Diffusing the situation, and failing

Mission: Mission 25: Prudes Will Be Prudes
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1100Hrs - February 6th, 2391

Firespirit walked onto the Roanoke and found that the ship seemed rather empty. "Where is everyone," the older Eeaouan Commodore asked his younger sister.

Windspirit shrugged, "I don't really know."

"Well, guess it doesn't make a difference," Firespirit said as he hand his sister made their way to Gyce's office. Upon walking in, Windspirit immediately noticed that Gyce's face was worse for wear. Firespirit immediately went into doctor mode, "Um, Lieutenant, have you been to sickbay for that."

"Sickbay has taken a strong dislike with me, simply because I tried to be reasonable in a situation that a teenager blew out of proportion, Sir." Gyce tried not to sound bitter, but she was on her own now. And her face hurt in several places and she knew not who would show her any relief.

Windspirit sighed, as annoyed as she was with the situation, she was still a doctor and felt obligated to help. Grabbing a medkit she said, "Here, I'll take a look at it."

Gyce tried to be as still as possible while she took in the older brass. "Who did you wish to see, Sir. If I may ask?"

Windspirit went to work patching together Gyce's face while Firespirit had an old person moment, "Uh, wait what was I here for."

Windspirit looked at her brother saying, "You wanted to give Lt commander Hakaya Vakar a medical examination so you could figure out what to do with her medical profile."

Firespirit's ears perked up, "Oh, yeah right, sorry, that's just me having an OFS moment. Yeah, what Windspirit said."

"I have not objections with that, Commodore." Gyce pointed down the hall to the right. "Cell One, Sir."

Firespirit commented, "Well I need to do a full medical examination actually, so I'll wait until windspirit fixes you up."

"Very well, Commodore." Gyce would have saluted if not for the fact someone was busy messing with her face.

He waited until Windspirit finished patching up Gyce's Face, then the tree of them went to the brig area. First thing he noticed the moment they walked in, was all the people in the brig area, with Windspirit commenting, "Well, there is the medical staff."

Firspirit looked around, rather stunned, saying, "Um, I see you have been busy here."

"They were the first to answer the Yamaguchi siblings' call to rebel," Gyce informed respectfully.

His eyes then fell on April Yamaguchi, in which he said in a even voice, "Um, Lieutenant, Why is the commander in chief of Starfleet forces Beta Quadrant in the brig here."

"She was with them as a willing participant in creating a disturbance of the peace and taking part in a mass of indecent exposures Sir," Gyce answered.

Firespirit blinked in confusion, "Ooookay, Then. Um April, care to explain."

April smiled as she regarded the Commodore who was presently serving as her head of medical affairs for the sector. "Well... I was bored... so I decided to get out and do something different... besides... I felt like hanging out with my nieces.." she responded.

Elizabeth was still wearing her uniform, she was the only one who was wearing clothing as she was only wearing a tank-top and the pants, Rachael was wearing her older sisters jacket which on her was like a nightie.

Firespirit shook his head, "Leave it to you to be the insane one." He then turned around an absentmindedly walked out of the room, prompting windspirit to say," Firespirit, you old codger, get back here." Firespirit then remembered what he came down for, "Oh right, the exam, sorry."

He looked around at the cells, trying to find Hakaya. It took him a little time as he spotted the one nearly empty cell, with the diminutive little Kurokuri, lying curled up in the back of the cell. Firespirit pointed at the cell, "Ah, there she is." He then looked at the other cells, that where all filled to the brim, prompting him to ask, "Wait, why is she in there alone."

"She did not do very well with a group, so I had her isolated Sir." Gyce too, looked concerned. "I believe it was a claustrophobic attack, brought on by PTSD. But she is not all that thrilled with me, so I can not diagnose her properly to be sure."

As the forcefield went down, Firespirit cautiously entered the cell, saying, "Commander Vakar, I'm Commodore Firespirit, I need to conduct a medical examination."

Firespirit saw Hakaya's ears move, but she didn't say anything. He could smell something was off with her. As he approached, he noticed her fur stand up. Gently putting a hand on her he said softly, "It's O.K. I'm just here to help."

Hakaya didn't move, and some sixth sense told Firespirit something was wrong. Old as he was, he still had quick feline reflexes, jumping back and out of the way as she made a sudden attack, swiping at him with her claws. Hakaya's ears where pointed backwards and she gave Firespirit a nasty glare, hissing loudly at him. Even though she wasn't the same species as him, he had seen the same reaction before, from Eeiauoan's whom suffered from severe cases of PTSD.

Windspirit was already ahead of her brother on the matter, figuring that there were few people whom could reason with hakaya. Tapping her combadge she summoned both Teval and Varkon, figuring that if Teval couldn't reason with her sibling, Varkon, being a Brikar, could handle Hakaya without being hurt.

Both Teval and Varkon arrived quickly, and not needing to ask any questions, Teval knew instantly what was wrong with his sibling. Approaching carefully, he made his presence known, "Hakaya?"

Firespirit turned to Gyce saying, "Yeah, that is definitely a case of PTSD, a serious one at that."

"I am sooo sorry Commander," Gyce said, a little choked up. "I'd never of put you in this position had I known."

"Can' trust a bitch with a hero complex," Phoenix spat out from a few cells down. "Aren' you detective types supposed ta be good at this readin' people shit?"

"Colonel Sullivan," Gyce spoke after she cleared her throat and walked away from said cell and headed to Phoenix's. "I did what I thought was right at the time. I don't need to explain myself to a traitor and ex-con."

"Sticks an' stone, Love." Phoenix huffed and growled when she watched Gyce ignore her and walk away.

Siaxx was curled up next to Phoenix as she gently gave the larger woman a kiss on the cheek. "Ignore her..." she responded. "She's just an asshole." Siaxx smiled.

Firespirit looked as Teval tried to comfort his sibling. He then turned to Gyce saying, "Well, the only thing to do now is to get the lieutenant commander away from the cause, which I suspect is probably the cell."

"Wild animals don' like ta be caged, Dumb Ass," Phoenix told to Gyce very spitefully. "Let her go, Lieutenant."

"Colonel Sullivan?" Gyce sighed irritably. "Cease and desist, or I will put you in a different cell. I am dealing with the situation now."

"Ooooh. I'm sooo scared of a Bajoran terrorist with a cane," Phoenix mocked loudly.

"At least I never made a deal with the devil to appease a blood lust," Gyce retorted. Clearly she had read Phoenix's file and knew where Phoenix's weak points here.

And that did it. Phoenix forgot where she was and punched the forcefield so hard with her metal fist, a massive shock that nearly shorted out her electronics in her prosthetic.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck," Phoenix repeated in a loop and danced around to try and cope with the pain. Gyce just shook her head and ignored the woman once more.

"I am fine with released your sister into your custody, Commander," Gyce told Teval, over Phoenix's swearing.

"Lieutenant.... You mind getting me a medkit?" Siaxx calmly requested.

Aerin arrived with a blanket, having been told by Teval's AI to bring one. Teval took the blanket, wrapped it around his sibling, and varkon came over and carefully picked up Hakaya, the four of them leaving the brig area without a word.

Meanwhile, Windspirit came over, still holding the medkit she used to patch Gyce up.

Siaxx took the medkit from Windspirit. "Me thinks the lady doth protest much." she responded in old english, before Windspirit could respond, she turned and went to tend to Phoenix.

April Yamaguchi placed two fingers between her lips as she let out a very loud whistle. "That..... is enough.." she growled.

Siaxx helped Phoenix back to the bench. "Okay... I'm going to give you a mild tranq to help with the anxiety." she explained. "10 cc's." before she injected Phoenix with something to help calm her.

Firespirit looked at Gyce, looked at windspirit, looked at April, then looked back at Gyce, "Well, if you Excuse me, I'm going to check on Commander Vakar." He and windspirit then left the brig area as well.

"Don' touch me," Phoenix barked back. "I don' want your stinkin' pills or shots, Siaxx. I wanna make that arrogant limp pay for treatin' folks like shit."

"That's enough Colonel!" Gyce barked to Phoenix.

"No. It's not," Phoenix corrected. "You just wanna make your mark so you get a nice cushy job as JAG's bitch."

"I only care about the safety of children. And it feels like I'm the only one that does on this ship, as many arrests I've made in the innocents' names," Gyce retorted calmly. "For a pregnant woman, you must not care much for the safety of yours. Given the amount of danger you're putting yours in by beating on a forcefield."

Gyce walked off and went back to her desk. Phoenix, however, stood there in shock. And in a cry of anguish, she struck the force field against with a sob. Because Gyce was right.

April opened her mouth to say something but Siaxx beat her to it. "But you're not innocent.... are you?" Siaxx commented softly. "Now you're just being an asshole... Because you've got no idea as to the situation.-"

April then interrupted. "Lieutenant... You are so ignorant... Its going to take me a week just to straighten you out...." she paused. "I should have sent you somewhere else.. and while it was my orders that sent you here... I'm going to correct my mistake when I get back to my office.." she growled softly. "You're not innocent in this shitstorm..."

Rachael sneered. "You're picking a fight with a pregnant woman... If my siblings die because of you then i'-"

"Going to make you pay for it..." April interrupted her niece.

Firespirit and windspirit didn't say anything as they walked slowly down the hallway, thinking about what was going on. Firespirit wasn't really sure as to all the details of the situation, but he knew now, that this was more complicated than he anticipated. He figured that the least he could do was help out as well as he could. The two of them arrived at Teval and Hakaya's quarters and hit the door chime. Teval answered the door, saying, "oh, yeah what is it."

Firespirit said kindly," Well, I am just coming to see if Hakaya is feeling any better."

Teval shook his head," Now isn't a good time, I dont expect that she will come around for a few days, what did you say to her."

Firespirit just shrugged," All I did was introduce myself, and state that I was there to give her a medical examination."

Teval looked at the bedroom, saying," That's probably what set her off, in all honesty, no is just not a good time."

Firespirit nodded," I understand, I know what PTSD does to Eeiaouans, It tends to cause their mind to revert to a feral mentality, and its some work to bring them back. I figured that since your species looks similar, that may be whats happening."

Teval looked at Aerin, whom confirmed," Yeah that's about right, Its not unheard of for Kurokuri whom have experienced severe mental trauma to adopt a very feral mentality."

"Well I understand, I'll come back when she is in better shape then." And with that Firespirit and windspirit both left to see the captain.

Minutes later Firespirit and Windspirit entered Captain Tane's read room. Firespirit introduced, "Captain Tane I am commodore Firespirit."

"Sir," Zara nodded respectfully and half-frowned when she spotted Windspirit. "What can I do for you?"

"You can drop the sir, just call me Firespirit, never been much of the formal kind." Firespirit said as he started to have an old person moment again, completely forgetting what he came up here for. He then looked at windspirit, a bit confused, and said," What was I here for again."

Windspirit facepalmed, saying, "You were here to discuss the situation regarding Commander Vakar."

Firespirit turned back to Zara saying, "Oh right that, you will have to forgive me, I have OFS."

"Doctor Furban to Captain Tane?"

Zara cringed when she held her hand out apologetically, "Here, Nymph. What's up?"

"Colonel Sullivan's blood pressure is rising to unaccepbable levels. And I told Doctor Dvald promised me she would take care of the Colonel. So I need someone to make sure Colonel Sullivan is brought back to sickbay soon," Furban complained.

"I'm on it. Tane out."

Zara facepalmed and pulled a cigar from her box. The bit the tip off and lit it.

"You were saying Commodore?" Tane asked as she enjoyed her stoogie.

Firespirit could tell exactly what kind of cigar that was, by smelling it. "You know, with the crew that you have, I can completely sympathize with you on why you smoke those."

"Furban's an autistic, medical savant." Zara frowned through a cloud of smoke. "Drives everyone insane... Then you have Sullivan, who we call Phoenix. She punches anyone she don't like much. And her girlfriend acts as her bodyguard, when you try to punish her."

Zara took a deep breath, then exhaled another cloud before she continued her crew, "My chief engineer's got his underlings mixed up in some sort of cult that believes the warp core is a god. And most of the doctors of the medical staff have either mind fucked me, kidnapped me for some demented prank. Or chased me through the damn ship."

Windspirit finally remembered the incident where she had to treat Zara's allergies. So she explained," Well in all fairness, when I treated your allergies, I was in a real bad mood that day. Lets face it, the entire medical staff was missing and I was the only one left to put together some 50 crotches in one day. Not fun, but I'm sorry for embarrassing you like that."

"I appreciate the apology Doctor, though I do not envy you for performing that daunting task," Zara nodded toward Windspirit. "You care for one, Commodore?"

Firespirit shrugged, "Sure why not, don't see the harm."

"So how insane is it down there?" Zara asked more to Windspirit as she clipped an end of a new cigar off, then handed it to Firespirit, along with a match.

Firespirit took the cigar and lit it, taking a smoke. He then offered it to windspirit, whom shrugged, and took a puff herself. She then answered," Yeah its gotten rather insane down there. The brigs are full, Hakaya had some kind of PTSD episode, and the commander in chief of starfleet forces beta quadrant is in the brig, butt-assed naked."

All Zara could do was blink in complete shock.

Firespirit nodded," Yeah, Fleet Admiral April Yamaguchi is in your brig. Apparently Lt. Benice wants you to charge April for indecent exposure."

"Umm..." Zara blinked again, then facepalm. Then she leaned forward and banged her forehead against the desk several times. "My... crew... are... a... bunch... of... morons."

Windspirit looked at her brother whom was holding the cigar,"Yeah, I think I need another puff of that." Firespirit handed her the cigar, saying to Zara, " So how do you intend to handle this one."

"Tent revival where I set the morons right," Zara spoke after she spent several exhales of her cigar.
