Posted on Fri Feb 28th, 2020 @ 3:29am by Lieutenant JG Rachael "Ripcord" Yamaguchi-Cullen & Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi & Commodore Siaxx "Bluemoon" Dvald-Vaxx MD & Jillian "Phoenix" Sullivan

Mission: Mission 30: All Thats Left
Location: Planet Surface - Yeneer G1
Timeline: 0830Hrs - March 22nd, 2391

Siaxx's misery was palatable as she was almost finished packing Greywolf's belongings into the crates that Torilla had beamed in. Rachael had shown up in the middle of the conversation which was mostly Torilla listening and Siaxx talking.

Rachael picked up one of Greywolf's books before placing it into a crate. "I'm going to miss this place... Siaxx... did you sort out the bodies yet?"

"I did... they are in two quantum torpedo shells that Phoenix was kind enough to give me... they've been sealed since I got them. Also I had them beamed to the runabout an hour or so ago."

"Well... we're all the last ones left...What about Halftalon?"

"I say we take him with us," Phoenix smiled as she played with the twins, rollings balls back and forth with them.

Siaxx paused. "I can't just leave him here.... he was Greywolf's companion for years... " she paused.

Torilla Yamaguchi closed the last crate as she tapped it once, it then dematerialized in a haze of transporter energy, before she turned to the group. "Alright... Do we have anything else we need to do here?" she asked of the three other women.

"We're set," Phoenix announced. "The bird needs a ride up, an' your kids should probably play with you an' get ta know ya some before we beam up."

Torilla smiled. "Sounds good to me.." she responded. "How are the twins doing Phoenix?" she inquired as Rachael led the four women out of the cave for the last time. "Where's Saki?"

"She's hanging out with Boomer and Kameron..... She said she wanted to be the first to see the sun and stars..." Rachael explained.

"Ahhh.." Torilla paused as she regarded the young child that she had received from Jill while Phoenix held her brother. "Hello Tressa." she smiled warmly at the small child who looked very much like an infant copy of her mother, except for a lighter skin tone. "I'm your mother." Torilla added.

Siaxx meanwhile went over to where Halftalon was tied up as she gently ran her hands over his beak. "Hey..." she whispered before she untied him. "Come on big guy..." she paused before she led him over to the other three women in their group. "Torilla... meet Halftalon."

"Wow....so this is your bird?"

"Yep... " Siaxx responded. "He's one of the best friends I've ever had..." she responded.

For Torilla, it was an easy choice. "He comes along... but... how can we get him onto a runabout?" she paused.

"Beam up to a cargobay?" Phoenix suggested, sat her counterpart on the ground and proceeded to roll another ball back and forth with him. This activity appeared to really get the little boy excited.

Torilla sat down on the ground as she watched Phoenix play with her son which she had also named Phoenix, before she received the second ball which she sent to Tressa. "Here you go sweetie."

This seemed to interest the little girl who passed the ball back to Torilla.

Phoenix then pointed to Torilla and smiled to both children, "She's Torilla. Your mom."

Both Tressa and Phoenix regarded the woman who had looked after them. "Mom?" Tressa asked softly as she stopped the ball that had been sent her way from Torilla before she sent it back to the woman she didn't know.

"Yes," Jill answered and picked little Phoenix up and sat both of the between her and Torilla. "See how much you guys look like her?"

Torilla regarded the two children as they looked at her. "You two little ones look like me... I'm your mother.... Jill... is your aunt."

"Duh," Little Phoenix answered and tossed a ball to Jill once more.

"Why don't you tell your mom what your favorite colors are, hmm?" Phoenix prodded the young children.

Tressa paused. "Blue..." she announced as Torilla smiled. "Really.... so is mine." she commented.

"Green," the little boy said very proudly. Sure of himself, like so many toddlers his age were.

Torilla regarded her second son, he reminded her of Gabriel at that age, she suddenly found herself feeling her age, Tressa got up and slowly ambled over to Torilla before she sat down in front of her. "You... look like us....."

"I'm your mother.." Torilla responded as she gently ran her hand over the top of Tressa's head to ruffle her hair. "So... why don't you guys tell me about yourselves....?" she inquired.

"Phoenix here loves ta eat berries," Jill began with a mother's true joy in her voice, even when she did not realize it. "And he loves to explore a lot, so once we get goin' they'll both need to be on their harnesses."

"I fast," the little boy told his birth mom very proudly.

"Don' he know it," the pilot laughed in response.

Torilla smiled. "How fast?" the taller woman inquired as she looked from her infant daughter to her infant son.

"Fast," the boy replied, a bit shy this time as he realized this strange, tall, dark-skinned woman was talking to him.

"Can you guys use your abilities yet.?" Yamaguchi commented. "I have various abilities that most here do not have.... you have them too...your aunt however... doesn't." Yamaguchi sighed.

"Thats not fair!" Tressa responded.

"Yes... you're right, its not fair but it is what it is..." she indicated Jill. "Your aunt is a difference species to me....She's human... where as I'm Halanan." she paused. "which I will explain as you get older.." she looked between them. "Try reaching out to me... using your mind... think about me....and mentally try and touch me."

Nix gave Torilla a massive look of confusion as he tried to comprehend all the big words used. He understood very little of it, come to think of it, and his sister also seemed to share a similar amount of confusion.

Torilla regarded Tressa as a smile crossed her face. "Well... the first time is always the ugliest." she responded with a smile. "I'll show you something else." as she focused on the large ball which suddenly started moving on its own before lifting up off of the ground as several other smaller balls followed, they began orbiting the larger one like a miniature solar system over her right hand. "These... are the abilities... that if you hone them and respect them... you will someday... be able to make this.."

"Cool," Nix exclaimed with excitement, and tried to grasp at the floating ball. Or at least try to figure out how that was done. Then he looked to his birth mom and laughed with true glee.

"You have a fan," Phoenix winked at her.

"Kids love this little trick.." Torilla responded with a smile. "Tressa.... you okay sweetie?"

"I hate this place!" the child responded.

"I know.." Yamaguchi gently picked up the toddler in her arms. "But we're going to a nice warm place, with lots of space where you won't get eaten... nice and warm and quiet and you'll have your own room to call home..." Torilla smiled. "I hope you'll like it.... your father is also eager to meet you both too.."

"Dad?" Nix asked more to Phoenix.

"Yes. You get to meet your dad," Phoenix smiled brightly.

Both Tressa and Nix both looked confused by the statement. "You'll learn who he is soon enough guys." Torilla commented. "Well guys... is there any last business we need to finish here?"

Rachael shook her head. "I can't tell ya how much I'm looking forward to having a hot bath... you know. scalding hot water, soap and subs..." as the younger woman smiled. "Mmm..."

Siaxx looked around. "I'm going to miss this place...well parts of it anyway.." she sighed. "I've been over this place.... nothing left to pack up and send to the ship. So.... I'm going to head out."

Torilla nodded. "I left a shuttle outside, so we could fly up to the Dreamcrusher."

Siaxx turned her head. "Dreamcrusher?"

"Yep... she's a Pathfinder Three... First of her kind..." Torilla commented as she watched Siaxx slowly make her way out of the cave and out of sight.

Torilla regarded her old friend. "I am sorry... old friend." she whispered.
