Mission: Mission 45: Dust and Echoes
Location: Various Locations - USS Alexander the Great
Timeline: 0800Hrs - October 16th, 2391

Captain T'Rae walked onto the bridge of the USS Alexander the Great. "Status update Commander?"

Trolare th'Plmol regarded his skipper with a measure of affection. It was rare for this Andorian Thaan top be nice to anyone yet he always got along with the Vulcan woman before him as she tended to see things from an emotional perspective rather then a logical one. "Everything is status quo Captain. Nothing unusual to report other then a note that came in from Fleet Admiral Yamaguchi that said you need to contact her at your convenience."

"Very well." T'Rae smiled softly as she regarded him. "I'd best not keep the Admiral waiting.." she paused. "I relieve you. Go get some chow and enjoy yourself."

"I will, thank you." before the Andorian turned and went off the bridge, T'Rae paused a moment before she turned to her husband who was just walking onto the bridge as he often dropped the younger kids off at school. "Daniel. the bridge is yours. I need to go and see what Admiral Yamaguchi wants me for this time."

"Understood." and with that Daniel went to sit down in T'Rae's command chair while Nathan Hanson was off the bridge, doing his daily our of the ship, chatting with the crew and seeing to their needs.

T'Rae turned. "Gary, contact Starbase 12 for me, make it as secure and priority for the Admiral's eyes only."

"Willdo." Hawkson was seated at the communications station where he sometimes moonlit as the ships communications officer.

T'Rae walked into the ready room before going over to the replicator. Ordering herself a cup of Raktajino, she inhaled the scent of her favorite drink in the morning before she tapped the wall display. "Gary where are we with that connection?"

The response came back. "We're chasing it sir."

"Okay... The Admiral isn't getting any younger and neither am I." she smiled as the wall monitor activated. April's face appeared. "Captain T'Rae. You got my message I assume?"

"You assume correctly Admiral. What can I do for you this morning?"

"Are you between assignments?"

"I am... yes."

"Good. You and your crew are being reassigned to a new ship... the Alexander the Great and every other Sovereign in the fleet are being reclassified as Light Cruisers which means... you're over ranked for her.. Sorry T'Rae."

"I see." T'Rae responded. "I assume you wish for me to report to Starbase 12 with the Alexander the Great then?"

"Yes please.. As soon as you can get here... I know this is a surprise... but I was able to get a new Century class ship for you..."

"Century class. I have heard of them but never seen then until now."

"Well. You and your crew are about to crew one with you commanding one... The USS First Minister is brand new so you have the pleasure of shaking her down and putting her through her paces."

"I understand. The Alexander the Great and I will be there soon,. I look forward to seeing my new command... but many among my crew won't be happy about this Admiral."

"I understand... It comes with a weeks leave for your crew... since they got their last leave cut short."

"Very well. We will get underway as soon as I finish this transmission." T'Rae responded.

"Very well. I will expect you soon. Yamaguchi out." and with that the screen went black. "Computer access information on the USS First Minister. What can you tell me about her?"

The computer beeped before it spoke. "USS First Minister, fifth ship of the Century class, registry code NCC-98825. The Century class was designed for deep space tactical assignments first and exploration second using the new technology pioneered on the Guardian Class. She carries the new heavy mark five tritanium hull armor." the computer also displayed the specs and the design schematics for the ship on the wall monitor.

T'Rae tapped her combadge. "T'Rae to all senior staff.. I need to see you all in the conference lounge in five minutes." she explained. "Naris.. Take us to Starbase 12, take us to maximum warp."

"Willdo sir." came the response.

T'Rae tapped her combadge as she sighed softly. "Attention all personnel. This is the Captain speaking. We are all being reassigned to a new ship upon arrival at Starbase 12..." she sighed softly. "Alexander the Great is being reassigned... because she has been re-designated from a Heavy Cruiser... to a Light Cruiser. Everyone go home and pack up your bags... because we're all being reassigned. That is all."

T'Rae walked out onto the bridge as she came to a stop as her eyes locked onto those of her husband, she could almost hear his thoughts before she nodded her head.

Daniel nodded back as he rose to his feet, before he rose from the command chair and went into the nearby turbolift, he was gone in seconds while T'Rae walked over to the conference lounge door. "Ensign, the bridge is yours."

Ensign Daniel Taylor nodded. "Yessir." he responded before he went over to the Captain's chair before he sat down in the Exec's chair.

T'Rae went in, finding that her entire senior staff was assembled already, she cut tot the chase. "Alright everyone. Let me be brief... Admiral Yamaguchi has seen fit to reassign us all to a new ship, the USS First Minister, one of the new Century class Starships which are now being commissioned."

Commander Tizarian Lias simply shrugged. "I assume that Xinn will be able to expand his business?"

"Of course." T'Rae responded. "I would not think to deny him the chance to expand.."

Commander Fleur "Archer" Mayweather raised an eyebrow. "Are we getting leave time to ensure this is done right or do they want us to rush this?"

"The Admiral is gicving us a week to ensure everything is done right. I will turn over command to the new Captain, whoever he or she might be three days after we arrive... I want to ensure things are done right."

"Fair enough." Saunders responded. "I've finaly gotten this ship to how I liked her.."

"Alexander the Great will continue..." T'Rae responded. "But she won't be doing the same missions as she was before.. He'll be commanded by a Commander and her senior staff will be Lieutenants and the like."

Hanson sighed. "So... We'll basicly all be overranked for our own ship.."

"Yes. Alas, it sucks... I know." First Lieutenant Ryan Archer responded with a smile. "Don't get me wrong.. I like this ship but its not the ship that make her special.. its the people.. and we'll be remaining together... which at the end.. is the main thing."

"Amen.." Piotr Ulyanov responded. "We'll make this work... same as we have everything else."

"Very well..." T'Rae responded. "We've been given a weeks leave.. I'm going to try and get that extended until ten days... give the crew some time off... If there is nothing else... your all dismissed." T'Rae rose to her feet. "Naris... How long before we arive."

"Three hours... Give or take fifteen minutes Captain."

"Very well." T'Rae turned and departed the room, followed by everyone else.
