Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1030Hrs, October 17th, 2393

1st Lieutenant Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen was sitting at her desk as she sighed softly, she was almost out of options on how to get the ball rolling on dealing with this issue regarding Siaxx and Tom Lasky, it was her idea to resolve it and not Siaxx's which she had a feeling that this was part of it. Meanwhile, the turbolift carrying Fleet Captain Siaxx Dvald-Vaxx reached its destination before its doors opened, out came the pregnant Bolian female, she moved through Operations as she glanced over at Operations where she spotted Commander Dagmar Proudmoore rather than Post Captain Plataea Lasky. She raised an eyebrow in silence, while she knocked on the Station commander's office door.

"Enter." came a female voice from within, Dvald-Vaxx admitted herself as she regarded her boss with a tired look in her eyes. "Celeste. Thanks for seeing me... I'll come right to the point."

Yamaguchi-Hobbs regarded the smaller Bolian before her, as she indicated the chairs across from her. "Take a seat Siaxx. I promise to not bite... What happened to you?" she inquired, compassion and concern shining in her dark eyes as she regarded her first officer.

"Three things... I need a way to resolve this issue between myself and Admiral Lasky. I'm also pregnant... and I need to go and see the Doctor... Heris already wishes to sideline me... I've been putting her off..." Dvald-Vaxx admitted in a quiet tone. "I thought I could handle this... I thought I could do that and keep my job at the same time." Dvald-Vaxx let out a soft sigh.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs nodded her head in understanding. "I have a young child of my own and my time with him was challenging, not to mention how he was conceived... While my situation is vastly different from your's Siaxx... I do understand where you are coming from... So I'll have Tirothyn to become my Exec and ask Rob or Mikaela to become acting Second officer... But if worst comes to worst. I'll bring in someone new... We're not short of command-level officers and I can always ask for assistance. Fleet Admiral Duval will provide me with someone."

Dvald-Vaxx nodded her head. "Yeah... Well. I didn't think this would get so stupid..." she paused. "This thing between Lasky and I... It has to end..." she paused as she regarded her boss. "I'm tired of fighting... I'm tired of living in the fortress. I want to be able to move out and stop being on guard around the man... He scares me to death, just being in the same room with him."

Yamaguchi-Hobbs raised an eyebrow. "How long has this issue been going on for?" she asked, out of curiosity.

Dvald-Vaxx sighed. "Years... I tried earlier... He wasn't having it... I am not known for being the most forward-thinking person in the universe Celeste... I've made mistakes. Said things when I really should have shut up." the heavily pregnant Bolian didn't burst into tears at this point, she sounded weary and tired as if she had been beaten down and broken. It suddenly dawned on Yamaguchi-Hobbs that Siaxx was numb from this issue, which made her feel even worse about not wanting to get involved. "I wish I could help Siaxx... I truly do... But I got enough issues of my own at present... I have a child I didn't know existed who's a marine, she takes after Brianna, of all things... and Rob is present too... Which complicates my life in interesting and fascinating ways..."

"Alright... Fair enough." Dvald-Vaxx admitted quietly.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs had one last chance to do something otherwise this was all going to go right to hell in her face. "But... What about your husband?" she inquired. "Recruit him to help you... and then recruit Plataea Lasky, she's off today... She's hopefully at home, hopefully taking it easy... If you can recruit both of them... Then bring Rachael Junior with you. Then you'll have three to his one." she paused. "If reason cannot persuade you, then force can at least delay you."

Dvald-Vaxx nodded her head. "Thank you, Celeste. You have been most helpful." and with that, she rose to her feet and departed in silence. While Yamaguchi-Hobbs tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi-Hobbs to R'Shav?." she inquired over the starbases com system.

"Go ahead Mrrr....." came the female Caitian's voice from the comm system.

"Could you come in here please?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs asked. "It's about Siaxx and her pregnancy."

"I am on my way Mrrr....." the Caitian purred as there was a sudden knock on the door. "Enter," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered, upon seeing R'Shav before er, she lightly tapped her combadge, severing the comlink to the other woman, as there was no longer any need of it. "Come on in Tirothyn, let me give you all the bad news all at once."

The tall female Caitian came over before she slid her lithe form into a chair across from Yamaguchi-Hobbs. "So Siaxx has been sidelined then?"

"No," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered. "But she's going to request it... As she feels it'll give her more time to prepare to deal with the rest of her pregnancy and delivery of her child. She doesn't have a lot of space downstairs for things to go wrong so she wants to make sure all is well for her child. A worthy approach." the taller female human explained to the Caitian seated across from her.

"Mmm... Indeed." the Caitian agreed. "So until further notice. I am your acting first officer then?" the Caitian inquired of the woman across from her.

"Yes, you start officially as First Officer, tomorrow morning first thing to handle your paperwork and make sure your replacement is ready for your job while Siaxx will ensure that you are ready to handle her job... Which you more or less already knew how to do already." Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered in a deadpan tone of voice.

"Alright, Who will you pick?" R'Shav inquired.

"I'm thinking either Rob or Mikaela," Yamaguchi-Hobbs admitted.

"No, neither is a good choice. Mikaela is needed in Tactical and keep the fuck away from Rob, he'll end up impregnating you before the week is out, I've seen how he looks at you when you are in the room." R'Shav answered bluntly.

"Wow... That's a surprise.." Yamaguchi-Hobbs paused. "Who do you recommend?"

"Mmm... Captain Ariel Gilmore has an excellent track record. As does Captain Marrik F'enu." she paused. "Captain Tolian Brevik has massive levels of experience that most simply lack and will never be able to acquire." she frowned. "That is unless they become immortal or functionally ageless..." she paused. "Also there is the matter of the mutiny so this might be a way of redeeming him and his crew." she paused. "Then there is Commander Ortilon from the Vanguard ground facilities..." The Caitian female explained.

"Alright. I'll ask around and see who wishes to become our new slave for the next six months." Yamaguchi-Hobbs smiled at the Caitian who smiled back.
"See who takes the offer," she added.
