Mission:
Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard / USS Solemn Pennance
Timeline: 0900Hrs - September 21st, 2393
Since arriving back at the Starbase on the first of September, Captain Brevik and many of his crew had been interviewed and had dealt with the almost endless drama surrounding the mutiny that had taken place aboard the USS Solemn Penance as he came across a PADD that had been sitting on his desk, he had doubtless been dropped off by his yeoman and now it needed only one thing from Brevik to become effective, his signature. Once that was done copies of the transfer orders that the PADD contained would be wired off to everyone listed on the PADD.
Brevik know that getting the replacements would be easy, the Starbase was almost a thousand kilometers away and had not been any further and thus the swapping of the personel affected by this would be almost painless. Brevik knew that thus far the investigation had not found anything wrong in place with himself or his senior staff, only that it was a human defense league member and now Starfleet had stuck out a notice to all Federation ships, bases, and colonies to be aware of the situation. Thus far it had proved to be something of a revelation as almost a half dozen people had been unmasked as members and then the Federation had declared the HDL or Human Defense League as a terrorist organization and subject to forced dismantling by Starfleet security. Brevik tapped the PADD once before he applied his signature, he then placed the PADD down onto the desk before him, as he tapped his com badge and called the various people whom he wished to see
A few minutes went by as they all gathered in his office. John Watseka was sitting on the sofa with his wife next to him. Raynor was sitting on one of the chairs nearby with Jes-Tereth nearby, Warlock was leaning against the wall near the replicator and Solin was sitting before Brevik. "You called to see us, sir? what's going on?" Raynor inquired.
"I've called you to inform you all directly that you are all being reassigned to the Starbase, Raynor, you, Jes-Tereth and Warlock are being assigned to the One Hundred and Fifth Starfighter Battalion. This all takes effect more or less immediately, as the mutiny requires reassignment of affected personel, you guys were the most vulnerable."
Jes-Tereth was the one who answered. "Because of what happened and how things went down?"
"Exactly," Brevik answered. "As there is no work to do, and nothing to worry about. All of you, go home, pack and get going to your new postings. Your replacements are due this afternoon and I'd like this matter sorted out soonest."
"Yessir," Ironhide answered. "Does Starfleet blame us for the matter at hand?"
"No. If they did, then you'd be in a cell, same as the traitor-king." Brevik answered. "No, I think they wan to make sure that you guys can move on with your careers and with life, unaffected by what happened here. For some, that will be harder than others but we'll make do." Brevik commented evenly. "Alright, questions?" he inquired of the room before him.
Warlock nodded. "Whos replacing us.?"
"For medical, that would be Lt Commander T'Arla Hammerson. Her husband, Commander Natham Hammerson will be taking over your post, Lindsey." he paused. "Anthony, you'll be replaced with Colonel Hadar J'Herim." Brevik paused. "Did I say that right?"
"Ahh... Jem'Hadar. I'll get to see her before I go. It'll be nice to see her again." Ironhide answered with a nod. "Yes, she and I are friends... You'll like her," he added that last part unnecessarily.
"Warlock, you'll be replaced with Lt Colonel Pollux "Jetfire" Knoxx," Brevik explained evenly. "And you, Ms. Jes-Tereth, will be replaced with Chief Sergeant Kerric F'enu," Brevik explained evenly. "Do you guys have any issues with these new guys?"
Watseka spoke up. "Commander Hammerson will do an excellent job with security," she explained evenly. "I've not met him myself but I've heard of him from others, they say good things."
"That's good to know Lindsey," Brevik answered quietly. "The investigation is still proceeding but I have it on good authority that you are all cleared of any wrongdoing in the matter before the investigations but you might still be asked questions and asked for information, so provide it when requested and required... and I will wish you all luck on your next postings," Brevik answered evenly. "If there is nothing further, then you are all dismissed." and with that, the meeting was concluded.
Warlock turned and departed, Ironhide followed with Jes-Tereth following in silence. Solin followed behind her.
John Watseka regarded Brevik. "Take care of yourself, sir?" he commented, as neither of these two men was big on long goodbyes.
"I will John. You do the same alright?" Brevik answered, John nodded and he likewise departed with Lindsey following him in silence.
