IFO Change of Command

Posted on Fri Mar 13th, 2020 @ 7:18am by Admiral Jake Yamaguchi & Rear Admiral Heather Theriault & Rear Admiral Carl "Thunderhead" Patterson & Major General Alan Masters & Division Admiral April Dragon

Mission: Mission 93: Home Grown Fear and Terror
Location: New IFO Headquarters - Transwarp Network Command Station orbiting Jupiter
Timeline: July 22nd 2392

Admiral Briannai Perrywort slowly walked through the offices of the new IFO headquarters, surveying her command, and taking note of which officers would be loyal to her and which ones wouldn't. The New IFO headquarters was an impressive station, a massive immense class Starbase orbiting Jupiter and it serviced the first Federation transwarp hub, which was still under construction. As Perrywort finished taking mental notes of which officers would be loyal to her, she went to the commander's office, where she would be replacing Jake Yamaguchi in the role. She was flanked by two large and strong security officers whom she used as bodyguards.

Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi did not like this new location, he felt that Watchman Station was sufficient for the task that he had been assigned originally but apparently the higher-ups disagreed and so with the creation of the first gate of the Federation transwarp network, which was being created near Earth.

Yamaguchi had no love for his homeworld and he went out of his way to avoid it. He also never kept his disdain for the human high culture that was appearing in the Federation a secret either. "I've been here only two days and my replacement can have this shitheap. The door beeped at him.

"It's Open!" Jake called out.

Perrywort walked into the room like she owned the place. She turned her attention to Jake, saying in a formal and even slightly condescending tone. "Rear Admiral Yamaguchi, I am here to replace you as CO of IFO."

Jake regarded her as he tried to not lose his temper. "I see and who are you again?" he regarded her in a cold tone of voice. "I'm a very busy man so I got a lot to do."

Perrywort stared at Jake, replying, "Admiral Perrywort, and you are not as busy as you think." She produced a PADD and placed it on his desk,
"Those are your new orders, you are being reassigned to the Taurus Reach."

"Fine. Get out." Yamaguchi responded in a low growl. "Okay. Let me try that in English. Get the fuck. Out of my fucking office. Now.. As in right this second.." he paused. "Do those things on the side of your head work?. I assume they are there for decoration." Yamaguchi's temper melted down in truly catastrophic fashion.

Perrywort crossed her arms, her confidence, of course, boosted by the presence of her guards. "Excuse me, rear admiral, you are out of line, and in case you haven't noticed, I outrank you. You cannot order me to do anything. Besides, it's my office now."

Yamaguchi noted the three burly men around her. He let out a truly loud and long-winded yawn. "You are excused. Please. Depart now."

Perrywort frowned then affirmed, "Rear Admiral Yamaguchi, I am here to take charge of IFO, and I outrank you."

"Mmm. Oh right." Yamaguchi paused. "Whats with the goon squad?" he indicated the four burly security guys nearby. "Are you so weak that my words offend you?" he smiled. "Are you so insecure that you need armed men to help you go to the bathroom?" his smile widened. "Do they tuck you in at night?" Yamaguchi sighed. "Fine. Computer. Transfer command codes to Admiral Perryworrt. Authorization Yamaguchi Two Four Ten Juliet Bravo."

"Command codes transferred." was the response as Jake rose to his feet. "The office is all yours... But do be careful to not choke on your aspirations." and with that, he departed in silence. Yamaguchi felt like he had lost over ten pounds as he felt free.

Perrywort didn't even really acknowledge Jakes last comment. Instead, she calmly walked over to the desk and took a seat where Jake was sitting not moments before. And her first order of business, she grabbed a PADD with the list of IFO's command staff and started reviewing whom she was going to keep and whom she was going to get rid of.

Her first target was Rear Admiral Carl Patterson. She immediately knew he would have to go, his rank was too inferior to remain XO. So she wrote up his orders and then handed the PADD off to her Yeoman, a small squirrel of a man known as Captain Carl Robin.

The small man immediately ran off heading straight for Carl Patterson's office. Upon entering Robin squeaked, and handed Patterson a Padd.
"Sir, these are your new orders from command."

Carl Patterson was sitting back, arms behind his head as he seemed to be dozing on, almost blissfully unaware of what was going on around him. He heard the man walk in and drop the PADD onto his desk. "MmHmm. Why are you bothering me!" he commented evenly. "Speak!" he snapped.

"The Padd has your new orders sir," Robin replied as he stood at attention.

Patterson regarded him in silence. "It does now.?" he inquired. "Really... But tell me something. Who are you?" he inquired as he lifted the PADD. "Well. Speak boy!" Patterson smiled. "Have you no tongue?"

"Sir, I am Captain Carl Robin Sir," The man spoke as he still stood rigidly at attention.

"Captain?. I assumed you were a cadet, considering." he shrugged as he rose to his feet. "Freed from this damnation at long last." and with that, he went out the door and down the hall, he almost forgot to dismiss the spineless one but he figured why bother. This wasn't going to be his issue anymore so he went home.

Carl Robin didn't know exactly what to do next, as he just stood there for a minute, looking at the wall stupidly. The finally he walked out and went back to Perryworts office, who had a fresh set of orders for the man. This time, Carl Robin went to April Dragon's office to deliver the PADD to her.

Walking into her office, Robin stood at attention, holding out a Padd. "Sir, I am delivering your new orders for your next assignment."

April Dragon regarded him, fire in her eyes as she snatched the PADD out of his hands. "Coward. Your boss has no spine and. Neither do you." she growled as she read her orders. "Cadet. Why are you pissing and shitting all over my carpet?" she commented. "I mean you are a disgrace to the uniform."

"Sir, With all, do respect, no sir, my uniform is perfectly within reg's sir," Robin replied as he stood at attention.

Dragon rose to her feet, she lifted the PADD. "How old are you son. My youngest child has more balls than you and she's female," she added as she went over to him before she drove her fist into her chest before she brought him to his knees with four punches and one hooking with her right foot.

Dragon looked down at him. "Stop looking up my skirt," she commented like it was something she was used to. "I mean it cadet.." and with that, she departed her office.

Carl Robin just laid there on his back, completely dazed and confused, not even fully realizing just what the hell happened. IT took him ten minutes to get back to his feet and scurry back to Perryworts office. Perrywort completely ignored his injuries and instead instructed him to deliver another Padd, this one destined for Heather Theriault's office.

With his new Padd in hand, Robin scurried over to Theriault's office and did his usual intro, "Sir I have you new orders, sir."

"What happened to you?" the medical officer inquired. "You look like someone beat the crap out of you." she paused. "Considering you are hand-delivering orders like a puppet." the middle-aged human female chuckled softly. "Was is April who beat you?" she inquired. "or was it, Carl?"

Carl Robin didn't answer very effectively, instead, he just stuttered and couldn't say a proper answer.

Theriault opened her mouth to say something but she stopped. "Oh dear," she responded. "Someone has been abusive to you, haven't they?" as she lifted the PADD. "Fine... My successor can make some sense out of this." the female smiled. "But first. Before I go." and with that, she drove her knee into the man's balls. causing him to drop to his knees while he groaned loudly.

Theriault grinned. "Bye-bye." and with that, she skipped her way out of the office.

Carl Robin laid on the floor screaming, "My Balls, my Balls, why did she have to hit me in my balls."

Meanwhile, in the marine section, an older Female Eeiaouan officer, a General by the name of Blizzard River walked throughout the halls of the marine section. She wasn't much of the social type, however, she still tried to make an effort to talk to people in the section, as this would be her new command staff. After making these rounds, she then walked into the office of the current IFO commanding general, Corps General Alan Masters.

Blizzard River kept herself relatively casual, as she never cared much for human formality. "General Masters."

Masters regarded the new arrival. "General Blizzard River. I heard you were coming," he commented evenly. "What can I do for you?.. other than the office of course."

Blizzard took a seat in one of the chairs before explaining," Well, I'm not here to kick you out right this second, though yes IFO in the marines has expanded, and unfortunately you're not eligible for promotion."

River then cut straight to the point, "I've seen your record, and you're a good general, so if you want, I would like to keep you around in IFO, there are multiple positions opening up for corps generals, and I don't want to keep as many good leaders as possible. I'm sure you have read up on what will be coming up, so do you have any positions in mind that you want."

Masters raised an eyebrow. "Go on?" he responded in a cool tone of voice.

River thought of a couple of positions that would be coming up, "Well, the USS Valhalla is going to have a full Field group. My first choice for command of that marine unit will be Lieutenant General Steven Johnson, and he is going to need up to four corps generals under him. you're my first choice so far for the XO of that unit."

Masters held his silence. "Were it not for him. I'd be telling you 'thanks but no thanks, hand me my orders and show me the door.'." he paused. "I'll go work with Steve, we've served together before in the past."

River sensed something was wrong, so she asked, "Is something bothering you."

"I've seen what the fleeters are up to. If the new head of IFO starts with me as I expect her to. I do not wish to cause problems for you." Masters responded.

"Oh, you mean Admiral Brianatard." River remarked casually, "Yeah don't worry about that nitwit. We are marines, we don't answer to morons like that. If that woman goes and pushes you around you have my permission to tell her to shove it where the sun doesn't shine."

Masters paused. "I've seen the new leadership coming in and they are going to turn IFO into a festering stinking shitpile," he commented. "Except for marines and fighter corps."

"Well, either way, you're going to be on a starship out in space and not here, so you won't ever have to see Admiral Perrworts face," River explained.

"Good." Masters answered quietly. "So.. tell me about the Valhalla. I heard she's supposed to be massive but that's all I know."

River pulled up the ship specs on her PADD, answering, "well the USS Valhalla is the first of her class, a Valhalla class fleet command ship. The ship is a 4.6 billion ton vessel with over ten times the volume of an Odin class. She only has 50% more armaments than an Odin, but she is mainly a support ship, carrying lots and lots of industrial replicators, communications equipment, and enough space for 300,000 marines and their equipment, and that number can be increased to a million during wartime. Basically, the ship is a mobile starbase, pretty much."

"How are we building these things anyway.?" Masters inquired. "I recall twenty years ago, they were bitching about the massive size of the Galaxy when she first came out. I remember my grandfather telling me that the Excelsior was huge." he sighed softly.

"We are able to build starbase's like this immense class base," River mentioned. "And this thing absolutely dwarfs the Valhalla

"Very nice." Masters answered. "Alrght. I'll leave as soon as I'm packed."
