Medical Concerns and Issues - Part Five

Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 0850Hrs - December 4th, 2393

Solusar-Yamaguchi followed the small gathering into the medical lab. Yamaguchi-Solusar began to peel off her uniform for the nightgown she had packed. It was better than the medical garb and she much prefered the comfort of her sleep attire. When she was finished, she packed away her uniform before Fordring gently helped onto one of the beds. Galiaan Fordring smiled as she gently took the smaller woman's hand on her own. "It's gonna be okay Beth. Vanguards finest are looking after them and you. Okay?"

"Okay." Yamaguchi-Solusar tried to smile before she turned her attention to her spouse. "Kam. There is no need for you to remain here until I'm up and about. I know you still had a few things you wanted to take care of and Robbie needs his father. When he's done with school." She knew that her husband would not leave her side, no matter what was said or done. But she knew he needed to leave.

"Okay, Beth," Solusar-Yamaguchi answered with a nod of his head. He made himself comfortable on a chair nearby as he closed his eyes and seemed to quickly fall asleep. Yamaguchi-Solusar had always envied her husbands ability to fall asleep.

Paris went over to the two incubators. She smiled as she regarded the work that she had done earlier. Paris suspected that Beth would have gone for this anyway, regardless of the cost or the risks involved but then she liked to be sure anyway. She smiled as she was sure that all was in readiness for what was to come. "Alright." Paris turned to Yamaguchi-Solusar who was now lying on the bed. "We are ready to start. Whenever you are." she smiled at the larger woman, her friend and colleague. "Do you have names ready for your babies?" You'll be seeing them shortly and assuming all goes well. You'll be able to hold them in your arms."

Yamaguchi-Solusar paused. She had completely forgotten about the names of what she and Kameron had decided weeks earlier for their children. "What genders are they?"

"Both of them are female," Paris answered.

It was Solusar-Yamaguchi who answered. "Bethany for the first and Galiaan for the second." as he indicated the large female in the room. She had not known of this honour that was being bestowed upon her and the look on her face said as much.

Paris noticed it too. As she smiled. "Alright. Bethany and then Galiaan," she commented. She moved to the main control panel as she began her work. "Galiaan. Are you alright?." Paris asked of the much older woman who was assisting her today with the matter at hand. While she worked at her panel.

"Yes, Doctor. I'm fine." Fordring answered. "I was not expecting this honour today," she admitted.

"Do you need a few moments?" Paris inquired, not unkindly.

"No," Fordring answered quickly before she paused. "No, that will not be necessary," she added after a moment. She turned to Yamaguchi-Solusar, while she fought off a wave of emotion but she said nothing. Yamaguchi-Solusar looked back at her. She likewise said nothing.

Paris could hear the telepathic interplay between the two women before her. She smiled as she took a moment to double-check her systems. "I hate to interrupt but. All systems are operational and ready."

Fordring produced her tricorder. "You ready?" she asked Yamaguchi-Solusar who nodded in response. Fordring opened her tricorder as she gave the younger woman a quick physical. "Alright. Kadian. Whenever you are ready dear. The dawn has come. It's time for these children to be born."

Paris nodded as she tapped the display before her. "Energizing," she commented once. Inside the further of the two incubators, a tiny being materialized within. The life signs readings on the side indicated that the child was alive and healthy. It started screaming a moment later only for the incubator to react to the fragile life it contained within.

Fordring moved over to the incubator. She then gave this small lifeform a quick physical. "Welcome to the world, little one," she commented. "Bethany Yamaguchi-Solusar." as she smiled. "She's alive and well," she added.

Yamaguchi-Solusar sighed as she smiled. Soon she would be holding her babies in her arms. Robbie could interact with his sisters, and Elizabeth could have her body back.

Paris tapped the display a second time. The process was repeated in the closer of the two incubators as a tiny lifeform appeared within. Within a moment it too began yelling and screaming. Fordring came over to her namesake's incubator. She administered a quick physical to the small infant present before her. "Welcome to the world, little one. Today is your first day... Galiaan Yamaguchi-Solusar." she paused. "Su cuy'gar, ner burc'ya. Ni vercopa vi liser ve'ganir at kar'taylir solus ashi o'r te teem vlass." Fordring then smiled as she placed her hand onto the incubator's surface. The translator kicked in and went to work. "Hello, my friend. I hope we can get to know each other in the days ahead."

Kadian Paris smiled. "congratulations, you two." she commented. "I'll have you moved to recovery room one, Beth. Mostly for observation and to make sure nothing stupid happens to you."

Fordring paused before she spoke up. "I'll keep these two with me for a little while. I want to make sure the other issue that you have isn't bothering them," she commented. "Besides. It'll let you sleep without any sort of issues. I will take care of them, same as I'm looking after Siaxx's second child."

Yamaguchi-Solusar slowly smiled. "Alright."
