| Personal History | Ennis was born in 2363 to a fisherman fleet CEO and his wife, in the town of Mullaghmore, Ireland. And as surfing was one of the big attractions to this beach road, it was no surprise that in his youth, he was a big surfer fanatic. He was always adventurous and looked to the stars often. But when he started doing charity work with his church group as a kid, he grew to also love the humanitarian work. This is what ultimately got him and his girlfriend into the medical field. In 2381 he married his high school crush, Olivia, right before running off to SF Academy. And for the longest time, they were a happy couple. However, it was not until Olivia was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, that eventually took a lot of the wind out of Ennis' sails. When Olivia died, he was left with a three-year-old boy and a nine and a half-year-old girl. It took a few months for him to pick himself back up and work hard to give his little family as much joy as possible, even if he did miss his wife. His meeting with Rachael was during the second Peeves Incident in which a hormonal wave, reinforced with telepathy thanks to then Commander Torilla Yamaguchi ended up encouraging everyone on the ship to mate with the closest person within range. Rachael ended up bedding Ennis Cullen by sheer chance and while both enjoyed the event, neither held much promise in the relationship but Rachael was the one who made the first half dozen moves as she really liked what she saw in Ennis Cullen. Things moved slowly for them and Ennis met Saki very quickly, the two bonded after Ennis earned the small child's respect in that he wasn't there to steal her mother away. Over time, Rachael was reassigned away so she could complete her schooling, first, it was boot camp and then warrant school and then flight training, all of them in quick succession. Saki had problems adjusting to the changes and Ennis took her in so he could keep an eye on his girlfriend and then fiancee's child as if she was his own. He showed Saki what a father figure should be. First by earning her respect and then her truth and then her love. Saki appreciated the chance to spend time with Ennis, Sarah and Daniel and while Saki had the problems she needed to work through, she adjusted well and found the resulting stability highly worth it to her. Since Rachael had been gone. Ennis had adjusted to having a child around with highly specific needs but when Rachael returned. Saki wasn't present when Lasarra substituted herself for her doppelganger and the two had sex. However, Saki unmasked Lassara as an imposter before psionically screaming for her mother. Rachael arrived seconds later and she threw Lasarra out of her home with violent force. Later on, Ennis and Rachael had their reunion but it was tainted by Lasarra's actions in sexually assaulting Ennis. The incident provoked a frightening response from Rachael and Ennis had to comfort his wife as she confronted her demon, however, this has only brought the two of them closer together. The yearlong stint on the USS Roanoke-A did not change matters between them. After the near destruction of his assignment, Ennis and Rachael were both assigned together to serve on Starbase 47. Him as one of their surgeons. He didn't protest this assignment as he and his young wife could be together with their family. In mid-2393. Ennis was offered a posting as Chief Medical Officer on the USS Heart of the Tiger. Due to parenting issues and concerns, he took all of the children with him as Rachael was needed on Vanguard. It would be several months until Rachael got her rank and her awards from her actions over Goranar. Ennis and Rachael were reunited as she then rejoined her husband several months later as the Chief of Conn. |
