Mission: Mission 111: The Sorrows of Night
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1230Hrs - October 25th, 2393

Lt Commander Galiaan Fordring knew that this matter would not end well but nevertheless, she knew she needed to see this issue through to its conclusion, whatever that may be. She knew that she needed to go and explain herself to her friend and former colleague, even though all of the blame wasn't hers by default. Fordring knew that anything but accepting full responsibility for what had happened and what had not happened was going to be a total waste of time.

Fordring reached her destination, and she tapped the door chime. The door was answered by Kameron Solusar-Yamaguchi a moment later. "Elizabeth is expecting you. She's in the bedroom... Go on in." he explained in blunt terms.

Solusar-Yamaguchi regarded her for a moment in silence before he withdrew into the den, no doubt to get on with whatever work he had been doing before she had arrived at their quarters. Fordring gently rapped her massive fist against the doors to the bedroom. "Elizabeth?" she asked gently.

The doors slid open and Elizabeth Yamaguchi-Solusar stood before Fordring. She looked more alert and bright-eyed then Fordring had seen her, she also looked rested and bored. Aside from the rage in her eyes, this would almost be a happy reunion. "Galiaan. Come in..." Yamaguchi-Solusar took three steps back before she sat down on the bed. She was wearing a skirt and a tank top, neither of which did anything to hide the fact that she was now heavily pregnant. She looked up at Fordring in silence.

Fordring noted that Yamaguchi-Solusar did not offer her a place to sit so she decided that she would stand for this. "I'm sorry for my part in all of this Beth." The massive woman decided to come right out and say it rather then drag out the little dance between them into something it wasn't. Fordring decided not to prolong the matter and make a bad situation worse.

"Galiaan... Before you fall on your sword, there are some things you should know." Yamaguchi-Solusar commented. "Kameron outside wanted to give you a very serious piece of his mind for your part in the insanity I've had to endure over these last fourteen months..." she commented. "I asked him not to. I will deal with Captain Dvald and Commander Sokanon soon enough because they share responsibility for letting me work myself to death for the medical department." she regarded the massive woman before her. "Sit down Galiaan... Before I hurt something looking up at you."

Fordring selected the nearest chair, and after judging it able to hold her massive weight, she sat down on it. Yet she continued to say nothing.

"At best, I got half the medical staff for culpable negligence in the treatment of me. At worst. I got enough to end the careers of all involved... Excep[t for some insane reason. I do not feel like decapitating the entire department." she commented softly. "But I'm going to make it clear Galiaan that if I do come back... I will be working my assigned hours and then I'm gone... No more late nights, no more double shifts. I got a family to think about. I can't afford to fuck this up... and this has been my toughest pregnancy yet." she explained. "If this pregnancy fails before of what I've endured. The hell Medical has already endured will be nothing compared to the wrath of the gods that I will bring with me."

"I understand," Fordring answered quietly.

"I won't be going anywhere for several months... But before you leave here. There are a couple of other things you should know." Yamaguchi-Solusar added.

"Oh?" Fordring inquired as she regarded the other woman before her.

"Yes." Yamaguchi-Solusar produced a PADD and handed it to the massive woman. "While medical has been busy unfucking itself because of the disaster that I caused... I got several job offers... One of them would have me start tomorrow and work from home. It lasts until my maternity leave is over. So My career doesn't suffer from recent events." she explained. "General Ranik Solusar would have me transfer to his staff as an admin assistant. I would look after the paperwork and the like for him. I'd still wear the teal colours as the General doesn't wish to rock the boat too much... But while I'm working for him, nobody else can touch me for any reason... I think he actually likes this...I know I do... I've also decided to accept his offer... Starting tomorrow... I look after paperwork for the General. It does not help matters that the General has transferred his flag to the Starbase from the Valhalla... Just him, not his staff..."

Fordring knew that her future could get stupid if this matter wasn't handled correctly. "Elizabeth, this is a conflict of interest and you know it."
