| Personal History | Julian Yeager was born on the Federation colony world of Pangaea in 2349. The son of a member of the high council of Pangaea, this would fuel rather high expectations for his military career as he was expected to go into Starfleet when he came of age. His grew up among several other children, both siblings by blood, by milk and adopted and when the time came he went off to Starfleet academy, here he went into tactical and command as he was determined to prove himself and his worth as quickly as possible. He fought for it and graduated with honors, he was then assigned to his first choice of assignments. The USS Lexington, a Nebula Class starship as one of their junior tactical officers. Also he began expanding his career path with time at the conn and driving shuttles when the occasion called for it. The USS Lexington was present for most of the Klingon war with the Federation in 2373 and also she was present for the second Borg attack where they lost a tenth of the crew in one blast from a Borg torpedo. Yeager stepped up as he became chief of tactical on the bridge when his superior was killed in action. When the Dominion War started, he was assigned to the USS Merlin where he fought the entire war from first shot to last, participating in most of the major battles. He was promoted to Lt Commander during the battle of Chin'Toka. At the end of the war, he was transferred over to the USS Salvation, a Steamrunner class starship where he was able to develop his skillset further but he also got a message from home indicating something terrible was going on, he went to his skipper about it and she was able to have the Salvation diverted to Pangaea. What they found was a world on the verge of being roasted by its host star. Captain Winters Fury called Starfleet and arranged for a quick fix to buy time for a full scale evacuation of the planet, the efforts succeeded and the planet was evacuated but the people lost everything except the clothes on their backs. The Salvation resettled the people on another world in another system, which the people named 'Halla' which meant 'New' in the native tongue. His service on the Salvation was commendable and noteworthy but all good things must end. His time aboard this ship did likewise before he was transferred over to the USS Ommadawn, a galaxy class ship that had deep rooted issues in the command structure. Captain Katana was the direct cause of all the issues, he won command as a result of a battlefield promotion and he was ill suited to command. Yeager and Katana did not get along and the two fell out repeatedly. Yet despite all of that. Yeager survived on this assignment for over three years and he even got a promotion but he finally got tired of the endless bullshit he had to put up with from Katana and his Exec, a woman named Veyla Roulenska Yeager's request was granted and it was here where he met his wife, a woman named Julia Antilles. The two of them hit it off almost from the moment they met and their relationship developed quite slowly, all things considered considering they had an almost never ending series of mishaps and never ending disasters. Things got complicated when Julia's adult son came back into her life with almost ruthless force, he stuck his mother on notice that he was angry with her but Julia was able to reassure her son that she was back in his life rather the continue to ignore him as she had done for the last several years. Julia was able to help his girlfriend and later fiancee sort out her issues with her son using gentle persuasion and logic rather then emotion and ruthless force. Around this time he had gotten Julia pregnant and so he proposed to her, she accepted and the two were married a week later with Admiral Falannar officiating. Keyan accepted his new stepfather as he got on better with Julian then he did with his mother at this point and it soon dawned on Julian that he was now the glue that was holding this family together, of course it helped that Keyan suddenly became a husband around this time as well, with a baby of his own on the way. Keyan soon had to return to the Relentless so Julian and Julia gently saw to Paige and saw to it that she and their new grand-baby was well taken care of. Keyan Farlander returned a year later, a calmer and more rational man, ready for the challenges of fatherhood but Julian lost his wife to a promotion to Rear Admiral and commander of the Seventh Fleet. Julian spent his time looking after his children before he left the USS Ark Royal and heading over to take command of Starbase Eighteen. This was a posting he held until mid-2392 before he was sent back into the field. Today he splits his time between his assignment and raising his three children, he keeps them with him as he knows Julia needs to focus on her work but he also knows that she misses her babies badly. Julian serves these days as the permanent commander of the USS Valhalla after replacing Division Admiral Iceclaw who was only shaking her down. |
