt a presence behind her, she turned to find herself face to chest with her old friend. "Siaxx... so this is where you're hiding... Phoenix said I'd find you here."

"Torilla.." Siaxx almost hesitantly gave her old friend a hug. "I didn't think-"

"That I'd forgiven you for what was said and done... Siaxx, you have always worried too much... and you were always too hard on yourself..." she responded. "There is nothing to forgive... and I came to help you pack." Yamaguchi tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Yamaguchi, Rachael beam those crates over please?"

"Willdo mom." and with that, a half dozen crates appeared before both women.

"I have... two bodies I want to bring back with us... I gave my friend my word."

"Okay." Yamaguchi responded. "While we're doing it.... tell me about him?... Greywolf I mean... what was he like?"

Siaxx slowly smiled before launching into her explanation.

Meanwhile Boomer was sitting in the pilots chair of the Runabout as a second runabout touched down nearby. "Alright, Teval... is everyone aboard minus Siaxx, Phoenix, Rachael and her mom?" he inquired of the Kurokuri who was seated nearby.

Teval nodded, but didn't really say anything, as everyone got onboard.

Boomer nodded. "Alright." as he looked at Saki Yamaguchi. "Where you off to?"

"I want to see the sky and the stars... Kameron will look after me."

Kameron for his credit looked amused. "Indeed. Well come on then Saki... let's get going..."

The eight-year-old followed the others onto the runabout. She instantly walked into the back as the door was secured behind her, before Boomer initiated the take-off sequence.

Teval didn't say much as the Runabout left the planet, at least, until he saw the Dreamcrusher, prompting him to say, "What captain is crazy enough to bring their entire starship into this anomaly."

Boomer who was seated at the control. "I have no idea.... but thats not the Song of the East..." he paused. "U.S.S. Dreamcrusher..." he read the name on her forward hull. "Never heard of her.." he admitted before tapping the display. "Dreamcrusher, flight control. This is Runabout... Zed Fifteen... requesting priority clearance...we have evacuees from the planet aboard.."

"Decks yours, come on down.." the response was quick. "Also Captain Zuko will be waiting for you in the main hanger, he has medical personnel with him."

Teval wasn't quite prepared when he first saw Zuko, and Zuko looked just as surprised to see Teval and Hakaya. Aerin, noticing Teval's look, said, "Oh, I guess you don't remember, but yeah, that's what an Ankuri looks like."

"He is even bigger than Varkon," Teval replied flatly.

"Velkuri are even larger."

Teval didn't reply as Zuko approached, saying, "You know, I've only seen a Kurokuri once before and it was a long time ago. And I'd never figured I'd see another Akurian again, let alone a species as rare as yours."

Boomer meanwhile looked into the eyes of a rather breathtakingly lovely Andorian Shen with a skin tone that was just a lovely shade of blue. "We want... to take a look... yes a look at you guys."

Kameron Yamaguchi tried not to laugh as he was also dealing with a couple of medical officers who was checking him over, while a young male who looked to be about twelve years old was looking at Saki Yamaguchi. "You are in good health young lady... but you are lacking in nutrition..." he paused. "I'll inform your parents about that fact." he turned to Kameron before indicating Boomer. "Is that your father?"

"I have no father.," Saki admitted. "My mother is down on the planet surface alongside my grandmother and two aunts." she paused. "I am under his care. He's my... uncle?, is that the right term?" she indicated Kameron who was nearby.

"Oh." the medical technician responded. "Right then..." he paused. "Yes, it's the right term... If he's married to your mother's sister."

Kameron finished with his checks as he came over to Saki. "You okay sweetie?"

"Yes." Saki responded. "This is.... a fascinating place."'

"Can she leave Doctor?"

The young doctor nodded. "She can... but we need to discuss her nutrition... I have concerns."

"Of course... I'll let Rachael know you'll be wanting to talk to her.."

"Thank you." the Doctor responded as Kameron picked up Saki, before gently placing he child onto the floor. "Whee... that was fun!" Saki commented. "Where we off to now?"

"Now... I will show you... the holodeck..." Kameron smiled. "I'm about to expand your mind in ways you've never imagined or dreamed."

Saki looked unconvinced. "We shall see."

"Come then... I will show you." and with that he gently took the child's hand and led his niece in law out the door.
