Personal History Leah Deepshadow was born in 2345, she was also the youngest of two daughters who were born and raised on Starbase 67 as it orbited a Class J Gas Giant with green bands and whorls. Leah grew up developing a very serious fascination in the sciences but it would be one event in her life that would shift the course of her life from science to tactical.

When she was ten years old, Four Cardassian ships were able to approach and attack the Starbase and for her tenth birthday, the Cardassians brought her the gift of war, she watched as her parents and friends fought to defend the base and in the end, the Cardassian ships were destroyed but it brought home fear to young Leah's life.

Miranda as a result of this decided she didn't want anything to do with Starfleet and when she was old enough she relocated to Deneva where she began teaching classes after spending a half dozen years being educated at Deneva University.

Leah meanwhile decided to go into Starfleet. She applied for, was approved, and went off to Earth to go to the academy in 2363. Once freed from the rather constrictive constraints of her parents. Leah turned into the party girl of her dorm, it took two months for her to snap out of it but she stopped counting how many guys she had slept with as a result of this. Mother nature cured her of her free and wild ways as it often does when biology interfered. What Leah did not know was that she was pregnant with twins and her second child was stolen from her, it produced a rift with all of her relatives, a rift that never truly cleared over time.

Leah knew that her mistakes had cost her most dearly, but she wasn't done making them, had she known what was coming, she would have done something, anything else other then what she had already done. Leah named her remaining child Monique then she abandoned her to someone else's fate, her sister decided she would look after Monique as if she were her own and Leah turned her back on the affair. Focusing on her studies and work and when she was informed that her lost child had been found but had been killed in a robbery gone bad, it broke her heart and very nearly crushed her spirit, she very nearly withdrew from the academy as a result but in the end, she opted not to, part of this was thanks to a fellow cadet named Robert Anderson who became the rock that Leah relied upon for almost anything and everything, the two were dating except he was ensuring that she got out of bed on time, looked after herself and got out to class on time.

Deepshadow and Anderson both graduated with honours in 2367, just in time to face down the Borg in the battle of Wolf 359. The two would be parted by assignments as Deepshadow was assigned to the assignment that everyone in her class wanted, the USS Enterprise-D, and here she would remain for three years before being promoted and transferred to the USS Brightsword. A newly commissioned Nebula class ship and it was here where she spent the entire Dominion war as part of defending various Federation worlds before going into the fray for the Chin'Toka system and then being part of every major battle since then, up to and including the assault on Cardassia which was the battle that ended the war. Leah also ran into an old flame here too, one of her many friends from the academy, the man who would become her husband, Robert Anderson.

Three months after the end of the war with her ship in the dockyards for repairs, she was reassigned to the USS Prowlers, a newly commissioned Akira class vessel, her assignments after this was relatively uneventful but it was her personal life that came calling as she found out that her daughter had to come back to live with her so Miranda could go enlist.

Monique already knew from her early childhood that Leah was her real mother and not Miranda as she had originally guessed and Monique had never forgiven her mother for lying to her or giving her up. Either one of those two would be enough to destroy any relationship before it ever truly got started.

Leah and Anderson began formally dating weeks after they met and within six months, they were married, she also found herself pregnant for the second time with twins boys this time before Deepshadow was reassigned to the USS Prowlers. Robert went with her and so did Monique for the first nine months of their time before she went off to Starfleet Academy, now sure of herself and her own abilities.

Leah seemed to be able to have it all, a husband, children and a family of her own except it weren't to last. In 2387, the group known as the Venturi were equipped with a mixture of stolen Starfleet, Klingon, and Romulan technology and Anderson was beamed out at the last second, he thought he was dead but he quickly realized that he wasn't. however, he was prepared to sacrifice himself and his ship, to save his crew, wife, and children, the resulting explosion destroyed the Venturi's base as well as most of the moon the base was on. Leah once again had to come to terms with a very close near miss.

Starfleet logged the ruins of the moon as 'Anderson's Rings' as the planet and the star system the fight was in was renamed to "Anderson System". Leah didn't mind but she knew she was most fortunate as she still had her husband. Her next posting was to the USS Victory.

Her time on the USS Victory was uneventful as she finally was now able to come to terms with her lost child, she was able to lead her people effectively, with her husband and children around her. Leah was offered the USS Sagittarius as a present as Xavier Bell felt she was worthy of her own command.

Leah accepted and two days later she was off to the Sagittarius to assume command of her very first command that was hers. Robert became her Exec and now she is thriving as commander of this new carrier.

All of this ended in December of 2391 when her carrier went in for decommissioning as she was unsuitable for refitting into a gun destroyer, so she was offered an assignment to the USS Fall of Berlin with her present crew, she accepted and so off she went.
