Location: Various Locations - USS Valhalla
Timeline: Sept 7, 2392

Kumirae and Firespirit were among the first individuals to make it to the rather large admiral's conference room on the Valhalla, finding Vice Admiral Riversky waiting for them. Riversky had called all the admirals of 1stt independent to the conference room, as well as some of the Commodores and Command Master Chiefs. Both Kumirae and Firespirit took their seats quietly while Riversky patiently waited.

The door opened and in walked a Bolian female, she wore a frown on her face but one would think this was normal of Division Admiral Sildra Warfield these days, she selected a chair for herself and took a seat without fuss or anything else. Following her into the room was Division Admiral Stephen Caldwell. The look on his face said he was all about the business he was about to deal with here. He selected a chair next to the Bolian female and sat down.

Behind him was Commodore Siranna, the Caitian Commodore had a wide grin on her face and she was clearly someone who was enjoying herself as she likewise selected a chair near Caldwell.

Orthos entered a moment later with Dawn Veres beside him, the two were chatting about work. "Well, I wouldn't worry too much about the ship. I don't think you'll have issues there but I am concerned about the staffing issues."

"Yeah. I may need to request more people." Veres responded as the two selected seats on the other side of Caldwell, she greeted him with a smile as he returned the gesture with his own.

General Steven Johnson came in moments later as he turned to Masters who had been following him. "Don't worry I won't make anyone salute at this party," he commented while he took a seat nearby. "I miss Heather."

"I'll bet. Just your wife or the kids or wife and the kids?" Masters inquired as he sat down in a chair near to Caldwell.

"No. My wife as the kids can handle themselves." Johnson commented as he likewise took a seat nearby.

Commodore Dumford entered the conference room. He had a wide friendly smile on his face and made a note to say a quick hello to everyone before taking his seat.

As Dessaix entered she was still reading her PaDD. She looked a little strained as she found her seat.

Zuko came in next, sitting next to Kumirae, which plainly illustrated the sheer size difference between the Ankuri and the Kurokuri. Shortly after came K'miras, who was hung over after a drinking session with his fellow fighter corps officers. Following him was Icethorn and Castaln Tholo.

S'rall looked around the room and asked," OK, do we have everyone.

The various people looked around as a few shrugged their shoulders. "No." Masters commented. "We don't have the Commander of First Independent. That's supposed to be some guy named Kory Parkes." he paused. "Wait... did I say that right?"

"It's not unusual for the commanding officer to be fashionably late," Dumford stated in a jovial manner. "I'm sure as commanding officer he is a busy man."

Masters regarded the person who spoke before responding in a snide tone. "Aww then sure, we can put our busy schedules on hold while we wait for whoever this guy is."

Johnson smiled. "Hey, I got all day. No problems at all, considering I do not answer to this worthless piece of shit who can't even keep himself on time."

Caldwell raised an eyebrow, it was seldom ever that Johnson lost his temper and in a gathering like this no less, something else was bothering him. "Steve. You okay?"

"I will be after this meeting ends," Johnson responded in a flat tone of voice.

Riversky did a quick head count and noticed that Cor and Matilda Parks where the only requested people missing. The minutes ticked by as they waited, and after about ten minutes of waiting for Riversky's patience was starting to slip away.

"Has anyone informed Admiral Parks that he has called a meeting?" Dessaix asked in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm the one that called this meeting," Riversky remarked in annoyance.

Kumirae remarked coldly, "he is probably still admiring himself in the mirror, thinks he is bigger than he actually is."

Siranna closed her eyes as she lapsed into a state of meditation as she began to drift off. Caldwell meanwhile was doing the same thing. Masters was sitting back in his chair, with his hands behind his back, his eyes closed and he looked like he was asleep.

Julian Yeager raised an eyebrow. "Hey, Caldwell. You awake?"

Caldwell had his eyes closed when he suddenly opened his eyes. "Yes. I am awake. I was meditating since we all seem to have little better to do than waiting forever."

Masters began to gentle snore while he slept.

Finally, Cory parks and Matilda Parks both showed up, pretending that nothing was wrong with them being late. Kumirae however, couldn't hold herself back. "So you two done admiring yourselves or should we give you two another 15 minutes so you can stroke each others ego's."

Matilda didn't quite expect such brazen disrespect, which left her speechless while Cory parks stammered. "What, Why you, you're insubordinate. I spent a lot of times making sure I'm within reg's, and you are out of reg's, where is your uniform."

Kurmiae shook her head. "Your one to talk, I can clearly see you are out of regs too."

"My uniform is perfect," Parks growled defensively.

"I'm not talking about your uniform Admiral Lardo," Kumirae commented indifferently, "I'm talking about that big lump of fat around your gut."

Cory Parks just stood there and stared at Kumirae, lost for words.

Masters chuckled softly. "Well that was worth waiting for," he commented, clearly fully awake even though he had his eyes closed.

Caldwell slowly smiled. "I confess, I was expecting this to be a dull and boring affair," he commented in a light tone.

Kumirae was about to say something else but Riversky stopped her,
"Enough Kumirae, You have made your point." She then looked at Cory and Matilda, ordering," You two, take your seats, now."

Cory didn't have a big enough spine to challenge Riversky, so he nodded," Yes Admiral," and he took his seat.
