Mission: Mission 79: Sound Trumpets! Let Our bloody Colors Wave
Location: B Kayor system
Timeline: 0900Hrs - April 11th, 2392

Teval sat quietly on the bridge when Rykar altered him. "We have an incoming hail from Starfleet command."

"Put it on screen."

Zara, sitting in her lounge chair, looked up at the screen patiently.

Meanwhile on Watchman Station. Jake Yamaguchi regarded Zara Tane and the bridge staff. "Zara... Time is pressing so I'm going to make this very brief.. the Federation Council has finally declared war on the Klingon Empire. I'm relocating your battlegroup to the Goranar System. You'll be assisting the Gorn while April Yamaguchi leads the initial assault into Klingon space." he paused. "Do you have any questions?"

"I'll have a battle plan in your box within a few hours," Zara promised and looked for her yeoman. "I'll assemble a Task Group command staff with suggestions, at any rate."

Teval then asked, "When do we leave, and what of the status of the Cardassian's and Akurian's."

"Send out task group orders to go to warp 6 and start the timer for the jump, five minutes from now," Zara spoke to the bridge.

Lasky turned back to Teval. "I'll need to contact the Akurians... Could you handle the Cardassians?"

Teval looked back to Lasky. "No Lasky, make rounds with the crew, make sure they are ready, I'll contact the Akurians and the Cardassians

Lasky turned his head. "Okay." and with that, he turned and made his way off of the bridge, his first stop now was medical.

Lieutenant Shorin DeMasscho who was manning the tactical station raised an eyebrow. "Not the best way to get things started."

"I want any tactical plans sent to my office in one hour," Zara told to the entire task group. "Conventional and unconventional, Commodore Tane out."

Teval first made contact with the Akurians, and Nevanzi pledged his support, providing a substantial task group. He then next contacted the Cardassian's, and finally, all Federation ships not a part of the battlegroup, establishing an order of battle. Once that was finished he went over to Zara, "Alright, well the Akurians are providing a substantial number of ships, 5 fleet carriers, 8 Battlecruisers and 19 Battleships, 99 Cruisers, 22 Battlemonitors, 15 raiders, 14 support carriers and 440 escorts. The Cardassians won't be providing ships since their constitution forbids them from declaring or waging war unless directly attacked however they will have medical ships on standby if needed. Of the Federation forces, including the battlegroup we have 9 battleships, 4 battlecruisers 58 cruisers and 392 destroyers. However I would like to point out of all the Federation ships available, right now, Roanoke and Courageous are the only carriers. Also, the ships we have are all a scattering of ships coming from many different fleets, I do believe you are one of maybe 3 or 4 Commodores present across all the federation ships and we have no admiral on site. However, it is also worth noting that the most Senior fleet commander available whom will be going is Nevanzi himself, who is a Rear Admiral equivalent."

"Good work," Zara acknowledged from her office chair. "I still want suggestions of strategy to deliver to Nevanzi."

Teval nodded. "Well, first we will need whatever intelligence reports we can get on the size and strength of the Klingons." He then hit his combadge to contact Borodin, "Teval to Sh'Andoo, we need an intel report on the composition of the Klingon fleet around Goranar."

Sh'Andoo's response was quick. "I've been working on that for the last few days Captain," she explained. "I'll have my findings for you in about ten minutes."

Teval then thought about the next issue to attend to. He really wasn't going to like this one, but it had to be done, so he looked over at Zara and added. "Also, it would be prudent to evacuate the children and the civilians from the battlegroup and transfer them to B Kayor or to any ships that are not going."

"I'll sign the order," Zara affirmed. "I don't like the idea of the tykes getting hurt either."

Teval nodded, then immediately left the bridge to attend to his own children, of which he now had 12.

Lasky sighed softly. "I need to make arrangements for Kurt... and all the other children presently aboard ship." as he paused. "We can leave them here on B Kayor... or.. we'll need to send them to Watchman Station..?"

"Watchman might be best. Safest place within reach," Zara pointed out, and deep down, she hated the thought of letting Kurt go for a while.

Rykar, who was still present pointed out,"I don't think we will have time to ship anyone to Watchman, not with the whole fleet mobilizing, plus Zekarria has a planetary energy shield protecting it, watchman does not. Plus I there aren't any transports scheduled to go to watchman anytime soon, and transporting children is a low priority anyway."

Lasky shrugged. "Okay so we leave them here on the planet then." he paused. "Who would look after them?"

"Tranquility could make the jump and be back soon. It's engines make it useful for evacuations and situations like this," Zara reminded them.

Rykar shook her head. "Not going to work, tranquility is needed for standby for any casualties sustained during the fighting, plus right now she is still neck deep in treating refugee's and trying to de-assimilate those former Borg drones. B kayor is far enough from the front to be unlikely to be attacked, plus, with the planetary energy shield, the planet is well protected enough."

Lasky turned his terminal to him. "Tranquility isn't the only medical ship in the area. there are at least a dozen of them now." he paused. "Including three Artemis Class and at least nine older Olympic class ships."

"Right," Zara nodded to Lasky. "We load Tranquility up and let her unload at Watchmen."

Lasky shook his head. "No." he responded bluntly. "Tranquility is needed planetside as she's a MASH specialist and not a transport. Besides, good luck in getting Siaxx to leave the planet now." he shrugged. "Leave all the children here under Siaxx's care and she'll be fine. Besides Tranquility isn't set up to move several dozen children.," he added. "It would be a waste of time."

Aerin whom remained quiet most of the time finally said his piece, "Personally I am not sending my kids all the way over to watchman station in the care of random strangers who have no clue as to how to care for Kurokuri or Ferasian kids."

Rykar nodded in agreement. "Same here."

Lieutenant Nasao peered down at Zara Tane and to a lesser degree, everyone before her. "There is no need to send the children among us to a distant point... We can leave them here.." she commented. "I do not need to send my little one to Watchman when the people planetside here.." Lasky paused. "Anyway... I don't mean to be rude... But we all got work to do so... Let's go to it." and with that, he rose to his feet and walked off of the bridge.
