Mission: Mission 103: The Rumblings of Discontent
Location: Various Locations - USS Solemn Penance / USS Manticore / USS Rawalpindi and USS Ulysses
Timeline: 1345Hrs - August 27th, 2393

On the bridge of the USS Solemn Pennance. Captain Brevik sighed softly as he regarded the master system display at the back of the bridge. "You know there will be hell to pay for the Captain." as he turned back to the large five-way chat presently taking place on the viewscreen at the front of the bridge.

"We do." Commander Derris Feraan answered. "Questions will be asked at all levels and it'll take a while to shake out in the wash, but it'll be interesting to see how this goes... " she commented.

"Indeed." the Vulcan commanding officer of the USS Rawalpindi answered with a nod of her head. "It will be educational if nothing else. However, you will need to see some extended time for refitting inside a Federation shipyard before anything else can take place," she explained, while she regarded Brevik with a neutral gaze. "What will you do now?" she asked of him.

"I will do what I've always done. I will try my best to help my crew recover, from this debacle," he commented quietly. "Questions will be asked of myself, my crew and the ship's name... Assuming we even have one left at this point..." Brevik exclaimed. "A mutiny on a Federation starship, that by itself is just shocking..."

Anderson regarded Brevik with a measure of concern and pity in her warm blue eyes. "We will ensure you get back to Vanguard, at least now we can start asking the why in addition to the who and when," she commented with a gentle smile on her lips. "We'll get it sorted out."

"Perhaps Captain, perhaps..." Brevik answered her. "Where are the prisoners?" he inquired.

"They are on the Rawalpindi, under lock and key. Nobody gets to see them as I have them all in solitary, and under suicide watch." the handsome Vulcan female explained. The large Vrykul female then took the chance to speak up. "Manticore will escort you back to Vanguard."

Just then the nearby turbolift doors opened, off to Brevik's left as Commander Gaggeva Stark emerged, with a large PADD in her delicate-looking fingers. "Captain. I apologize for the interruption." she addressed Brevik and then conference he was having. The Orion female sighed softly. "The damage is substantial. We have no drives of any kind. We also don't have any defenses and a good chunk of the armor is out as well."

"So we can't fight and we can't flee?" Brevik inquired.

"Yessir," Stark answered with a nod. "What's worse sir... is that this entire ship is a crime scene to treason and mutiny."

Brevik quickly grasped what she was trying to tell him. "If we start any kind of serious repairs, then we could contaminate crime scenes..." he signed softly. "Lovely." as he regarded her. "Alright, do what you can but..." his words trailed off as he knew he needed to get his ship working again but not with the number of crime scenes and the work this entailed.

Anderson spoke up. "I'll send two security teams to begin processing the crime scenes in the Engineering spaces so you can get to work with your repairs," she spoke as L'Ruan nodded. "I will likewise send two teams." It was then that Yamaguchi and Feraan both said they would send two teams and one team apiece. "Thank you, everyone," Brevik answered

"No worries Captain, prepare yourself for warp tow... We can't travel at slipstream while towing you, but we can tow you at warp..." Anderson paused. "Captains Yamaguchi, you head out first and lead us back. L'Ruan, you bring up the rear and Feraan, you stay close." she rattled off what she wanted for the warp formation for the flight home. "Any questions?" Anderson inquired of the other Captains present.

"Nope," L'Ruan answered before disconnecting from the call, everyone else did likewise as the call ended. Brevik moved and sat down in his chair. "Commander." he addressed his executive officer. "What news?"

"We have no hull breaches and thus far, we have no evidence of sabotage. Just neglect and nobody maintaining anything, as the entire crew was crammed into the hanger decks." Walters explained with a soft sigh. "Ironhide and Warlock violated so many regs, its not even funny."

"I know. Same with DeCrescents and Watseka." Brevik commented softly. "They are all casualties in this mess too."

"I know... Ironhide and his band saved all of our lives, yours and mine included in that skipper." Walters responded with a nod. "Plus I have a few jailers I'd like to see spared from the flames of all this."

"I know... I will do what I can for those who surrendered without question, your guards will be among them." Brevik answered quietly. "But not all will be so fortunate," he added.

"I know," Walters answered quietly as they watched the USS Fall of Berlin finish getting into position, suddenly the USS Ulysess jumped away into warp as the Fall of Berlin activated her tractor beam and then she jumped into low warp with the Solemn Pennance with her, Manticore moved into position and the USS Rawalpindi brought up the rear. "Three days back to Vanguard..." Brevik commented softly. "We might as well give the crew the time off, anyone who doesn't want to report for duty won't have to. There will be bad blood aboard and a lot of bad feelings. We also should expect several hundred transfers." he added.

Walters nodded his head. "Anyone wanting reassignment should get it, its best we let them go without argument," he added as he settled in to watch the stars fly across the screen and the other Federation ships nearby.
