A Voice in the Wilderness - Part Five

Timeline: 1100Hrs, October 17th, 2393

Post Captain Plataea Lasky was lying on her sofa as she almost eagerly awaited her due date, her child was now fully developed and she was ready to have her baby, calling this pregnancy a chore was almost not overstating it enough as she wanted her body back but she also knew that her babies were ready to be born. She was wearing a skirt and a tank top and neither article of clothing were enough to hide the fact that she was heavily pregnant. Lasky gently ran her fingers over her massive belly as she slowly got up and moved over towards the den, she had intended to look after some paperwork that she had not yet finished, when she felt a sudden telepathic touch on her mind, the pregnant woman turned and went over to the entrance to her home, where she found herself with 1st Lieutenant Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen.

Yamaguchi-Cullen didn't look suprised in the least as she regarded the woman who was her mother in all aspects save one, Lasky was not from this reality and thus, she had become Yamaguchi-Cullen's aunt to explain away the issues, it was better than the truth. "Hey, Aunt Plataea. May I come in... I don't wish to bother you but a matter has come up and I've been forced to drag others into this mess..."

Lasky regarded the younger female before her with an impish smile. "So, whats my husband gone and done now...?" she inquired. "Did he sleep with your grandmother or something?" she added, with a rather wide smile on her lips.

"No." Yamaguchi-Cullen sighed softly. "But it would be easier if he had. Then I'd leave it for Grandma Rachael to resolve, probably with belting him one and calling it a day." the smaller female sighed. "No. It's Siaxx..." Yamaguchi-Cullen paused a moment.

"Aww, fuck..." Lasky sighed softly "What's the Bolian gone and done now?" the heavily pregnant female let out a loud and long sigh.

"She wishes to discuss terms for a peace accord with your husband. However, your husband wishes war as he and Siaxx have never gotten along..." Yamaguchi-Cullen sighed. "It does not help that according to your husband, Siaxx thinks he is a sexual predator of the ladies in our family."

Lasky instantly facepalmed. "How could she be so stupid!" she growled. "Unbelievable, this level of stupidity... Its something I'd expect from Kurt or Nigel... Not from a fully grown woman who is approaching a half-century of age... Dammit." as she growled. "Godsdammit Siaxx!."

Yamaguchi-Cullen regarded the larger female before her. "Tom was the one who accused Siaxx... She didn't deny it, she was caught so flat-footed by the event in question, but she didn't say it..." she explained as she tried to catch the other woman's attention before Laskyt demolished something or crushed something using her psionic abilities.

Lasky glared at the younger woman. "Tom said that..." she whispered as Yamaguchi-Cullen gently placed her hands onto the other woman's shoulders. "Calm down mom, it's alright..." she whispered. "Think of your child... He doesn't need to be feeling these surges of energy from you," she added. "I made this mistake with Saki... and it causes her issues, even now..."

Lasky sighed softly as she crumbled into a chair, with Yamaguchi-Cullen guiding her into the chair in question. "Siaxx... What did she say to him... Exactly." she almost demanded.

Yamaguchi-Cullen sighed softly. "I wasn't there... I wish I had been..." she paused. "Siaxx said that she wished to resolve their issues with each other... It starts well enough discussing me, of all people." she let out a sigh.

"That's easy to explain," Lasky responded. "Tom has a special place in his heart for you, more so then Elizabeth. With Elizabeth, he sees her as the woman who brought him faith, who gave him a future. She made him believe again." Lasky regarded the younger female before her. "You were his student, he was your sensai and he was denied the chance to know anything with you... Phoenix stole you from him and she decided to train you herself... Look at the job she has done with you... Mmmm... Pathetic." she commented with a dark smile. "Oh Tom is a far better teacher, he could teach you things you wouldn't believe, hell he's been teaching me in the fine arts of Shaolin combat and he will teach our children too, even though some of it looks like pure torment," she explained. "Kurt is taking well to it as is Nigel. This one will too."

Yamaguchi-Cullen regarded the woman who was her aunt. "I... I never knew that."

"Tom would not have spoken of it so openly, he has a thing for teaching. He's been educating me and Lasarra. Apparently, Lasarra finds it deeply fulfilling." she explained. "There was and always will be a special connection between sensai and student. But you gained your first callsign from him... Not from Phoenix. Remember the name he gave you?"

"Talos..." Yamaguchi-Cullen nodded her head. "I never knew what it was in regards to."

"You see what I mean... Phoenix did a rather pathetic job with you. Your tactical skills are subpar and your flying skills are what I would call adequate." she paused. "That's no slight against you... Because you are capable of so much more, Engineering is a field you've excelled, I've seen you excel as have others. Oh, you should see the commendations and comments on your service record that Ra'Vak left, I swear, he wanted to take you to bed and leave you with a child." Lasky explained. "Things like 'She would make a great engineer if she could be convinced to stop wasting her time flying."

Yamaguchi-Cullen paused as she sighed softly. "Perhaps... But will you help me with this mess with Siaxx and Tom?"

"Yes... I will." Lasky answered. "I want to see this little Bolian squirm. Hell, I might even take her to bed myself." Lasky added with a grin.

"Aunt Plataea..." Yamaguchi-Cullen moaned softly. "Must you?" she asked softly.

"I must... Anyway. I'll be back shortly, I need to change into something decent, I can't go out looking like this..." as she rose to her feet and moved into the bedroom in silence. Yamaguchi-Cullen sat down in the chair that Lasky had just vacated, she noted the older woman's perfume wasn't too bad, it was different from her mothers but that was not a cause for complaint, but then she knew she would be waiting for a while, as Yamaguchi-Cullen got comfy.
