Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Heris is generally laid back but she takes threats to her person and her family most seriously. Tangling with her is akin to tangling with a Kraken as this large Bolian female will overpower you through sheer brute force then she'll tear your limbs off one by one. Also, Heris is the quiet type, she doesn't say much to people she doesn't know. Mostly because of shyness. However, once she gets to know the ship she is on, she tends to bloom like a flower and has a world-weary joke when needed. She is generally easy to get along with providing someone isn't clowning around or having a joke at her expense. Heris also is highly skilled in survivalist strategies and skills like foraging, tracking and general hunting, she's also adept at the uglier side of camp life such as skinning and gutting corpses of her prey. |

| Personal History | Heris Dvald was born in 2350, third of four children on the colony world of Bounty. This was a world that truly lived up to its name and it attracted attention from far and wide for its bountiful supplies of foodstuffs which it sent to other Federation colonies but it was an attack from the Orion syndicate which was met with force thanks to the large number of retired Starfleet officers who had settled on this lush paradise of a world. Her parents settled down to live here for several years with their four children. For a time they lived in peace as their father worked here while their mother was off in Starfleet. The Orion's decided to attack and seize the entire colony plus all of its foodstuffs and so their attack began in the early hours of June 22nd, 2359 but what the Orion's didn't count on was the ferocious defense the colonists would give. Even after two hundred of them were finally taken after the Orion's were driven off. Heris Dvald was only nine years old when she along with most of the colony was abducted, she found the experience truly terrifying and to make matters worse. She had already started to mature from gawky child into mature young woman and the Orions noticed this, it was much the same with Theris who was in the next cell over. Thankfully. the Orions never got the chance to make their move as several of the colonists made their moves first and saved everyone else. Heris Dvald found herself helping out with healing the wounded, but even this was a horrifying experience for the nine year old girl but rather then run and hide. Heris like her siblings choose to stand their ground and help. This event was also an eye opening event for Heris as she realized that not everyone wanted peace so she decided to join Starfleet when she twenty two in 2372, when she went off to Starfleet Academy. Heris Dvald would also cram more medical research into her schooling as her attitude began to turn darker over time because of the experience on Bounty. Also she swore she would never be defenseless ever again for any reason whatsoever, in between her medical training and her various other classes, she crammed in three marital arts classes as well as two weapons classes. Heris along with her siblings had noticed the rise in militancy in and around the Federation and she went to the academy around stardate 49011.3. She would later see it as prophetic in that one couldn't rely upon others to protect her or even to help her. She came to firmly believe that she had to do it alone. her time at the academy was instructive and she learned a great deal however she had issues socializing with others and at times was downright unpleasant to be around. Most of it was because she believed that she was preparing for a war that was coming. Heris was called up to the line eighteen months early before her education was finished but she was more then ready for the challenges of wartime, her first assignment was the USS Destiny, one of the newer Sovereign class ships and here she finished off the Dominion War alongside many thousands of others, both fresh faced or grizzled veterans and everything in between. She decided to finish her schooling by online courses rather then going back to the academy. Considering she had adjusted well to life on the Destiny, he would remain on the Destiny for another five years after the Dominion War, meeting her husband aboard this ship. Ranav Grenix who was a small arms technician but one who loved his work. He and Heris began dating and within months two were married, a year later their first children came along, a set of twin boys and several more followed. In a surprise move Ranav swore off all other women in his life as he preferred to romance his main wife, it was something that touched Heris deeply and she swore the same to him. Bolians by the nature are the type who prefer multiple mates but the act of selecting and then remaining with one mate was unusual but some did it when they found one male or one female they preferred, for whatever reason. Heris and her small family remained on the Destiny for the next couple of years before she was posted to the USS House of the Rising Sun as one of their senior doctors and it was here where the rest of her children were born, she and her husband created their family aboard this ship and two months after she had had her last child, she was offered the posting of Chief Medical Officer. It was a post she accepted. In 2388. Heris was offered the chance to start down the road to command herself, with a posting to the Tranquility as their Chief Clinic Officer, she accepted and off she went but in 2391, her youngest sibling, who was now her eldest sibling suddenly appeared to block her way to command by taking the Exec slot that she was hoping to get but this was Siaxx she was thinking about and not some rabble minded idiot. She would have other chances but she was happy to see her sibling again. in early 2392, she was offered the chance to work with the Federations new allies, the Akurians so she accepted and off she went to the ASFS Ryazar's Shield. This assignment was only a temporary one, as before long. Heris was reassigned elsewhere, she was assigned to assist with the wounded coming back from the Klingon's war with the Gorn, on Starbase 12. here. the Bolian remained with her family before being given another temp assignment to Starbase Watchman, this one would be for several months until they gained their permanent chief medical officer who wasn't presently available. After this assignment. Heris would earn the posting of Chief Medical Officer for Starbase Vanguard, out in the Taurus Reach. Heris packed up her family and off she went. |
