Mission: Mission 41: The Changing of the Guard
Location: Various Locations - USS Crazy Horse
Timeline: 0930Hrs - August 23rd, 2391

"Well?" Nechayev asked over the comm line to one of the security officers standing outside Zara's cell.

"We got it all, Ma'am. Doc's got fluids pumping into her now," the tall, dark man spoke. He was muscular and built to take a hit in the stomach. "Should have the files via courier in three hours."

"Make the drop as soon as it is safe," Nechayev told her right hand man.

"Given the background, people will think she's finally lost her wits. No one will think otherwise," the dark man assured as the watched Tane sit in her cell and draw with bloody nails on the wall.

"Meet at our usual in ten," Nechayev spoke with a smile and cut the line.

The dark man continued to watch Tane. Still in the pair of running shorts and tank top she had been arrested in. Hair disheveled. Wild eyes. She rambled a lot from having slightly too much drugs. And the only remnants of her beatings were locked away in her mind.

Very soon, people would see Tane as a crazy person. A maniac.

Meanwhile aboard the USS Roanoke. Lt Commander Tom Lasky smiled. "We ready?" as William Ramirez handed him a crate of phaser rifles. "We're about as ready as we'll ever be... we packed enough ordinance to nuke a small city... and Daisy is leading the strike team.. No offense sir."

"None taken. I prefer to leave things to the professionals." Lasky indicated the rather lovely looking part Klingon woman who was nearby, packing her kit.

Ramirez blinked as Lasky explained. "I got lucky Staff Sergeant. I'm a flyboy who was offered a desk job." he smiled as he looked at the Pilot, finding it to be none other than Lieutenant Kameron Yamaguchi. "You ready?"

"Soon as I get the word sir," Yamaguchi responded. "I am ready to roll."

"Alright.." and with that, he went over to Daisy who was nearby. "Major. We got everyone and everything aboard?" as one of the Marines touched Lasky's sword. "Woah, you like your cutlery Commander."

"Be careful and do not touch that again," Lasky responded quietly as he regarded Nightstar who was nearby. "El Tee.?"

Nightstar looked over at Lasky, saying, "Your coming too?"

Lasky nodded. "I am yes... However... I won't be leading the strike team... I'm leaving that to you guys." he indicated the Caitian and Daisy.

"One second please." Daisy asked Lasky. The team was, in fact, smaller than normal. Daisy had chosen the best marines for the job. Fal, Werner, Vaal, and Grissom were also present on the team. Daisy watched as the marines checked their weapons and other gear. Each gave Daisy a quick thumbs up.

"The assault team is ready." Daisy told Lasky. "Time to deal with the wicked witch of the east."

Lasky smiled as he regarded the Major, he found that he liked her. "Alright guys.. we're leaving.." he commented. "El Tee, you set up there?"

"Ready as I'll ever be... Soon as you give the word sir." Yamaguchi sighed. "Very droll sir..."

"Alright, the word... is given.. Lets go get out skipper back." as Lasky heard someone talking to Dreamcrushers Operations department.

Abaddo checked over his weapon, then commented," Well, its been a little bit since I have been on a job like this, but it still feels very familiar."

Chalan looked over at Abbado, relying," Eh wouldn't worry about it too much, pity we aren't bringing along the Brikar."

"We have a brikar on the ship,?" Nightstar asked curiously.

Chalan nodded then asked, "So how are we going to get to the Crazy horse anyway."

Just then Aerin Ranval showed up, saying, "Well, we have a captured romulan bird of prey, we will be riding on it."

Lasky nodded. "Okay. Lets do this.."

A mere 30 minutes later, the romulan bird of prey Aerin had captured a month ago approached the Crazy Horse, under cloak.

Meanwhile Aerin hailed the captain of the Crazy horse," This is Lt commander Aerin Ranval, you are illegally detaining Captain Zara Tane, Turn her over."

Captain Alex Carey sighed. "I don't know what you are talking about... Now lt. commander, I suggest you go on your way, you have no buisness here."

Aerin whom was sitting in the ships command chair, looked at Seyaki, saying, "OK, set of the virus."

Seykai hit a few commands, and the computer virus he had planted in Crazy horses systems went off. The virus disabled Crazy horse's defenses and propulsion, leaving the ship stranded in space.

Alex Carey's voice came over the comm," What the hell,... I demand to know why you have done this!" he demanded, with a high pitched and nasally voice.

Aerin then hit the Comm, cutting out Alex Careys voice and contacting Daisy Rohr instead, "Major Rohr, the Crazy Horse is disabled, send your team in."

"Roger that Aerin." Daisy acknowledged. The team was beamed over and arrived on Crazy Horse's transports room. As they materialized on the pad two surprised security officers and the transporter tech were stunned by the boarding marines before they could act.

"Alright, two marines will stay here to secure the transporters. The rest of us are going to the brig." Daisy looked at Varkon. "Lead the way please."

Varkon nodded carrying a heavy assault cannon. Abbado stayed just behind him, watching the corridors.

Captain Carey dusted a dust mite that he thought existed on his shpulder. "Repell boarders... find them and kill them!" he growled. "Go go go go!"

"Keeping going!" Daisy shouted into her comm. The team had pushed their way past several security teams but they still had to move fast. It wouldn't take long for the security leadership of the Crazy Horse to figure out their objective.

Varkon had his weapon set to stun, but phaser fire from the security guards struck the weapon and quickly turned it into a smoking wreck. Looking down at the burnt out weapon, Varkon commented," Their weapons are not set to stun."

He then threw the broken weapon at two of the security guards, knocking them clean over. He then ripped out a door and threw it at several more gourds, sending them scattering and making them easy pickings for the marines. Aerin then said over the Comm," You guys are almost there, I am setting the environmental systems to flood the area's you guys aren't going to with anesthezine gas.

The marines were fighting aggressively. They were using generous amounts of grenades and phaser fire. Werner and Vaal were coordinating their teams movements and attacks. Before a target could do anything it was neutralized. Even fallen crew of the Crazy Horse were hit with extra phaser shots just to make sure they were out.

"We are making good progress." Daisy reported to Aerin.

Suddenly, the Crazy horses weapons opened fired on Aerins Bird of prey, the first shot catching them with their shelds down. Seykai managed to get the shields up before the second shot connected, while Aerin said nervously," Seyaki, get that ship flooded with the gas Now."

"Im working on it," Seykai replied impatiently. He let his AI handle the hacking into the ships computer while Seykai himself tried his best to maneuver the bird of prey to avoid getting hit.

"Aerin, those weapons are packing a hell of a punch, Crazy Horse has a lot of firepower for a mere Excelsior," Seykai reported before the shields failed. Several more shots then disabled their engines, the Carey said over the comm, "Alright you traitorous scum, prepare to be boarded."

"More like You need to stand down," Gyce corrected over the comm as her ship popped out of it's cloak to make a massive torpedo spread along the engineering hull of the ship, then just as quickly recloaked.

Seyaki took the opportunity to finish his work, Gyce having bought him the time to finish, "Done, the ship is starting to flood with the gas."

Aerin nodded," I take it our own cloak is down."

Seykai nodded," Yeah, the cloak itself is undamaged, but we no longer have enough power for it."

It took less than a minute for Crazy horse to just start drifting off in a random direction as the crew succumbed to the gas.

Ramirez covered Daisy Ruhr-McKnight as she led the Marines, he had always liked serving with Daisy as she was one of the more mellow officers he'd ever served with but he knew to never anger her or get her in a fight. He only carried a sidearm and a tricorder as most of the gear he had was medical as he shot one of Crazy Horse's crewman who was going to take a shot on one of his own guys. "Their weapons are set to kill." he commented as he picked up the sidearm from the downed crewman.

"Noted Ramirez!" Daisy replied. "That doesn't mean we change we our settings." Daisy replied in a forceful tone. "I catch any marine with their weapon set to kill I' have them on charges." She yelled over the comm and Daisy meant it. Daisy knew her side was right and the last thing she wanted to do was have her marines act like Nechayev's lackeys.

The teams had worked their way to the brig. They were moving more slowly now as the fighting escalated. There were more security and the fighting was tougher.

Nightstar was breathing heavily from the combat, with Chalan saying," Holding up alright."

Nightstar nodded then checked the door, saying," Yep, it locked, Varkon."

Varkon kicked the door with incredible force, sending the door across the room and pinning two unfortunates behind the door. Abbado then tossed a stun grenade in the room, and once it went off, the group entered the brig area, stunning the dazed guards.

Nightstar noticed several people where in the brig, not just Zara Tane.

Ramirez entered the brig area. "Okauy... who do we all have here?" as he noticed Zara Tane lying on the ground, he dropped her forcefield as he went to her first, quickly he assessed her injuries. "Guys, we need to evac this one right now." he then gently proceeded to stabilize her life signs. "Easy Zara.." Ramirez said. "You're among friends now... We're here to rescue you." he addressed the downed woman. "Who else we got sir?" he addressed Nightstar.

Varkon looked at a man he hadn't seen in a long time sitting in one of the brig cells, " Admiral Holland, what the hell is he doing in here."

Chalan opened up the forcefield and went to check the admiral. After assessing with his tricorder, he said," He isn't too bad off, he is just sedated right now. looks like he has some injuries, but nothing life threatening."

Nightstar looked at the other cells, replying to Ramirez," Well, we have
Admiral Urban Holland in here, apparently, and two others I don't recognize."

Meanwhile the rest of the marines had set up in the Security Command area next to the brig. It had seemed like the fighting had simmered down. Then, a series of explosions started.

"Werner to Ruhr!" Daisy heard the large marine shout over the comm. "the marines on the Crazy Horse are counter attacking! They got drones and are wearing some sort of new armor! Permission to shoot on kill?" Werner asked.

"Yes! Do it!" Daisy responded instantly. Truth was that Werner and Vaal had already done so. Werner asking of permission was an afterthought to cover themselves.

Several spherical metallic objects approached the marines. Many were shot down but there were many more. Vaal looked at Werner "We can't hold them much longer!"

Werner got on his comm. "Daisy, we can't hold this position much longer. Do what ya gotta do and get out!"

"I'll take that under advisement." Daisy acknowledged. "Ruhr to the rescue party. We need to leave now!"

Ramirez called for an emergency beamout of the wounded before he began calling for an evac as he beamed out the captured personel from the Crazy Horse. "Time to go guys.." he called. "We got our wounded and prisoners.."

Aerin then said to Daisy, "Hey I got a plan to get these idiot marines to surrender. I can still beam you and your team into the bridge, you guys secure Crazy Horse's command codes and prefix codes, and we can use them to set the self destruct, if the marines don't surrender, they will blow up with their ship."

"Yes..." Daisy had to break off to return fire and take cover. "Please do it fast."

Aerin then hit a few commands on his console. fortunately the warbirds transporters where still working, and using them, he beamed the team to the bridge of Crazy horse. The bridge crew that was still there hesitated momentarily. Abbado, Nightstar, and Chalan where the first to open fire.

Phaser shots flew around the bridge. Daisy spotted a security officer duck behind his station. Quickly she jumped over. The officer pointed his phaser at Daisy but she grabbed it out his hands before he could do anything.

"Deactivate the drones." Daisy told the man.

"What?" the man responded. "No. What are you going to do to me? Kill me?" He almost dared her.

Daisy picked the officer up and slammed him onto his station. "I'm going to break every bone in your body and then rip out all your organs while you watch!" Daisy growled at him. "I am a Klingon. Do you doubt me?" She asked while bearing her teeth.

The man's only response was to go to work at his station. The ship's computer responded "Warning: All drones deactivated."

"Good." Daisy replied in a raspy tone. "Now have the marines redirected to engineering to fight off another boarding party."

There was no party at engineering but the security officer complied. "What?" came a marine's voice. "Alright, disengaging now and heading for engineering."

Daisy hit her comm "The pressure should be off in the brig."

Varkon, whom was still at the brig, added, "We're good, everyone is out."

Aerin then beamed Varkon to the bridge, whom promptly finished off everyone whom was still left on the bridge, shooting them with a phaser on stun.

Ramirez sighed softly as he lowered his phaser. "Alright... Lets finish what we came to do and get out of here." as he regarded the half dozen fallen marines from Crazy Horse's crew and the personel on his own side.

Seykai replied to Aerin, "Got it, I have Crazy horses command codes."

Aerin nodded, then said, "patch me into Crazy Horses intercom."

Seykai nodded and Aerin then said over Crazy Horses intercom, "Crew of the Crazy horse, you have 5 minutes to surrender, if you do not, then I will activate the ships self destruct and destroy you all."

there was a moment of silence, when finally a voice came over the comm, "This is Marine Captain Trevor Carey, We surrender."

Aerin nodded then said, "Well, Major Rohr, kindly detain the survivors."

Ramirez heard the announcement over the com system. "Trevor Carey.. I know that guy." he hissed angrilly. "I'm suddenly looking forward to meeting him again." as he hefted his phaser. "With me cramming my boot up his ass."

Daisy got on her comm. "Alright, round them up and make sure they are disarmed. Then we will segregate them and find out who they are."

Aerin then added," Don't hesitate to shoot any that try anything stupid."

"Roger that Aerin." Daisy replied.

Werner approached Daisy. "Major, when we started running some of the prisoners names a few of these guys are wanted criminals in the Federation."

"Are the separate from the other prisoners?" Daisy asked and Werner confirmed. "Good. Don't let them talk over even look at each other and keep going through who they are."

the USS Miami warped in, and Aerin hailed but Nightstalker and Miami, "We have managed to force Crazy Horses crew to surrender, but we need assistance securing their crew members, if you have any security personnel you can spare for this, that would be really helpful."

Horatio Lorne was standing before the Master System Display on his bridge. "Chief. would you mind?"

"Of course sir." the Security Chief responded before he tapped his combadge. "Aevis to all Security personel, report to the transporter bay on the double." as he nodded to Lorne who nodded back. "They are on their way." Lorne said to Aerin.
