Infinity's Arrow - Part Five

Mission: Mission 108: Grains of Sand
Location: Various Locations - USS Infinity
Timeline: 1030Hrs - October 21st, 2393

Commander Sarah Horner smiled as she regarded the Bajoran Captain before her, the two of them were about to become Captains of their own respective ships and both would soon be leaving the Infinity forever, as they went off to make their own destinies among the stars and with their own separate crews. "Hey, come on in... You want to do this here?"

"Sure, why not?" Kayden answered. "It's better than the lounge, more private and what we're about to discuss should be considered private. We do not need the crew being privy to the details," he commented as he regarded the handsome human woman before him, he had liked and admired Sarah Horner even while she was a counselor before moving into command to replace T'Shaamet when she had gotten command of the Infinity and her predecessor, the USS Song of the East.

"Indeed. Come on in then." Horner answered as she regarded the Bajoran male before her, she saw something in Kayden that she liked and admitted, he was a free spirit like herself, he tended to toe the line on the rules and regulations rather than worship then as some tended to do. The door slid closed behind him as he smiled. "Do you think we'll have some time for ourselves?"

"Sure. I still have these quarters for at least another two hours and you know my preferences." Horner smiled as she knew where this chat was going, straight into lust territory and she knew she would need to sort this out before they ended up getting nothing done other than thirty minutes of mindless sex which she typically indulged in at least once a week.

"Indeed I do... Hot or cold water this time?" Kayden inquired.

"Hot... It's our last time together for who knows how long, we might not see each other again for years..." Horner responded as she sighed softly.

"Fair enough, I will make you moan and whimper like never before..." Kayden commented. "First though, let's see who we can select for Executive officers for us..." he decided to get things back onto topic before she could do it for them. "Alright, let's round up the players..." he then tapped his combadge. "Kayden to Temetti. Could you drop by Commander Horners Quarters please?" he decided to start with her and work his way out.

"Yessir, I'm on my way." came the answer.

The next few minutes went by in as Kayden and Horner worked out who they were going to ask, they narrowed it down to four people. Shaalari, Alyssa, Kolar, and Tressa. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Alyssa Temetti was granted permission to enter, she did so and she took a seat on the sofa. 'You sent for me. What's up?"

Horner smiled. "We're both looking for First Officers for our respective commands. We narrowed it down to four people, Yourself, Kolar, Shaalari and Tressa."

Temetti nodded her head. "You can scratch Tressa off of your lists, she's heading for the Valhalla and she's not interested in command. I'd have better luck trying to convince her to let Darmin impregnate her." there was something in the tone and the way she said it which made Horner wince. "Oooh, remind me to never piss you off..." she commented.

"So it's just the three of us, completing for two Exec slots," Temetti commented. "Who do I need to deal with?" she inquired.

"Well... Which one of us do you want to serve with?" Kayden answered. "Both Sarah and I have open slots... Which one do you want?."

"You." Temetti regarded Kayden. "I will be honored to serve as your Exec."

"Excellent. Will Kolar be offended.?"

"Not in the slightest," Temetti answered as she tapped her combadge. "Temetti to Kolar, come on in." and with that, the door opened and in walked Kolar. "So, you accepted then?" he inquired of his spouse.

"I did. I will be leaving to serve as Executive officer of the USS..." she paused as she looked at Kayden for the infomation which he did. "The USS Gallant, a Guardian class Starship."

"Excellent," Kolar answered as Horner regarded him. "I want you for my Exec Kolar. Will you accept it?" she inquired of the Klingon before her.

"Yes. I will... Which one of us will raise Darmin?" Kolar inquired of his spouse.

"I'll take him with me for now," Temetti answered with a gentle smile. "We can work out the details later," she added.

"Alright. Sarah and I have a few details to work out between us... and you two got a lot to take care of so we don't wish to keep you."

"Indeed." Temetti smiled as she rose to her feet. "Come on Kolar, we have our own details to work out." as she regarded her husband before she led him out the door. Once they were gone, Horner rose to her feet as she smiled. "Come on, the shower awaits and I want to enjoy this." as she went into the master bedroom, shucking her clothing as she did so, Kayden Nell followed as he was doing likewise, the door closed behind them in silence.
