Giving Birth: Talons Babies

Mission: Mission 94: Shattered Shields and Crack'd Swords
Location: Various Locations - USS Shinano
Timeline: 0200Hrs - 17th July 2392

The first hint that Davijaan got that something was going on with his wife was that Talon didn't sleep well and she had woken up twice earlier, this had the effect of waking him as well.

Yeager blinked his eyes as he found himself being wide awake with Talon curled up in a small ball as she was moaning loudly. "Uhhhh..." she hissed in pain.

Yeager sat up as he turned to Talon, her eyes were wide awake and it was the look in her eyes that got him moving. "Right.. come on hon, we're off to sickbay." as he lifted the robe that Talon had draped over a chair near her side of the bed. Talon gently peeled off the blanket to reveal a rather large and ugly puddle of water around Talon's midsection. "Okay.." he commented as he gently placed the robe down before gently picking up his wife in his arms. Yeager smiled. "Red looks good on you Talon... But I don't think you are getting laid for the foreseeable future."

Talon sighed softly as she gently picked up the robe in her hand. "Set me down a moment.." she gasped. Yeager did so as she draped the robe over her shoulders and she closed it around her figure. "Alright.."

"Come on." and with that Yeager carried his wife out the door and down the hallway towards the sickbay.

A few minutes later, the double doors to sickbay opened and in walked Yeager, carrying his wife in his arms. "Nurse!" he called.

Three medics all rushed over, medkits in hand, practically falling over themselves to examine Admiral Yeager. Davijaan Yeager held his silence as he watched these three people all shower his wife with attention. "Bring her over here please sir." the senior ranking officer commented. Yeager did exactly what as Talon regarded them. "Whats going on with me guys?" she inquired, she had a good idea but she wanted to be sure for once and for all.

An older Doctor came around the corner. "Whats going on..." he paused before he came over. "Admiral.. Let me give you the once over."
he opened his tricorder before he set it for a standard scan and he double checked his results he got from Talon. "Well..." the Lieutenant regarded his tricorder and then he regarded her. "I'd say congratulations Admiral, you are having your babies now."

"Okay." Davijaan commented. "Shall we get her set up?"

"Yes Captain, a wise plan.." the doctor responded commented. "I can bring her a wheelchair..."

"Not necessary." Davijaan shared a look with his wife before Talon shook her head. Yeager gently held his wife in his arms while he followed down the hallway towards the birthing room.

A short time later. Talon was half sitting and half lying in a chair as she was busy being prepared for the birth of her children. The door opened and in came a rather large Bolian male who was wearing medical teal. "Good Morning Admiral... How are you feeling?"

"I've been better Doctor." Talon answered honestly. "I feel like I'm being pulled apart."

"Thats because you aren't fully dilated yet." Lenaris Dvald explained. "You are coming along nicely."

Talon nodded her head as she turned her attention to her husband who was sitting by her side. "I'm right here Talon." he commented gently as he gently took her hand in his own. "You know what you're doing... Lets get this show in the road." he smiled as he brushed her bangs out of her eyes.

Talon settled in to focus on her breathing, she sighed softly before she nodded. "Right... I got this.." she whimpered softly before she shifted her attention to her breathing.

Davijaan settled in as he got comfortable next to his wife, however, he lost track of time as he focused on his wife's movements and breathing, Talon likewise had lost track of time as she focused on her own breathing and the like.

The Bolian nurse regarded Talon. "Nice, you are not fully dilated." before she gently wiped Talon's face and head with a damp cloth "Easy Admiral... " she whispered.

Talon looked up at her appreciatively, if not a bit exhausted. "I feel... abused," she admitted.

An hour later Talon was sweating, swearing, grunting and yelling. "I need you to bear down Talon". Talon growled as she flopped back in her chair, exhausted. "Talon!" she glared at him "What the hell do you think I'm doing?" she snapped back at the Doctor.

"I can see the head of the first child... Push Talon."

Talon gritted her teath as she did exactly that, she pushed out her son first, the nurse was on site and she separated him from Talon with a laser scalpel, before she began cleaning him off.

The Doctor smirked "Ok...good. I can see the head of the second child". Talon gasped while she smiled but it was short-lived. One last push and the doctor was holding the second baby. Talon almost passed out from the relief before she dropped back into her chair, relieved that it was all over.

"Is they ok?". Talon inquired softly, her words were slurred as she was exhausted. The doctor smiled as he placed the infant in her arms. "They are just fine" she looked down at her children and couldn't help but cry.

Tiris gently wiped Talon's face and head with a damp cloth "You did fine Admiral.... " she whispered. "he's adorable" she added with a smile

Davijaan gently received their new daughter's tiny form which had been wrapped up in a blanket while Talon held their son in her arms. "Wow... well thats... exhausting.."

The Doctor grinned. "My wife has been here a few times... I've been in your shoes before Captain.." Lenaris explained evenly. "Do you have names for them?"

"Edward Yeager.," Davijaan responded. "For my father..."

"Syal Yeager... For my friend... and ships Exec.."

"Syal would be honored.." Lenaris grinned. "Alright.. Lets get you moved into some decent accommodations so you can wash up and get some rest Talon.. you've had quite a day.."

"Sounds good to me Doctor.. Lets do this."
