Posted on Fri Jan 1st, 2021 @ 1:55pm by Commander Victoria 'Enyo' Yamaguchi & Commander Morae Stormstout & Lieutenant Commander Ouros Yamaguchi & Commodore T'Shaamet 'Runt' Antilles

Mission: Mission 105: The Mirror, Shattered
Location: Various Locations - USS Infinity
Timeline: 1115Hrs - October 2nd, 2393

Captain Ouros Yamaguchi smiled as she regarded the massive female who had just entered the commanding officer's ready room. Commander Morae Stormstout nodded as she regarded the woman before her who was almost child-sized. "You called for me, skipper." he was not a question as she sat down next to the woman who was almost a tenth of her size and mass. T'Shaamet handed her the PADD in her hand. "Enyo had a chat with our prisoner and I'd like your perspective on the said batter before I make my next move."

"Alright." as Stormstout watched the chat take place. "Mmmm... Okay, I say cut her loose at the time and place of where she wished to go, she caused us no issues, she committed no crimes but we can't leave her with any technology or equipment that could be traced back to us," she commented with a soft sigh.

"A disabled shuttle won't work... We can use one of our older escape pods, we can fabricate one from the seventies designs, we have the specs in the main computer." T'Shaamet agreed before she turned to Ouros. "Would you mind handling it Ouros?"

"Yessir, I'll take care of it right away. By your leave sir?" she inquired, a wide smile on her lips.

"Go to it Ouros. Let me know as soon as you are done."

"Aye skipper." and with that, the massive woman walked out the door and was gone. Stormstout raised an eyebrow. "What happened to her?"

"I happened to her, she and I had... a mind-meld and I freed her from the demons that had been plaguing her," T'Shaamet explained in a soft tone of voice. "I don't know if I did her any real favours or not, it remains to be seen what the long term effects will be," she added.

"Lovely," Stormstout answered in a flat tone of voice. "I mean hell, getting a smile out of her was a major achievement until now, I didn't even think she could smile... She always seemed to be in a state of almost constant pissed off... Maybe this will be a good thing." she sounded unsure of herself and it came across in her tone of voice.

"Perhaps... That's why I asked her to handle the escape pod, it will give her some time to think on matters before her and before us." the small Vulcan explained. "So, you wanna let her go.?"

"I do, she's more of a risk to us when she's here but cut her loose in this escape pod and ensure that she's picked up, then it's off to our next stop on our mission," Stormstout answered. "She doesn't seem to know though which will assist us..."

"Indeed. Hopefully, Ouros can resolve her concerns in a manner that lets her have some peace."

Stormstout regarded the smaller Vulcan as she looked puzzled. "What happened to her...?"

T'Shammet regarded the massive female before her, her eyes heavy with unshed tears. "Beleive me Morae... You do not wish to know... Trust me on this... You don't wanna know..." as a tear emerged from her eye and wet her face, the effects of gravity pulling inexorably downwards towards the ship's deck plating, it was joined by several more before T'Shaamet managed to regain control of her emotions.

"I'm sorry..." Stormstout answered. "I've... Never seen a Vulcan lose their emotional composure." she paused. "Will you be alright?"

"I will be... After I meditate..." T'Shaamet answered softly.

Meanwhile, down at the industrial replicator. Captain Ouros Yamaguchi regarded the design of the escape pod, fortunately, it could be made in one push of a button. Ouros smiled as she selected the design she liked and she requested that it be built, the replicator systems activated and created the pod she requested before she called for a beam out of her and this pod to one of the smaller hanger bays on the ship.

Yamaguchi smiled before she spent the next hour checking it over for issues, concerns, and problems. Fortunately, there were none as this escape pod seemed like it was ready for service, she then arranged for the engine to be fueled. The deck gang was only too happy to assist her with these efforts and after what seemed like several hours had gone by, but it was only an hour or so. Ouros was ready to call her efforts as complete. Her last item was the family Katana from the armory which she had beamed into the pod, she had no more desire to keep it.

Yamaguchi tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to T'Shaamet?" she inquired.

"Go ahead Captain, What's up?" the Vulcan requested of her.

"The pod is ready for service skipper. I've checked her out from stem to stern and she's good to go. Her engines are fueled and flight-ready, as is her armour plating." Ouros explained her report, using simple terms.

"Outstanding Captain. I'll have the prisoner brought up to you, where are you at present?" the Vulcan inquired over the com system.

"Hanger Three sir," Ouros answered.

Meanwhile, T'Shaamet smiled as she tapped her combadge. "T'Shaamet to Yamamguchi.?"

"Enyo here, go ahead sir.?" came the response from the second Yamaguchi aboard ship. "Take your prisoner to hanger three and cut her loose."

"Yessir." came the response. Enyo smiled as she released the forcefield, she beckoned the other woman over. "Come on, let's go for a walk..."
she commented. April rose to her feet and she exited the cell in silence before the two women walked down the hallway towards their destination.

The two entered a turbolift and a few minutes went by as they travelled the ship and they entered hanger three. "There you go, a Federation escape pod," Enyo commented with a smile. "You'll be able to hail your people, the pod is fully loaded with everything you'll need, in fact, it's better equipped than our poods..." as she turned to Ouros. "Did you ensure the pod was ready for anything.?"

"Anything." as Ouros regarded her aunt. "I do not think we will meet again. April Yamaguchi... I renounce my ties to you and this wretched world... The family Katana that was entrusted to me by your mother... Is aboard the escape pod, I hereby return it to you. I no longer require it..."

"I see... Thank you." April answered quietly. "You can still come home Ouros."

"No. I have a home, with these people... I will remain with them and see where life takes me..." Ouros paused. "I will take my leave of you now... Farewell, for we will not meet again." and with that, Yamaguchi turned and walked out of the hangar bay. Enyo watched her go in silence. "I too will take my leave of you but please board the escape pod so we can drop you off..."

April nodded, she moved towards the escape pod before she boarded it, she slid the outer hatch closed. "Yamaguchi to Hanger Three tower control. I'm ready on here... You guys can kick me over the side any time you like," she explained.

"Copy that. You are cleared to depart USS Infinity airspace." came the answer. "Brace for cast-off." the voice added as April picked up the Katana before she spilled the sheath strap over her shoulder and down to her other hip, as she would wear the blade on her back rather than on her belt. She felt the pod be gently seized by a tractor beam and then gently moved towards the main hatch before the beam, threw her out of the hanger and away from the Infinity.

April looked out the viewport, she watched the massive ship slowly swing her bow around to a new heading before she engaged her warp drive, a moment later after a bright flash, the sip was gone. April went to work as she arranged for her rescue.
