| Personal History | Krista Deepshadow was Born in 2366 while her mother, Leah Deepshadow was at the academy, her mother was something of a party girl and she was seeing a new guy at almost every party which her dorm at the academy had with alarming frequency. But what was not common knowledge was the fact that Leah had twins, and one of them was stolen from her by a woman who was eager, some would say desperate to have a child of her own and when she was killed two weeks later in a robbery gone bad, things went from bad to worse for Kirsta, she wasn't in the system and had no records of any kind. So she was taken into state care on the Caitian world of Huthea who was rather terrible about its record-keeping. It seemed likely that this child would grow up alone and unwanted, however, all of this changed when Krista was taken into care by an older Caitian couple who had over a dozen grandchildren. They took in a human child and tried to raise her as best as they could with the best of the two worlds. Caitian and Human. Various efforts were made over the years to find her biological family but nothing turned up. As Krista grew up, she watched the Federation go from one disaster to another, one war to another ending in the Dominion Wars in the mid twenty-three seventies. This only added fuel to her desires to get into Starfleet quickly and at age eighteen she applied, for, was accepted and went off to the academy, leaving the world she had come to call home. Krista went off to head to Starfleet academy after she had been accepted. |
