| Personal History | William Ramirez was born in 2359, he was the eldest son of Shakiko and Juan Ramirez, his brother Masamune followed a couple of years later and while his childhood was a happy one, it was haunted by the specters of war and death. Many of his fathers friends went off to war and many of those never came home again, William enlisted in the Marine corps as soon as he graduated high school but he was two years too late to take part in the war. His boot camp experience was nothing out of the ordinary for an aspiring marine and off he went to his first assignment, the Cardassian boarder area and Deep Space Nine. He decided to go into medicine so as to help his guys stay alive. He served here for four years before transferring to the USS Wellington where he served for another four years, his service record is relatively clean and he is more then competent at leading troops. Also he maintained his medical certification as he took courses while assigned here, before his time on the Wellington was finished. He was a fully certified LPN or Licensed Nurse Practitioner as well as a fully registered nurse within his first year of being assigned but by the time he was finished, he was a fully licensed paramedic. While assigned to the USS Shadow, Ramirez met someone he could enjoy her company, Commander Telios Wintersnow and the two ended up having a sexual relationship which quickly turned serious. He was transferred over to the USS Roanoke and since then he was reunited with Telios, their relationship picked up from where it left off. During the Tribble incident, he was evacuated to the USS Dreamcrusher alongside the other marines but during the hanger deck fire, he was recalled to assist in damage control and the like. After the hanger deck fire was finished, he went off to Deneva to finish his medical work in the various areas that needed attention and now he can call himself 'Doctor' Ramirez. Thanks to his sterling service record as well as his conduct, he was offered a commission and while Ramirez accepted, he was offered command of the Marine forces aboard the USS Prinz Eugen, he accepted the billet so off he went, closing the door on his time on USS Roanoke once and for all. For William Ramirez, it would be a chance to rekindle his relationship with his longtime girlfriend who commands the Prinz Eugen, several months went by until he proposed and the two were wed. They remain together on the same ship. |
