Mission: Mission 41: The Changing of the Guard
Location: Various Locations - USS Crazy Horse
Timeline: 1100Hrs - August 25th, 2391

Varkon was walking with Teval in Crazy Horse's corridors, with Teval asking," So what was it you wanted to show me."

"This, " Varkon said as he kicked down the door for one of the science labs, not caring that the door flew halfway across the room, impacting the science officer on the other side. Teval walked in the room, stopping on top of the fallen door, not caring about the guy under it. He looked over at the wall where there where a bunch of cages with all sorts of animals in there. "Well, thats a lot of homes we have to find for them."

Varkon nodded, "Saying, yeah, according to the roster, these animals where recently put on the ship for testing purposes. They got them about a week or so ago."

Teval's fur stood on end and his claws came out but he didn't immediately respond. The man under the door groaned loudly but Teval ignored him, with Varkon mentioning, by the way, the guy under that door, he is the chief science officer for these, 'tests'. Apparently that guy wants to use these animals to test some new types of drugs. He is one of Nechayev's lackeys."

Commander Tom Lasky looked down. "Oh dear me, the man who did this was a professional."

Captain T'Nae smiled as she gently kissed her husband on the tip of his nose. "You always take me to such interesting places..." before she smiled down at Teval. "Aww... and they tell me that Kurokuri don't look cute. I see I was lied to." as she gently ran her fingertips over Teval's ears. "You look so adorable.... so tell me something my little pretty.. whats with the floor decoration?" the Vulcan woman inquired.

Jeff Duval smiled, it wasn't something one often saw but that's because most of the time his wife was never around.

Lasky chuckled softly.

Teval just looked at T'Nae with a puzzled look but didn't say anything

Varkon pulled up his PADD, "Oh, that's James Carey, he is a civilian Scientists of sorts. Main specialty is drug's. Is known for less than moral practices, like unethical testing and shit like that."

Teval shifted his weight and Carey groaned loudly in pain.

Duval moved onto the door as he smiled. "Mmmm.." he regarded the object moving around before he stamped once, very hard on the door. "Stop moving idiot.." he growled softly.

Lasky looked at the various animals all in the cages. "This is bullshit... these guys need new homes... any ideas?" he paused. "We can give them to members of our crew..."

T'Nae smiled. "I want those two.." she indicated two large wild cats. much larger then housecats but smaller then jaguars and pumas.

Teval looked at them, "Oh those are Serval kittens, yeah they are adorable." Teval then looked around at the other animals, seeing a wide variety of different animals. Most appeared to be young animals. He spotted what looked like a snow leopard cub, several red pandas, a long haired dachshund, several capuchin's where among the first animals he saw. Looking at the other cages, there where plenty of dogs and numerous different feline species. He also spotted several fox species, and numerous other kinds of animals, many from Earth but many form other planets as well.

Lasky went over to the small Snow Leopard. "Hey.." he said quietly in his native tongue. "Do you feel confined.... do you want out?" he smiled. "I'm gonna take his guy with me."

T'Nae meanwhile was looking at the Serval kittens. "There are four.. Aww Bollocks... I'll take em all."

Duval meanwhile was busy getting to know a couple of German Shepard's. "Hey..." as both dogs came over to him, he gently touched one of their noses and it came away wet, indicating they were in good health, if lonely. "Okay... Lets get some of these cages open... and take these guys home with us.." he commented as he plucked two leashes.

Lasky watched as Duval opened the cage and he gently leashed up the two German Shepherds and he gently led them away. "Come on guys... lets get you home and settled into your new digs.."

"Lasky to Yamaguchi. Elizabeth.. I got something for you." Lasky sighed softly.

"Tom.. I'm kinda in the middle of something... This isn't a good time.. you'll need to find someone else."

"I can't... I need you for a suspected animal abuse case... we don't have another Vet hon... and nor-"

"Alright. I'm on my way." Elizabeth's voice hardened as Lasky opened the cage, the snow leopard gently touched his hand as he gently brushed his hands over the leopard's head. "Easy... come on out of there... you deserve better then this..." as he gently stuck the leash on the leopard.

Lasky found himself regarding the three Capuchin's. "Hey... one of you wanna come with... I got the perfect person for you to get to know.."

Just then, Elizabeth came in, medkit in hand as she stamped over the door on the deck, she heard a loud scream as she snapped, she reached down as she hefted the door off of the guy before she tossed it aside, like it weighed nothing at all. She then angrily reached down as she yanked the scientist to his feet. "Did you torment these animals.?" she hissed angrily. "Answer true or else I'm going to boil your brains inside your skull." her eyes blazed in fury.

"No.. he didn't.." Lasky commented. "So far we've not found any signs of abuse yet."

Elizabeth casually dropped the scientist into a nearby chair. "Don't go anywhere... if you've harmed them... I will harm you in ways you can't dream about."

Lasky gently slipped an arm around her shoulders as he led her over to the Capuchin case. "Think Zara will like one of these?"

"Sure... and I would too... if only to drive my husband insane."

"Okay.."

Meanwhile Ryuukei, Hakaya, Zuko, and Aerin all made their way in, with Ryuukei looking at all the animals, "Damn." He then spotted the red panda's, saying, "Ohh, red panda's, I had a couple of these at home."

He then walked over to the cage where a full grown red panda and three cubs where in, and opened the cage. the panda's looked up at Ryuukei while he picked up one of the cubs and cradled it.

Teval meanwhile looked at the long haired Dachshund puppy. He very gently picked it up out of the cage. He then looked over at Tom saying, "I think Zara can use this little one."

Lasky indicated the kitty at his feet. "What do you think of this little guy?"

Elizabeth did a quick check. "This Andean Mountain kitty will make a fine pet." she smiled. "He's in excellent health though..."

"I thought he was a Snow leopard."

"No.. that's this big guy over there.." she indicated a cat with a fair size to him. "Give him to Zuko." she smiled. "My new skipper should get on with him rather well." Elizabeth tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Zuko. Skipper we have a situation over on the USS Crazy Horse.. a large collection of animals has been discovered and... well I found a Snow Leopard... do you wanna come look at him?"

Zuko looked over at Elizabeth, saying, "I'm already here Elizabeth, how do you miss someone of my size."

Elizabeth blinked. "Well.. I had no idea you were here..." she paused.

Zuko then looked over at the Snow leopard Cub, "Yeah Tom, I have dealt with Snow leopards in the past, they aren't the easiest to deal with, best let me handle it."

Ryuukei meanwhile found a couple more Andean mountain cats," Yeah, I'll take those two as well." He then tapped his own Combadge, " Ryuukei to, Weyai, Arumi, and Lirvinx, I've got some red panda's and two cats, can you help me carry them home."

All three of them acknowledged and showed up only a few minutes later," Oh wow, Arumi commented, "Yeah that's a lot." She then noticed the red panda and instantly melted, going over to them she picked up the mother and one of the cubs, while Lirvinx got the other cub. None of the panda's protested. Arumi then walked over to Elizabeth saying," They are cute little things aren't they."

Elizabeth blinked her eyes as she started crying softly, pregnancy hormones overloading.

"You okay?" Lasky inquired.

"I sometimes hate being pregnant... I can't control myself too much.."

"Alright.. I'll take three of these kitties then... give these Andian cats a good home... at home in the snow... since Shadow is back home.. she would probably become dominant." as he gently plucked two more from the litter of four as Elizabeth took the last two. "I'll take these two and the Capuchin... I'll name him .." she paused. "I have no idea."

Zuko took the snow leopard cub, which mewed at him, and walked off to the Dreamcrusher, while Ryuukei and his siblings finished grabbing the red panda's and two of the Andean mountain cats, and they left the room as well. Teval then handed tried to hand the dachshund female off to Hakaya, but the puppy wouldn't stop licking his face. He finally handed the puppy off to Hakaya saying," Take her home for now, she will be a gift to Zara when she gets better."

Hakaya nodded, and carried the puppy out of the room, heading back to Roanoke.

Aerin meanwhile, found a couple of red foxes and picked them out. Taking a quick look at them he noticed that they where of the domestic variety, and then picking up the two fox kits, he said as he passed by Elizabeth," I'll take these two with me."

A moment later Duval came in again. "Hey guys.. Is the Fire sale still on?"

"You can't take those.. I will prosecute you all-"

"and sit there and keep quiet.." Lasky responded. "Or I will let the lady do unspeakable things to you." as Elizabeth grinned. "These animals will go to good homes and you will like it... or else.. " as she turned back to Duval. "Hey Sarge.. sure. the sale is still going... no signs of abuse.. so far.."

Duval smiled. "Excellent.." as he went over to the various animals remaining, about a third of them were gone while a lot more remained. "Lets call in our entire crew.." he then tapped his combadge. "Duval to Sheridan, you are needed on the Crazy Horse, I got something for you, bring that hot Bajoran too... tell her I want her in ways I can't say over an open com." he was referring to Gyce.

"Okay." came the response. "I'll go collect Gyce and we'll be right over... and I will tell her you said that. Sheridan out."

Duval found himself regarding a King Shepherd who blinked his eyes slowly at him, he then rose to his feet as the second dog also came over. "I'll take the two of you... but I know someone who could benefit from having you.." as he gently touched the second dog's nose.

He gently leashed them up and he gently led both dogs out. "Thanks Beth... "

"No worries Sergeant Major." she said as the Capuchin gently touched her face. "Hey... what do I call you?"

The Capuchin only blinked at her. "Now I need to find out about the proper caring and feeding of you."

Siaxx came through the door as she looked at the sight. "Well...hello." she paused as she smiled. "Excellent... I've been meaning up find a playmate for Shonax... and Toshnarr could benefit from his own cat too." as she selected the three cats she wanted and after getting them checked, she departed minutes later. cats in hands.

Teval walked over to James Carey, saying, " You know, I liked you better under the door, Varkon if you please."

Varkon then shoived the guy off the chair, sending him sprawling, picked up the door and dropped it on him, causing Carey to scream in pain, then Teval went and sat crosslegged on the door, saying, "Much better."

Elizabeth simply shrugged. "Works for me!" as she chuckled as she gently set her Capuchin on the floor, the ape then proceeded to urinate over his chest. "Arrggg!!!" Carey screamed at the top of his lungs as the Capuchin leapt back to Elizabeth who gently caught him out of the air. "I like you... Jack.." as she nodded. "Yes... I will call you Jack..." as the Capuchin blinked at her.

Roevin and Lynn showed up next, picked out a black footed cat and her three kittens, then walked back out again, only stopping briefly to stare at the guy under the door, then left.

It was after than that Teval mentioned, "Yeah I think its best we get the rest of these guys out of here and onto Dreamcrusher, because I don't know about you, but I don't particularly like this lab."

Carey complained again, when Teval, whom was still sitting on the door, picked up a random hypospray from the table, looked down at Carey, saying, "Huh, I wonder what this does. Shall I use you to find out."

Carey's eyes widened in fear, he shook his head violently, "No no NO, don't use that, that's bad, please don't." He started whimpering.

Elizabeth tried not to laugh. "Go ahead... I can cure it." as her smile widened. "Go on..." she added. "Whatever he's got, I got the cure... through.." she slowly came over. "Man, you stink... I think Jack doesn't.." she stopped as the Capuchin proceeded to slip underneath the door. Suddenly loud screaming could be heard.

Lasky turned to watch in silence.

Teval looked down at carey, then made a move to apply the Hypo, and at that point he just started screaming. Teval then punched the guy in the face, shutting him up, and adding," Keep your mouth shut, and I might just not use this on you."

Carey just whimpered in response.

Elizabeth grinned in response. "He might not... but I will... if you don't behave yourself.." as a few more people came through the door.

Gunther walked in next with Sheridan. Gunther looked over at Teval, whom was sitting on the fallen door, then he noticed a foot sticking out from under the door. Teval looked at them saying," Ah, Gunther, Sheridan, just the two I wanted to see."

He then pointed under the door," This shitbag under the door, I need you two to interrogate this guy, he is the owner of this lab, and he likes to 'experiment' on animals."

"Mmm.. does he now?" Sheridan inquired. "Varkon, would you mind letting him up please and thanks."

"Oh thank you.. thank you."

Teval got off the door then varkon flipped it off the guy.

"Thank you." as he turned to nod to Elizabeth, she smiled as she opened a cage before Sheridan threw him into one of the dog kennals, then he locked it. "I'm gonna leave him in here... I may feed him... I may not... but either way.. I'm going to leave him in here until every single animal is in a good home.. then I will come back here and break every bone in his body to find out what he knows." as Sheridan smiled. "Thank you Teval. I feel... so much better now."

Teval nodded, then said, "Well keep in mind, there are a lot of things for you two to investigate on this ship, so, have fun."

He then left the room and went back to Roanoke.

Sheridan smiled as he looked around. "These guys could use a good home and... I need to get out more." as he spotted one last German Shepard alone. "Come on girl... you're gonna come home with me..." as the dog yipped at him. "Nobody should be alone here... right Gyce?"

"Err... right?" Gyce blinked in confusion.

"Okay" he said to the Bajoran evenly. "I named the dog for you." as he gently opened the cage. "come on girl... out you come.." as the dog yipped once more before she exited the cage, before siting down at his feet, Sheridan gently leashed her up. "Lets get you looked at Gyce... then you can come home with me and hang out in a real home...not this stinking shitpile.."

"Why are you naming your dog after me?" Gyce asked with true curiosity, for any other female would fine this offensive.

"Because you bring a certain joy to my life, serving with you is downright fascinating." Sheridan responded. "I mean no disrespect... as most would consider it as such.."

Elizabeth smiled as she regarded Gyce. "Grab a Dog for Tienn... she could use someone to bond with.. and walk and hang out with... I think she could use it.."

"M'Lady won't need to." Tienn responded as she came around the corner. "Hello guys." she smiled as she regarded the large animal collection. "Aww... was someone going to hurt these guys.?" as she walked over the door.

She was interrupted by a painful groan from a nearby cage. "Whats with him.?" Iteela inquired with soft amusement in her eyes.

"Well... he was the one who was going to experiment on these guys.." Sheridan commented. "I'm going to leave him there... Until I get this sorted out."

Tienn regarded the last two German Shepherds. "Hey.." as they both came over to her. "Aww.. someone was being mean to you..." she smiled. "You guys wanna come home with me?" she asked.

One of them came over and sat down before her. "Gyce.. you want the other one? I can't really take one and leave the other... it would be cruel."

"If you want the other, sure," Gyce smiled. It was nice to see Tienn happy.

"Sounds good to me." as she selected two leashes before clipping them onto the two dog collars. "Come on guys.. lets get you out of this miserable place... and I can show you how I live... trust me. you're going to love the place I live in... with plenty of food and plenty of water and lots of love... right?" as she gently petted both dogs. "Elizabeth. May I pester you a moment?"

Yamaguchi came over as she opened her kit. "I know what you're requesting.." she had a wide smile on her face. "Hopefully these two can help you."

"That sounds good to me." Tienn agreed as Elizabeth checked them over. "Minus them being malnourished, they're in good health..." she responded. "I'll upload the information to your personal database.."

"Sounds good... I'll call them ..." Tienn paused. "Jaina and Kelassa." she said as Elizabeth tapped notes on a PADD. "I'll cut you the pet license and have that sent to your file as well." Yamaguchi smiled down at the smaller woman. "Take these two home and give them a good life."

"Consider it done." and with that Tienn gently led her two charges out the door.

Yamaguchi watched her go. "Gyce, mind if I ask.... why did she choose silver for her eyes?"

"Because I told her the black eyes were too creepy," Gyce laughed lightly. "She seems to feel comfortable in them, so I'm not fussed. Plus, she seems to really enjoy them."

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "Silver suits her... black would have been creepy." she admitted before she smiled.
