Drama and Regrets - Part Nine

Mission: Mission 108: Grains of Sand
Location: Various Locations - USS Heart of the Tiger / Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1200Hrs - December 3rd, 2393

Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen paused. "My plan isn't gonna work. It'll take too long," she commented evenly. Cullen smiled. "Fair enough." and with that, he went over to the replicator while he finished the last of his ice cream. Sarah and Saki had long finished theirs.

Yamaguchi-Cullen went over to where the two children were located. "It's time for us all to get checked over girls. Come on," she commented to Saki and then Sarah in quick succession.

Yamaguchi-Cullen tugged on her boots, as she could feel her husbands eyes on her. She straightened up as she gave him a look. Saki snickered but said nothing as she slipped on her own runners. Cullen and Sarah did likewise and then they were all off. The next stop was Vanguards hospital complex. Which the family reached about ten minutes later. Saki and Sarah both looked around at the Starbase Plaza while they approached the main entrance to the main hospital complex.

The plaza was a busy place as it was three levels. All full of places to eat and stops to shop at. It was an endless display of culture and art on full public display. Along with plenty of culture and pieces of art as well.

The double doors of the Starbase medical area opened and the family went into the medical facilities. This was where Yamaguchi-Cullen knew her husband would soon be working and where her sibling already did work.

Yamaguchi-Cullen and her family went over to the front desk. "Hey, guys. We're the Yamaguchi-Cullen's. We're booked in to see Doctor Callipoe Pravdin-Burgoyne. I think her name is." she commented. "Our appointment is twelve-fifteen," she added.

"Yamaguchi-Cullen... Ahh." the man answered. "Found you," he commented as he regarded Rachael with a gentle smile. "Welcome to Vanguard, you guys. I'll let the Doctor know you guys are here and if you could kindly take a seat. I'll page her for you."

"Thanks," Yamaguchi-Cullen answered, a sweet smile on her lips as the four of them moved into the waiting area.

Meanwhile, ensconced in her little den of sin. Lieutenant Commander Calliope Pravdin-Burgoyne smiled as she was finishing a piece of paperwork that she had wanted to do earlier but as usual, something had gotten in the way. She was just placing it into the done pile when the com system beeped at her. "Doctor Pravdin-Burgoyne to the front desk, please. Doctor Pravdin-Burgoyne to the front desk." came the summons.

Pravdin-Burgoyne rose to her feet before she slipped on her lab coat. This had two effects. It made her feel dressed and it hid her lithe figure. The half Bajoran woman moved down the hallway towards her destination which she reached a moment later.

Pravdin-Burgoyne smiled. "Hey, Mike. What do you got for me?" she asked.

"Your twelve-fifteen has arived. Lieutenant Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen is in the waiting area with her family," he commented. "I'll admit. She reminds me of Elizabeth Yamaguchi-Solusar. In many ways."

"I know," Pravdin-Burgoyne admitted. "Hopefully Beth will be back soon. I miss working with her. "If anyone can make Doctor Fordring smile again. It's her," she added.

"Yeah," Mike answered. "I'll leave to you it." Pravdin-Burgoyne nodded her head before she went over to find her newest patient. "Lieutenant Yamaguchi-Cullen?"

"Right here." Yamaguchi-Cullen rose to her feet. Cullen and their two kids did likewise.

"All four of you?" Pravdin-Burgoyne inquired. "Okay then. Right this way, you guys." she then turned and withdrew back into the hospital complex.

Yamaguchi-Cullen followed. Cullen was beside his wife and Saki and Sarah followed. None of them made a noise, within moments they were in the office used for the examinations. First Saki went up, then Sarah, then Cullen himself followed lastly by Yamaguchi-Cullen. All had nothing wrong with them and all got clean bills of health.

The event was short and now Cullen was free to check-in. He found his quarry as he knocked on the Bolian woman's door.

"Doctor Cullen. As I live and breathe." Heris Dvald gave him a rather impish grin. "Siaxx has told me about how amazing you are." as she grinned at him. "Don't worry. I won't be asking you for that sort of service. But I know Siaxx might."

"Siaxx is welcome to ask me." Cullen handed the Bolian his orders. "But she will need to see my spouse first and clear the matter up with her. If Rachie approves. Then and only then will I take care of Siaxx's needs." as he regarded the woman before him. "When do I start?"

"Not for a week," Dvald answered. "For now. However, you'll be on Alpha Watch so see where you can fit in as I'd like for you to take a little time and settle in before I start anything stupid with you."

"That's fine with me." he smiled. The meeting was as short as it was dramatic. Soon he was gone then he went off to collect his younger children.
