Mission: Mission 110: Blue on Blue
Location: Various Locations - USS Queen Mary / USS Stalingrad / IKS Korinar
Timeline: 0615Hrs - October 25th, 2393

Captain Aiden Torel was sitting in his command chair, he knew that the Stalingrad was coming in on his location fast, he had his crew at battle stations and he was going to win this battle this time. He smiled as a bright blue flash appeared on the screen as the Stalingrad appeared from slipstream, along with a large Klingon Bortasqu' appeared nearby.

"Tactical?" he demanded.

The tactical plot was showcased not he screen, he was outgunned and outmatched, he also knew it too. He growled softly. "Target the Klingon dog and put him out of my misery," he commented.

Meanwhile on the IKS Korinar, seated in his own command chair was Vice-Admiral Krann, Son of Magh'tor, he regarded the two ships before him. "Target the Queen Mary, we will shoot to disable. for I wish to board her and take prisoners." Krann ordered. "Ignore the Zalaan, gunner, she is a nuisance so we will deal with her accordingly," he added.

The chief gunner nodded his bald head. "Aye Admiral," he commented as if he was ordering food from the lunch menu in the messhall. "Loading warheads now," he added in the same bored tone. Krann raised an eyebrow as if to ask but then he knew better, the Gunner was feeling the same surge of emotions as was everyone else on the crew, the thrill of the hunt and the chaos of battle. The Gunner turned and grinned at the Admiral. "Want me to give the good Captain you're fine regards before I violate his bridge.?" the gunner inquired, showing some zeal, as he suddenly laughed like a demented madman.

Krann smiled, encouraged by his gunner's humour. "By all means..." Krann answered. "Fire at will," he added a moment later.

Meanwhile, on the Stalingrad, Fleet Captain Marie Yamaguchi grinned. "We are going to get some answers once and for all." she turned to Ken. "Shoot to disable... " she commented as Noros turned to the Caitian who was presently standing at tactical. "Hesutu... Target the Zalaan first, disable her or cripple her so she can't get away but I want her out of the fight first. okay?"

"You got it, Commander," M'kresst answered. "Missiles are loading now... The first salvo will be ready for launch in five seconds... Warspite will be the first target." he explained.

Zheng turned his head. "Skipper. I'm receiving a low-level communications message from the USS Zalaan, she's trying to hack our systems," he reported.

"Oh. I've had about enough of this..." Yamaguchi answered, her temper fusing white-hot. "Hesutu, shoot him, please... Put him out of my misery..." she added. The large Caitian went to work, as his first salvo added to the maelstrom of ordinance flying through space, missiles impacting on ships shields and when they breached those shields, they smashed into armour plating, as the soft dull thuds could be heard resonating throughout the hulls of the various ships in battle.

If the warheads had emotions, they would have smiled as they smashed themselves into the enemy ships and their shields as the Stalingrad all but demolished the USS Warspite with their first salvo, most of the warheads spent themselves against the ships shielding but some made it through as the shields collapsed to smash into the armour plating and the engines, reducing one of the two nacelles to little more then molten slag.

Lieutenant Raeven smiled as she turned to address her commanding officer. "Captain, the USS Zalaan is crippled. The Queen Mary is moving off sir..."

"What's her shield status?" Noros asked of the bridge crew.

"Queen Mary's shields are at twenty-four percent sir." came the answer from Zheng Jet, seated at Operations.

"Alright, prepare boarding parties..." Yamaguchi commented, she knew that Kira Stormrage would be leading some of the parties, just as she had a couple of days earlier, Harry Stamper would be leading the others. "Kell, keep our bow facing the Queen Mary... Zheng, keep a sharp eye out for mines and anything else. Raeven, help him with that... Jerzy, keep an eye out for any more attempts at hacking..." the older female seated in the command chair ordered.

Meanwhile, on the IKS Korinar, Krann smiled as he regarded the Queen Mary in the display before him. "Sir, she's moving off..." the first officer commented.

"Shield status?" Krann inquired in a flat tone of voice, keeping his emotions under control.

"Our shields are at Fifty-Four percent." one of his officers answered.

Krann nodded, "Very well... Helm, go after him but be subtle about it. I expect traps... Gunner, finish removing his shields."

"Aye Admiral." the gunner answered. "Her shields will be removed in a moment," he added in a flat, dull tone of voice.

Krann watched as another several dozen warheads all sped across space. When suddenly the Queen Mary's shields collapsed. "Now... Torel, I will have you," he commented. "Disable her warp engines."

The order was given and thus, it would be so as another four dozen missiles fled through space, producing explosions when their fuses ended or when they impacted against their destinations.

Aiden Torel turned. "Helm, engage warp engines now!" he roared as the battle damage flared and sparked around him, his bridge was turning into charred ruin, as was his ship and the cause he had fought so long and hard to see come into existence.

The helm officer worked his pannel, the Queen Mary flashed away into warp, the transition was a rocky one and Torel knew he had only delayed the inevitable.
