Mission 118: The Christmas from Hell

Sokanon paused a moment before she turned to Xaelah. "When and where.?"
Di'Tomasso took a moment to think about it. She breathed out and then back in again. "The Main Starbase banquet hall. It's big enough for what I want. So I'm going to book it for the twenty-fourth as the humans reckon time." the tall Orion female explained. "If that doesn't work then I'm stuck with the backup plan. Book a place planetside on Utgarde Four and go from there. I will need to book a couple of hotels and it's going to get stupid as a result."
"Understood," Dvald answered. "Let me handle booking the venue. I have a lot more authority than you do." the Bolian then smiled. "I'll talk to the Logistics guys and clear with the command staff. I have a feeling that Fleet Admiral Duval will want to drop by so she can make out with her husband under the mistletoe." the Bolian then smiled. "Personally. I want my husband to remind me of that party he and I met. After we wine and dine. I'll tell him to take me home so he can have his way with me."
"Oh my, how lewd." Di'Tomasso smiled but both Sokanon and Dvald knew that this act of innocence was complete and utter bullshit. Di'Tomasso was a bigger horndog than the two of them combined. However, neither Dvald nor Sokanon were going to say anything on the matter. "Alright. I'm gonna stick in that request so. What else do we need to discuss?"
"Nothing skipper. That's all I wanted." Di'Tomasso answered as the Orion female smiled. "Thanks for letting me address my issues and problems. The Caitian woman said nothing only that she rose to her feet and then she departed without a word. The Orion woman regarded the Bolian before her.
"Alright. Go on. On your way then." Dvald answered before she tapped her combadge. "Dvald to Emerson. M'Elise. Can I pester you?"
"Mmm..." came the response from a female voice. "It's not often I have people other than my husbands who want to pester me. What can I do for you Heris?" came the response from Captain M'Elise Emerson.
"I'd like to book the main Starbase banquet hall on the twenty-fourth for a Christmas party." Dvald outlined her concern and request in no uncertain terms. "My guys will self-police the venue and we will clean out our own mess."
"Mmm... Awfully nice of you Heris." came the response. "Let me clear it with the command staff and I'll get back to you." as Dvald nodded, despite the fact that Emerson couldn't see her. "Understood."
"Wait one. I'll get back to you." and with that, the com disconnected as Emerson rose to her paws. She ambled over to the office of the Starbase Commanding Officer before she knocked at the door. "Enter." came the voice of Commodore Celeste Yamaguchi.
Emerson entered the domain of her boss. "Commodore. A moment please?" she commented. "I know you're busy but I have a request for you."
"What's on your mind M'Elise?" Celeste answered, a smile on her lips. "You're not really in the way of my work. The break is rather nice actually. What can I do for you?"
"Medical has stuck in a request for the large banquet hall on level four hundred for one night. It's for a Christmas party that they would like to hold on the evening of the twenty-fourth." Emerson explained. "They say they will self-police it and they will clean up their trash after they finish."
"Awfully nice of them." Yamaguchi-Hobbs sat forward in her chair, a rather wide smile on her lips. "So what's the catch?"
"Catch?" Emerson inquired not quite following the reference.
"Does anyone else want the space?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs inquired. Her smile slowly faded as she regarded the other woman. At first, thinking that Emerson wasn't getting her joke but then she recalled that this was a woman who was more of a monument to the art of war than anything else. She would never get Celeste's joke, no matter what she did or how hard she tried.
"No," Emerson answered quietly. "I checked before I came to see you. "
Yamaguchi-Hobbs nodded her head. "Alright. Let medical take it then since they have said they will clean up after themselves and not cause too many concerns that evening." she paused. "I assume you will prepare for issues anyway?"
"Naturally. I'll inform security to keep an eye out and when they finish. I will quietly double-check matters with my own people after the medical guys finish with the space." Emerson explained evenly.
Yamaguchi-Hobbs nodded her head. "Alright. Let Heris have her party. I'll leave the other details with you. Thank you M'Elise." she answered with a smile. "Off with you then."
Emerson nodded her thanks. She went back to her station as she tapped her combadge. "Emerson to Dvald. Heris. Are you there?" the Caitian asked softly.
"Yep. What's the word?" Dvald's voice came back.
"The banquet hall is yours. Enjoy. Out." and with that Emerson disconnected from the call. She had a lot of work to handle and she wanted to get back to it.
