Mission: Mission 109: The Travelers Path
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1730Hrs - November 18th, 2393

Monique turned her attention to her new sibling, Krista as the two moved down the hallways towards their new destination when the shorter of the twins lifted her left hand to gently tap her combadge. "Deepshadow to Yeager. Aunt Talon... You there?"

"Yeah honey, what's up?" came the voice of the older woman. "Sammy said you'd be awhile... Is everything alright?"

"Not really. I will explain and Introduce you and Dad to Krista when I see you for dinner... I wanted to let you know that we will be late for dinner... I wanted to see mom first..."

"Makes sense. Your dad wants to see her as well. Y'know at times. I feel I'm sharing him with all sorts of other women... I wish he'd share with me... I feel so neglected..." she answered. "Okay, I'll let your dad know that you're still coming... set for one extra?"

"Yes please," Deepshadow answered. "You'll love Aunt Talon's cooking," Monique said to Krista. "and Dad's too..." she added with a wide smile.

Krista found she had no words as she watched Monique in silence before she spoke up. "I look forward to it."

"I'll make sure you get your money's worth sweetie. I always got space at my dinner table for one more..." Talon answered. "I'll let you go as you doubtless have much to do... Yeager out." and with that, the online was terminated.

Krista regarded her twin. "Wait... That was Admiral Yeager, since when does one make small talk with an Admiral?" it was a fair question.

"Since I'm the daughter of her husband," Deepshadow answered quietly. "You'll like Talon..."

Krista smiled. "I'd heard of her... and I've read about her... Apparently, she's quite the legend in some circles." she paused as she moved alongside her sibling as Monique came to a stop at a turbolift. "Mom should have arrived by now," Monique added before she tapped her combadge. "Computer, locate Captain Leah Anderson..."

"Captain Leah Anderson is on level sixty-eight, section fourteen." came the response from the base computer.

"Come on..." Monique said to her sibling as the turbolift doors opened, the two women stepped into the lift. "Deck Sixty-eight, section sixteen," she commented as Krista held her silence, her destination was the same, the turbolift computer waited and then it started off towards its destination. Monique turned to her sibling. "Mom has never once mentioned she had a second child with dad..."

"I can only imagine why..." Krista answered softly. "This is going to be a major surprise for her." she sighed.

"Indeed..." Monique let out a soft sigh.

"Why are you dating Jacob anyway...?" Krista inquired of her twin. "He looks like he might be magnificent in bed..."

"I didn't pursue Jacob because I do not need my mother thinking him a threat to me..." Monique smiled. "Jacob is an animal in bed and he makes me a very happy woman..." Deepshadow added.

"Just do me one favor... When all of this is done... Go home, call Jacob over and sort out your relationship with him, once... and for all... Do not pass on what is clearly our mother's baggage to him and then to your children... You can be assured that I won't be doing that..." Krista commented. "I have plans to handle children later on... First things first... I need to deal with the rest of my family..."

The turbolift doors opened as the two women exited the turbolift, before moving down the hallways towards Miranda Deepshadow's quarters, which the two women reached a moment later.

At just that moment, a tall female came around the corner, she was still in uniform as Monique smiled at her aunt. "Hey, Aunt Miranda... You don't mind if I sleep on your sofa for a few days while Dreamcrusher is in the dock?"

"What sort of question is that?" Miranda smiled at the two women in front of her. "You two look like you have a story to tell... but we're not having this chat in the hallway ladies... I'm old and my bones hurt." and with that, she went into what was clearly her home. Monique followed with a wide grin on her face as Krista followed in silence.

Miranda slipped off her uniform jacket. "Monique, you know where everything is. Help yourselves and make yourselves at home... I need a shower and a change of clothing... I stink..."

Krista smiled but she said nothing as Monique regarded her aunt. "Indeed. I'll start dinner... I'll get Krista to help me while I do it..."

"Krista..." Miranda raised an eyebrow as she regarded the second woman. "I'm Miranda Deepshadow." as she narrowed her eyes. "Wait, you're one of mine... aren't you?"

"I'm one of the medical officers assigned to Vanguard. Yes." Krista answered. "I don't wait to keep you... I'll help Monique with dinner, we can chat then..."

"Wise plan." and with that, Miranda moved into the bedroom, she shucked her clothing as she did so, now clad in only her skin as she lifted a sex toy from the top drawer of her nightstand, then she went into the bathroom to take care of matters great and small. Miranda had already had a busy day but she had not met the new medical officers, but something about the medical officer to her looked a little off, she dismissed the thought thinking that she was being paranoid. She turned on the water and stepped inside.
